It was a crucial piece of intel, and now they had coordinates for the RNS Freedom . The allies’ next move could change the course of everything, but there was just one question. Was the Viceroy’s final card to play enough to save the Republic?
The Gallentine Emperor isn’t pleased.
Could Viceroy Miles Hunt lose his place of influence?
Sakura and her team had discovered an ancient portal, but it wasn’t like the others. After being sealed for thousands of years, would opening it unlock Pandora’s box?
Were some secrets better left undiscovered?
Or would the answers there save them all?
Into the Uncertain pushes our heroes to their limits, forcing them to make decisions that will alter the fate of humanity. You’ll love this 9th book in this incredible military science fiction thriller series because some mysteries are solved and others have just begun.
Having read all of this series, this one to date, is my least favorite. I feel that some of the intricacies of the battles are glossed over a bit too quickly and without enough attention to the "practicality" of small unit combat. It reduces the closeness of people in the units fighting for each other.
Conversely some of the strategies of large-scale conflicts are also-at least appear to be-randomly occurring events without much discussion or development of the strategies being considered, deployed, and why. Being able to relate science fiction to real world fighting, conflicts, and character development is my interest. Maybe I'm off path, but.... lastly is the mad doctor in an office that is secret and hidden from everyone else? with a bunch of family pics? then why is he asked about WHY he keeps all of the pics? who asks if no one knows about the office?
Finally, a bit more of the Viceroy and council and maybe a bit less of the Gurista/Muhbaharraat (sp). The potential intrigue of that storyline vs off world espionage would be preferred.
I am glad this series will come faster now that the authors have finished their Monroe Doctrine project.
Glad to hear the books in this series will now come faster since the other series is complete. Good ones are so hard to wait for but always worth it! Cliff hanger in this one(insert Jaws theme music here.) lol I will say this one has so many irons in the fire, across the board that some of the in-depth feelings for some of the long-lived characters(which frankly there aren’t that many anymore) is a little lost. But the authors do try to touch base on most of them as they’re incorporated into the fighting, prep, R&D, etc. I really do like these characters and would hate to see anyone else lost. July can’t get here fast enough! ;-)
Well, never let it be said that Rosone bores you. Many surprises here, with some -establishing humanity as descendants of the vanished technocrats - as opening new and fascinating threads. Sometimes got jolted by the switching up of one thread to another by chapters. Nevertheless, will continue following this great yarn to its conclusion.
A well written book/series on what might be outside our solar system
For me it’s had to define in one sentence (I.E. title) book 9. So all I can say is if you’re into stories that mix some elements of reality (for example the way battles are fought) and science fiction ( also very well thought out and written). Then this book/series is for you.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm looking forward to the next one in the series and I'm excited that there are plans for more. I enjoyed the completeness of the story. The characters seem well developed and strong. The scenarios they're getting into are possible in the storyline.
Loved it , this series gets better and better. Have been so blessed to on a whim start this series nd haven't looked back The development with the humatars , orbits etc the characters ... Highly recommended
I’d highly recommend this series. Two excellent authors who know how to write a story and keep the audience enthralled! Can’t wait for the next in the series!
I leave the series for a while and always come back. This was a really good book regarding our humanity and how we think and feel. Love this series and the characters (a lot of them).
The authors have created a wonderful universe with good guys and bad guys. The battles are amazingly written. There is a large cast of characters... without being overwhelming somehow!
I have enjoyed this series and really looking forward to see where this goes. Almost feel it should be longer and there is room to build background with spin offs.
