Elsie Fisher is on the run. Not from the law, but from an abusive past, and a man who will not rest until she is back by his side. Along with her partner, Peter, she finds some small refuge in their new home, an apartment in an old, decaying tower block. Here, among the desperate residents and other lost souls, misery and despair are her constant companions. A new job and a potential friend only manage to offer a tiny respite from the ever present torment her life has become.
But Eden Tower Apartments holds a dark secret. Something malignant and terrible has found a home here, and it has taken a great interest in Elsie. Already fearful of the man that pursues her, and harbouring a growing terror of the world outside, Elsie begins to realise that far from being the sanctuary she needs, her new home harbours a danger much worse than she could possibly have imagined.
The horror that lurks within the graffiti covered halls of her new home has awakened, and it has been waiting for someone just like Elsie.
If she is to survive, Elsie must come to terms with the fear and dread that haunts her every waking hour. If she is to overcome the rot that surrounds her, she will have to find a strength she never knew she had. And she will have to face something more horrifying than her worst nightmares.
