Slapped kinda hard, but the part where Bambi used to bring men into the house Mateo paid for whilst he was in jail was a bit icky. She was a free woman, but it wasn’t my fave part.

Libro sobre Mafia
Matteo esta en la cárcel por posesión de armas pero el hecho de que casi fue acusado de asesinato y la que testificara fuera su prometida tuvo que ser el claro ejemplo de que ya se terminó su relación pero al salir de la cárcel lo único que hace es buscar a su prometida ya que es el amor de su vida, Bambi sufre de ataques de pánico gracias a que presenció un asesinato en que el culpable era su prometido inmediatamente ella llama a la policía todo y ella al asistir al juzgado piensa que se va a librar de Matteo lo que no espera es que el la vaya a buscar al pasar 3 años ya cuando el conceden libertad y le dice que van a estar juntos para siempre.
Este libro me gustó y a la vez no, Mucho conflicto de que si es el malo si no lo es que lo ama que después lo amaba y me pareció que caminaron en un circulo vicioso desde la primera página, Bambi sabía que él era malo porque ella misma lo acepta dijo que vio muchas veces identificaciones falsas, armas y demás pero ojo ella nunca pensó que asesinaría personas o sea EN QUE CABEZA y literalmente ella conocía lo que se susurraba sobre su familia. Estuve en mucho conflicto con los protagonistas porque Matteo no se queda atrás el hecho de que tratara de justificarse¿? O sea no hay necesidad eres malo y punto y al final adivinen BAMBI LE PIDE QUE PUEDE MATAR AL QUE AMENACE A SU FAMILIAAA!! no que muy encontrá de los asesinatos??? Y al final le pides eso a Matteo, en verdad desde que ví los personajes en el libro anterior sabía que no me iba a gustar mucho y fue tal como lo pensé. Matteo tampoco me gustó cómo digo el hecho de que fuera posesivo si delicioso pero hasta el mismo entro en una depresión solo porque Bambi no lo iba a visitar a la cárcel y se sintió tan mal allá y lit el seguía con que ella y ella, PENSO EN MATARLAAAAA en un momento de irá pero OJO lo dice tan normal y el hermano muy bien que hayas combatido tu momento de irá 🧍🏾♀️ WTF. Al final viven juntos y felices porque ella quedó embarazada y ahí se dió cuenta de que en verdad le podía dar otra oportunidad y felices para siempre.

It has been 3 years since Bambi's testimony that sent her fiancé, Mateo, to prison. Three years in which she tried to move on with her life and start over in all areas, especially in the romance department. Now Mateo is out and determined to get his fiancée back. Will his persistence break down all of the walls Bambi has carefully constructed to protect her heart?
This was a fun story to read. I loved how the reconstruction of the relationship between Bambi and Mateo played out, especially from Bambi's point of view. She knows she should want nothing to do with her ex-fiancé- he's dangerous and has a past that may just be too much for Bambi to handle is she were to discover the entire truth.
The banter between these two was also really fun to read. The barbs back and forth were carefully crafted to express not only their past but the depth of the emotions they were feeling and the dirty talk was exquisite (add in the spice that happened and I can understand why Bambi was waffling back and forth between picking up where they left off and completely moving on). The banter between Mateo and his brothers was also really fun to read. You get the sense that they are quite the tight knit family and it was really fun to get a glimpse at that.
This book does come with some trigger warnings- there are some events that happen that may not sit well with all but as long as you read them before hand and are comfortable with what happens, this ends up being a really fun, fast paced read- certainly one that you would be able to read in one sitting. This is also the 2nd book in the series, but there is no need to read them in order- events that happened in the first book were vaguely mentioned in this book so you don't feel like you are missing any of the plot.
I can't wait to get my hands on the next installment- in the mean time, I will be reading the first book in the series just to learn more about this family!

Part of The Valenti Crime Family series each book can be read as a standalone yet connects through the family with a sexy, coming for his girl second chances. Mateo sexy as all get out Valenti was engaged to event coordinator until she witness him strangling a man to death and actions, her words sent him to prison for five years but lack of evidence, a body he served three before being released. Upon release he has one goal find his girl. Bambi didn’t really know what to thing about what she saw especially after ending a Valenti to prison she knew she had to run ensuring her own sanity and she also knows that he will come for her so a game of cat and mouse has begun. She has evaded him for two years but a retirement party brought the two of them face to face but she is afraid of him struggles with having to witness the death of a man at the hands of the man she loved and all he wanted to do was love her. The attraction is intense and the magnetic pull hasn’t lessen with the years in fact the pull is stronger between them but she know he is going to make her pay but will she accept who he really is, who his family is, can she be okay with it all, will he forgive her betrayal, will his family forgive her betrayal, and can they find their HEA the second time around?.

"Life is so much more complicated than a fairytale."
Deviant Desires is the second book in the From Manhattan, With Love series, originally The Valenti Crime Family series. I will be honest in that I was not sure about this book for the first couple of chapters but I kept reading and eventually Bambi Schelling and Mateo Valenti clicked for me. Bambi and Mateo were engaged and moving in together when she sees him choking to death a man and runs. She reported it to the police and he ended up being convicted of possession of a firearm and going to jail for five years. Now he is out and ready to claim Bambi again.....but this skittish doe is running as fast as she can from him. Mateo has a plan to get her back, trapping her if it comes to that as he is determined to never let her go. But Bambi has grown stronger over the years and will put up a fight to the end.
I will say that I wanted to grab Bambi and run and at the same time I wanted to kick some Mateo butt in the worst way. But I still enjoyed the story and the characters, as there are some twists along the way. The characters have a great chemistry with some fun and barbed banter flying between them. Overall this is a great series.

Deviant Desires: A Dark Mafia Romance was a great addition to The Valenti Crime Family Series. Kelsie Calloway is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. She has written an exciting book which I was able to finish in one sitting. The storyline was original and unlike anything I have read before in a short mafia romance book.

Now Mateo is out and it is time to collect on the promise he made to Bambi before he was locked up. I liked Bambi, but I adored Mateo (hey, don't judge me - I know he is a murderer, but.....) He had a lot of time to think about her while behind bars and his feelings for her are just as strong. Bambi thinks Mateo had forgotten about her until he calls to reminder her of his promise. Mateo can't believe that Bambi doesn't love him any more and plans on proving it to her. Will he be able to win the love of his life back or is it a hopeless cause? This is book 2 in the Valenti Crime Family series. This novella focuses on Mateo and Bambi. Bambi testifies and gets Mateo, her fiancé, sent away to prison. Mateo isn't giving Bambi up that easily though. Mateo has a obsession with Bambi, even many years later. Bambi thinks Mateo is a bad person because of what he did. Mateo doesn't care, he wants Bambi regardless and even if he has to take what he wants. There's a lot of ups, downs, twists, and turns for this couple. Somewhere along the way Bambi's opinion of Mateo changes but Mateo has decided to move on. I like this series because the men are very OTT, posessive, obsessive, but they're willing to do what it takes for their woman. My favorite part in this book, the gift basket. Mateo would've put a lot of thought into each item. Plus it really showed Mateo wanted a future together and wanted to make it work. This series is very good, quick to read, and the chemistry is always off the charts.

As soon as I started reading I knew I wanted to finish the book. I felt Mateo was too obsessed with Bambi. He was thinking about what he wanted and not necessarily thinking about how Bambi felt. When Mateo explained all the real facts about what she saw that awful day. Bambi started having second thoughts about Mateo that perhaps he did what he had to do to protect the ones he loved. I wonder if they really could get back the love they originally had for one another after being apart for so many years. If they will learn from this whole sordid incident. When Bambi's fears were revealed it was very realistic. Her physical and emotional reactions to Mateo being back in her orbit. The ending was not joyful. But it was one of quiet resignation to live, learn and do better. This is a good read.

I was excited to read this story as the first one in the series was really good and I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed this one and was truly invested in the characters and what was going to happen with their relationship. I thought that the times they hooked up were erotic and laced with a bit of danger which made it exciting. It was dark and gritty in other spots and that lent well to the story. Then it came to the ending. It felt like it ended in the middle of a train of thought. I actually had to go backwards and then forward again on the pages to make sure I didn't click my mouse too many times and miss a page. I'd finally had my faith in this author restored in the first book in this series that she really could end a book well, and then this book happened. I'm shaking my head in disappointment right now. I can only hope that the next book, while focusing on another brother, will provide insights into Mateo's story so that I can have some closure on what happens at the end of his story.

This book is such a captivating story if you ask me I love it so much I couldn’t put down from start to finish! It has mystery crime steamy scenes a page turner unpredictable moments and much more to keep you hooked! When craziness gets in the way of exciting marriage plans everyone will never never be same except maybe the people involved bodies know what they want lol! There are a lot of ups and downs but the main guy character won’t give up no better what even when everyone else says differently. The characters are both stubborn as can be which makes for funny frustration moments I’m so happy with how everything turned out mafias books are so of my favorites too read especially enemies to lovers happy endings! Get ready for a adventure of the heart wants what the heart wants with these amazing strong characters!:).

Un hombre italiano que se llama Mateo y es demasiado seguro de si mismo, obvio que voy a leer este libro y me voy a enamorar de él.
Un libro corto en donde él está obsesionado con ella, es su ex y ella como que lo odia un poco. Él la stalkea y no sé si es lo más tierno o lo más psicópata que he leído.
Nuestro protagonista no está sólo enamorado de ella, la excusa de haber estado con más hombres mientras él se mantuvo esperándola, no es sólo amor, es obsesión. Mateo es un chico obsesionado y me encanta. Obsessed and delusional.
Bambi fue un personaje que me gustó porque no se dejaba engañar por nuestro chico y se mantuvo fuerte y resistente a él casi todo el libro - bueno, casi.
Fue un libro que para ser cortito ha tenido todo lo que me encanta en un libro de mafia, el tipo totalmente moralmente gris y todo lo que hacía estaba al borde de ser el tipo más psicópata e irse directo a la cárcel -nuevamente.

A promise kept one way or another! This is about Bambi and Mateo. Bambi catches Mateo killing a man in their new home but doesn’t stick around to find out what is happening and instead calls the police, so he is in jail and serves three years as a body was never found; now he is back and wants to get her back. He and his family have money, and they get things to happen, so he ends up buying the house across from hers to keep an eye out for her. A lot of things occur including him giving up, but that doesn’t last long and she then has the decision to make after hearing everything out.

If you are after a short mafia read then look no further then Kelsie Calloway's Deviant Desires. Mateo & Bambi's story is darkness, accidental pregnancy & second chance all wrapped up into one short & tempting read.

Good but not great
There were a few things I felt missing from this story.
The first time they were back together could've been in a better situation then in her office in shock. Then there were so many references to other things they have done in the bedroom but nothing other then straight 'love making' was written.
Kelsie can breach subjects and write about things that are adventurous in the bedroom and that's why I like her but in this one we were told that that's what they are but nothing of what they do and we never got any scenes.

Mateo spent the last 3 years in jail due to his fiancé's Bambi's testimony, and nows he's out and after her. Bambi knew the man she was engaged to was dangerous but its not until she witnesses it with her own eyes that it becomes real. After Mateo was sent away she tried to get her life sorted, only for Mateo to return. He gave her space for 2 years but now he's done waiting and he wants his forever with her. Well written steamy second chance romance, with stalker obsessive themes

This is a dark romance. Mateo is part of a powerful family. He is in love with Bambi. Bambi loves him too until she sees something and calls the police. After being separated for 3 years, Mateo comes back for Bambi. He is a patient man.
This book kept me guessing what would happen next. Almost everything was a surprise and I loved every bit of it!.

First off it's not my favorite story. I kind of felt bad for Matteo he really loved Bambi and after she ratted him out, he still stayed true. Bambi moved on while Matteo was in prison and that was kind of icky for me. Okay they weren't together anymore but she still kinda loved him. So that's not my jam. All in all a nice story about how Matteo stalked and fought for his love. Second chance with a kind of abrupt ending and without an epilogue.

I absolutely love heading back to the Valenti Crime series. This book gives us Matteo and Bambi's story. She saw her fiance take someone's life, and this book sets everything straight and gives them the second chance they deserve. I love every book Kelsie writes and can not wait for more from this fabulous family.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it certainly won’t be the last. I absolutely loved it. The emotions that each character felt and the chemistry between them were so visceral. The steamy scenes could fog glasses for miles. 🔥🥵😍

"Deviant Desires" is the story of Bambi and Mateo.
The plot is very sexy- hero witnesses the hero committing a crime and gives testimony against him. He ends up going to jail, and comes back obsessed with her.
My issue: Did we really have to hear detailed descriptions of the heroine's encounter with so many OM? And why was the ending so abrupt? No resolution!

Loving this series!! They can be read as standalone. Action, drama, suspense, twists & turns that will
Keep you engaged from beginning to end. Mateo, after Bambi has done the ultimate and had him sent to jail, still wants to be with her. Will he be able to win her back or has she really moved on? Get ready for a crazy ride.

OMG!!!
Loved reading Deviant Desires. I was sucked into this book with the first chapter and couldn’t put this book down. The chemistry between Bambi and Mateo was sizzling HOT. Hands down this book was an awesome read!!! I can’t wait for the next book Filthy Sinner to come out!!

Mateo and Bambi's story is a fantastic second chance romance. The chemistry between these two is off the charts smokin HOT! Their journey carries you along as if you're right there in the story with them. Deviant Desires is an absolute must read!

Interesting book! Bambi saw Mateo kill someone and ended up testifying against him. Fast forward and Mateo is out of prison and wants Bambi back. He’s still in love with her! She doesn’t want anything to do with him or does she?
