This series was soo00000000 good. I loved it so much.
The series is very dark and psychological, I read it so fast, that just shows how good it was. The only remark that I have is that the ending could have been better. I mean it was good but if you compare it with the series as a whole, I expected more from it. But I still highly recommend it!

i prefer to review the whole series at once, like an album as opposed to songs.
at the heart of this manga is a really good story that made me cry on multiple occasions. the characters are nothing special in the grand scheme of things, but they play into each other really well.

however, i cannot get behind the multiple appeals to authority. they are endless.

and i didnt like the attempt to appeal to modern issues toward the end, with allusions to COVID and modern racial issues (it’s not that i disliked it for being political, but instead that in their attempt, they fell flat on their faces.).

and it seemed like this manga’s solution to all political issues is seeing the humanity in all people and trying to do as little violence as possible — bad takes.

but again, i cried like a baby. it was very easy to get attached to the characters. they grew and triumphed, and i wish them the best in their fictional futures.

although, second critique, it seemed that ray didnt really get to have his own influence in the later parts of this. he became very side character, would have liked to see more of the plot around him.

Terminé… o el manga terminó conmigo.

Todavía tengo sentimientos encontrados con el final, me gustó pero hasta ahí creo)??? Pero lo que si sé es q amo a Ray, Emma y Norman, pasaron por las mil y unas y aún así ahí siguen. En sí me gustó toda la trama, al principio me pareció interesante lo de los demonios y luego no fui mas que irme enganchando de a poco. También fue un respiro entre tantos parciales y entregas (#Ayuda).

Todavía lo sigo procesando así que seguro después modifique esto…

ساید معمایی داستان به شدت زیبا بود، توی ۱۰-۱۲ ولیوم اول همیشه با یه سوپرایز عمیق و زیبا مواجه می‌شدی که بچه‌ها درگیرش می‌شدن و باید ازش سربلند(!) بیرون میومدن.
بعدش ولی خیلی روتین جلو رفت. یه سری اتفاقا خیلی سریع افتاد و در نهایت شاید بشه گفت ولیوم آخر یه مقداری جمعش کرد. ولی شاید حتی نه اونقدری خوب. داستان اما کشش خیلی خوبی داشت و ۷-۸ روزه کلش رو خوندم.
در کل خوشحالم و لذت بردم از خوندنش. اگه ۳-۴ ولیوم آخر رو در نظر نگیریم به نظرم حتی ۴ یا ۴.۵ بود.
ولی با اونا بین ۳ تا ۳.۵

Enjoyed this series so much! Each chapter and volume made me want to keep on reading and it felt very easy to read (presumably because it is a manga with not a lot of words). The art was also really well made.

This is a masterpiece. An amazing story. Beats the hell out of your typical male protagonist that has to kick the shit out of every bad guy. I hope to find more hidden gems like this series. Give it a read, it's epic. Read into it. Discover things you never knew about yourself.

The first volume was the best one, with a real feeling of mystery and cleverness around how the kids plan out their escape and the impossibility of their success. After that while it's not outright bad the story never reaches the same highs, and intoruduces cool plots or elements but rushes them or creates less inventive means of escape that hamper the narrative. Overall it was good at times great, at times boring and lousy.

One of the few manga I’ve ever read to completion and it did not disappoint. It never got too cheesy, but just the right amount of hope so that the impossible seemed like it might just be possible.

I think it does start off a little horror-esque but become more of a thriller as you keep reading.
