The Faerie Wand is the fourth book in the Dark World: The Faerie Games series by Michelle Madow and it's not a stand-alone. The main character is Selena and this is her journey. There is also Torrence, who feels like a secondary main character and we frequently see the events from her point of view.
This part of the story felt like the stepping point and from now on, I think the story will be full of actions. The book set up many things to come and I wonder how everyone's story will end. Julian was a little shady in this book and the only thing that kept me from freaking out was knowing that he and Selena are soulmates. Torrence's journey with Reed, Thomas and Sage is still very interesting and I want to them finding with Selena soon. I also wonder when she and Reed will stop teasing us and become a couple.
The book is full of surprises and I enjoyed every single page of it. I am looking forward to the next book hoping that the characters won't suffer a lot. As usual, the book ends on a cliffhanger and I would recommend it.
In the first post games book, we are now following two groups out on their own quests. Unfortunately, I still can care less about any of the characters (in fact, the one I was beginning to like began to become a bi%#&, and I no longer wanted to get to her parts.) Will Selena and her soulmate get to the wand? Of corse she will, she has it on the cover, you know she gets it before opening the book!
This was a decent read in the series. Now that the faerie games are over Selena is to go on a quest. She has to deal with a lot of things. The ending was surprising and sets you up for the next book. I look forward to seeing how this will all end in the next/last book.
In one word - WOW! An edge of your seat thrilling adventure that picks up where book 3 left off. Soulmates Julian and Selena was given a quest in order to survive and return to Avalon. They must find and bring back the Holy Wand to the Empress of the Underworld all the while Torrence, Reed, Thomas and Sage are on their own quest to find and bring four magical items back to King Devin so he would help them with their search for Selena. Selena and Julian, fighting the plague which seems to be spreading from kingdom to kingdom turning the fae into faezombies to get to the Sanctuary where they will try to find the wand. This book kept me speechless turning pages until the end. AND what a surprise ending, complete with cliff hangers for the final book in this series. (will there be spinoffs?) What happened to Selena and where did she go? The love-hate relationship between Torrence and Reed cracked me up! Will Torrence and the other 3 find Selena? And throughout the chapters, Julian keeps starting to tell Selena something but continually something stops him from finishing. What could he be wanting to tell her that seems important? Does Selena's stubborness get her in trouble? Will they find the wand and survive the quest? So many cliff hangers in this one that will make you impatient for the next (and last) book in the series! I received and ARC from the author but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
I love the worlds that Michelle creates. She is so wonderful at creation a sence that you are there living in that moment. Selena and Julian have begun the hunt for the wand. And of course with the fae nothing is as easy as it seems. They hits some bumps along the road and learn the truth of the elusive plague. The relationship is test as they learn to work together and the struggles of quest makes it feel as though the games never ended. Torrence is also learn that things are more difficult then they appear and that Mage is still getting under her skin 😄 Love this world.
Omg I think I've said that a lot reading this book it was so good i love Michelle's writing but this book had a lot of them omg moments. Selena and Julian have set off to find the faerie wand so they can bring it back to be proclaimed winners of the Fearie Games however finding the wand isn't easy like everything they've been through already it has many complications. Selena and Julian encounter a lot of danger from the blackened dead fae to creatures and lands long thought to be just stories told to children. All the while when looking for the wand Selena doesn't realise that her and Julian are not the only ones with a quest to complete her friends from Avalon have to complete Prince Devin's task to be rewarded with entry to the land of the Fae they risk there lives only to find out the fae aren't the only ones not to be trusted as it seems the Prince has alterior motives for his quest. There is betrayal, finding lost friends if only for a short time and magic unleashed but is it enough to save the fae from the black death to save Selena and Julian from whats to come to make up for betrayal that's happened. Can't wait to see what happens next 😊

Trials & Tribulations and the biggest shocking betrayal of the whole series assault Selena & Julian on the quest given to them by the Empress to find the Holy Wand ! Venturing in to dangerous & unknown lands with life threatening consequences and battles, you will find this book is packed with so many knuckle biting suspenseful moments. The plague is spreading quickly & more deadly than they realised. A bewildering & daunting visit to the underworld surprises them both. Help is fortuitously received on their journey with the gods & surprising new family members. Michelle Madow has this amazing ability to make you feel the emotions of her characters in worlds of her own creation giving me the confidence to recommend any of her series. I don’t like spoilers so I don’t want to recite the all the actions and discoveries on this journey, however I will say that after Selena discoveries her powers, she questions the quest she was given and is able to turn the trickery of the Fae’s wordings against them, until Michelle Madow leaves us an astounding bombshell of a cliffhanger. Book.5. Can’t come soon enough for me
Oh wow, what an amazing book! I think it is my favorite book in this series. Seriously, so much suspense and so many interesting things happening within so few pages, brilliantly done! I love it and I think it is a must-read for all paranormal and mythology fans. The story continues from where it left off in the last book. Julian and Selena are on the quest to find faerie wand and end the plague which is rumored to have spread in the Otherworld. But this journey won't be easy and they will face many dangers to overcome. Anyhow, they are not your everyday half-bloods so they might yet defeat every challenge coming their way. On the other side, Selena's friends are working on finding their way to the Otherworld and save her. They are facing challenges of their own and there isn't a single dull moment in this action-and-adventure-packed book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and recommend it to all book lovers.
Well the Faerie Games are over well sort of. Both sets of groups are still on their quests to finish what they started in the last book. Julian starts to act weird halfway through the book, I think I know why but it's not addressed in this book. Julian and Selena both half to make it through a lot of challenges to make it back to the citadel. The book ends on a cliffhanger but the next book is the last book and will answer all of our questions, I hope. If you have been following this series you will enjoy this book.
*I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.*
I loved this book. It has kept me engrossed from beginning to end and I am now eagerly anticipating the next one. Selena and Julian have to find and retrieve the Faerie Wand Finding where it was located was difficult enough, but getting there and bringing it back was something else. Meantime, Torrence, Reed, Sage and Thomas are on their own quest. The hopes being that if they complete the quest they will be able to get to Otherworld and bring back Selena. Both groups have nearly impossible tasks to complete and each group has no idea about what the other group is doing.
Action, adventure, thrills and, yes, romance are abundant in Michelle Madow’s The Faerie Wand (Dark World: The Faerie Games, Book 4). The end of the Faerie Games was not even remotely the series end. Questing is key here, not just for Julian and Selena but also for Torrence, Reed, Thomas and Sage. Perfect writing is equally key in a book that will leave you aching for the last, final, book in the series. Despite leaving me with that ache, though, I’m happy to highly recommend this book.
The continuation of the Faerie Games saga and it doesn't let us down. Selena and Julian are on the quest to find the Wand so they can win the Faerie Games; otherwise they will both be killed. Along the way they run into a very intriguing twist regarding the plague. Also, we see Torrance, Reed and gang continuing their hunt to find the objects they need …. running into very interesting characters along the way. Can't wait to see what happens next.
I hated how even though Julian and Selena won the games they had to go find the Wand in order to return to their families. I love that they agree and leave. I hate that Torrence makes an agreement with Circe that if she doesn’t return her staff that she has to live with her for eternity. I love that her and Reed have a connection but I hate how much of an ass Reed is.

I don’t know why but I’m having such a great time with this series😂 Is it the best book/series in the entire world? No. Did Selena start to annoy me in this book? Yes. Am I interested in Torrence’s perspective? Not until her last few chapters.
But the storyline is just holding onto my brain & I get excited to read before bed, so it’s gotta be good!
Faerie Wand was amazing! So much stuff happened in this book. During our adventure we visited new and exciting places, met some cool new characters and learned that not all is as it seems. With the way Faerie Wand ended, I absolutely can NOT wait until the next book to see what happens and how will HE explain himself!! Also, I'm really excited to see how things turn out between Torrence and Reed.
I absolutely love this series and this book delivers. It explains so much for both stories and sets the stage perfectly for the next and last book in the series. I cannot wait.
Woah!! What a book! I think this one was the best one yet. I loved everything about it! I can not wait for the next book to see what happens. This was an epic cliffhanger! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS OMG!!!
So, the penultimate book in the series and what a little cracker it is. Full of action and suspense all the way through to an ending you don’t see coming. What will happen in the final book I wonder, cannot wait to find out. Highly recommended.
Surprisingly good! I’m not really sure what to say other than it was better than I expected. I wasn’t sure about multiple things that happened previously in the story but overall I liked this book!
Again, picking up right where the last left off. Julian and Selena are sent off on their quest to find the wand. Julian and Selena seem to be growing closer but something isn’t quite right. This does end with a twist and a cliffhangers.
Ms. Madow continues her world building as Julian and Selena travel to find the wand. The same for Torrence and her group proceed to find their way into the Faerie Underworld. A few characters are thrown in to advance the story so are not as well-developed.
A great addition to the series. The author keeps rachetting up the tension and anxiety as each book progresses. Hopefully the next will be the culmination as I don’t think I can take much more.
I was given a free ARC of this book for my honest opinion.
Honestly considered a DNF with this series as a whole, but I’d already bought the whole thing with an audible credit so I felt compelled to tarry on.
I didn’t realize originally that there were other connected series to jump into and that may have given better context and understanding into the world as a whole, but I won’t be reading those other series unless I’m really desperate for some reading material.
Things I didn’t love about the series as a whole: 1. Toxic friendships 2. Why the hell are we describing the sex life of a 16 year old in detail? 3. Inconsistent world building 4. Trying to do too damn much

Omg I loved this book and am going to count down the days until the last book in this series comes out. I can hardly wait to find out what happens to Selena and Julian. I love the way you leave us waiting on pins & needles Michelle. I love your books.
Action packed. Incredible adventures and trials to get through. Again leaves you with a major cliffhanger. Lots of trickery on this journey to meet their quests but in the end all is not lost
I read ARCs of the other books in this series and also the prequel series! I've really enjoyed all the books, so I was excited to read this book and continue the characters story! I also loved that the author wrote a summary to describe the events of the last book because I normally have to go back and re-read the last few chapters of the last book lol! I really enjoyed the plot of this book and it held my attention and made me want to know what was going to happen next! The plot was developed at a good pace and there was plenty of romance in it and some action and suspense! There was a lot more romance in this book than there have been in other books, which I loved and it did allowed for a few dreamy scenes! The action and suspense added to the plot as well and it kept me desperate to read on! It added a danger element to the plot as well! The characters were again amazing and made this book even better! Selena was the main female and in this book she was on a mission and had to find the faerie wand! I felt like Selena was strong in this book and she did what she had to do! Did she make some mistakes? Yes, but she's also been through a lot and I had to keep reminding myself of how young she was! Torrence was another female character and she was kick-ass in this book and I wish she had been in it longer though because I felt like I wanted to know more about her! Julian was again the love interest of Selena! I liked that Julian was in this book a lot! He was always with Selena and he tried his best to support and help her! Julian also did something at the end of this book, which really surprised me! I can see it having a big impact in the final book! I really hope he did it for Selena's sake! Reed was another male character and he was the love interest of Torrence! I loved Reed in this book! He was protective of Torrence, even though she could look after herself, and it was easy to see that he had feelings for her! I would love a prequel series for Torrence and Reed! This book was mainly written from Selena's point of view but some chapters were written from Torrence's point of view and the last chapter was written from a mystery point of view that I won't tell you lol! I was expecting this book to be written from a couple of different point of views because all the other books have been! I really enjoyed that it was because it allowed for a lot more things to happen in the plot, which helped as both Selena and Torrence were on their own quests and had their own goals! It helped me connect with all the characters as well! I now can't wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it's going to be the final book, which does make me sad, but the ending of this book was left at quite the ending, so I can't wait to see the impact it's going to have in the next book! I'll definitely be reading the next book as soon as it releases! The cover for this book is also absolutely perfect for it! I love how well it suits the other covers in the series and it would definitely draw me to the book! I love that it has the same cover model on it as well! Big thank you to Michelle for an ARC of The Faerie Wand!
I thought I could return home once the Faerie Games were over. I was wrong.
Now, Julian and I must complete the dangerous quest given to us by the Empress of the Otherworld. The Holy Wand is out there. We just need to find it.
No matter where the journey takes us, we'll destroy anything blocking our path. We have to. Otherwise, we'll be dead.
There are no words. I have been curious about what is to come from the moment that I finished The Faerie Mates . As a reader, how can you not but wonder what would happen to Julian and Selena during the quest if they would be able to accomplish their task? I felt that the two of them would face many challenges to get The Holy Wand. I worried the most about the Zombies, and that one of them would get to either Selena or Julian, passing the plaque to one of them. The Faerie Wand is filled even with more action than the last book. In each of the books in the series, as it progresses, there is more action. The Faerie Wand was even harder for me to put down; I wanted to keep reading until I found out what happened with Selena, Julian, Torrence. I’m eager to see if Torrence and Selena will finally reunite; she had a long journey.
Julian.I have a strong feeling that something isn’t right. The way that he suddenly started to distance himself, pushing Selena away from him, there is a reason behind that. Like Selena, I wonder what is going on with him, what he is hiding. Even though he communicates with her, it doesn’t feel as if he does it with emotion. I’m concerned about him; it’s not like him to act distant and not to tell Selena what is going on. I loved that the point of view shifted between Selena and Torrence. If I were asked which of two is my favorite, I don’t think that I would decide. Selena and Torrence has courage, especially with everything that they had to face. I loved that the two of them kept on going, despite all the challenges in their way. I can’t wait until Torrence and Selena is reunited.
I should know there would be a twist at the end. That’s one of my favorites about Michelle Madow books that no matter how many of her books you read, there are still unexpected twists. After such ending, I am eager to pick up The Faerie Plaque and see how it all ends. There is part of me that doesn’t want it to come to an end, but another curious if Selena and her friends will be able to stop the plague. This is the series that you will go back and re-read; I know that I plan to in the future. It’s a series that I recommend to my friends. A must-read. A series that will have you on the edge of your seat from the beginning.

Selena and Julian have survived the Faerie Games - a battle to the death that usually leaves only one champion standing. Since they are soulmates, they were not forced to kill each other, but instead sent on a dangerous quest that no one expects them to fulfill. They must locate a powerful magical wand, known only in myth, and lost to history hundreds of years ago. Their quest will bring them face to face with more dangerous challenges than ever before, but successful completion is the only option. But the more they learn about the wand, the less they want to turn it over to the oppressive rulers of the realm.
Meanwhile, Torrence is on a quest of her own - find 4 powerful mythical objects... hmmmm... different world but similar missions... Trading those objects for passage to the faerie realm is the only way to rescue Selena. Greek mythology plays heavily throughout both realms, as Torrence battles legendary monsters and Selena bargains with the gods and goddesses.
As this is the 4th book in the series, you'll definitely want to read the other 3 novels first. This series itself is the 3rd that takes place in the same world, but you don't need to read the Vampire Wish or Angel Trials novels before you read the Faerie Games. It will give some background on some of the characters, as well as the rules of the world, but since each is a standalone story arc you can read them in any order. I highly recommend ALL of them, and I can't wait to see what's next for the inhabitants of this world.
