My messy secret? I tell myself I "bow to no one" but got on my knees for an insanely attractive silver fox who happens to be the fire chief in our small town. What can I say? I live life on the edge, even if it means having a wild fling with Riley Palmer on such an important occasion as my sister's wedding day. The second he finds out I've been keeping my pregnancy a secret, he hunts me down like my own personal bodyguard, refusing to miss a single step I take. The insanely attractive silver fox creates a pull of deep desire inside me. Our whirlwind passion was supposed to be a one-night stand. Unfortunately, there is nowhere for me to run in this small town, and every time he comes after me, my hormone-filled body wants to slide down his pole. I have to rein in my inner trollop when I see his bod, which constantly reminds me — it’s his job to be hot. He takes notes on my every craving; bringing me baskets of food in his ridiculously brawny arms. The dude actually tells me, "You puke pretty, princess," when I'm overcome with morning sickness and he's holding back my hair. Riley is relentless, almost as if he believes his devotion might keep me from running away. There are a million reasons for me to take my baby and leave this backwater place. But every time I think about making my exit, he gives me a reason to stay.

I think a big issue for me is that the Daddy kink isn’t really my thing and this one leans hard into it (which is totally fine, just not my jam.)
But I had read the preview chapters and kinda liked them, so I bought it.
I will say, she has some 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ scenes that I enjoyed. Especially the epilogue scene. 🥵 And I’m all about a Dom usually but this felt so much like “she’s doing her life wrong so I’m going to ~*fix her*~”
It also came off as kinda low key anti-polyamorous, like our FMC was only polyamorous because she effed up relationships (which… again just because you’re poly doesn’t mean you’re anti-relationship. You’re just not into monogamy.)
I have no idea what views the author holds on the subject, nor am I sure what her actual intent was, but it came off very “I’m poly until someone showed me better” which I didn’t really like that much. 🤷🏼♀️
Daddy on Fire is Faith and Riley's story and it wasn't what I was expecting.
Faith is a complex character with ADHD and a brash, standoffish attitude that at first grated on my nerves. I found it hard to connect or warm up to her. I almost DNF this one because an heroine that pushes the Hero away, runs to other men and swears up and down that she isn't into, looking for or even believes in love is a downer in romance.
Especially since Riley was a dominate sweetheart that must have been a little bit of a masochist for the countless times Faith ran from him, rejected him and straight up denied any real connection to him that was any different than the countless ones she has with other men. He must have liked the pain and humiliation of it a little too much to keep coming back for more, just saying.
In the end, we see some great emotional growth from Faith and Riley was a great support system for her. I guess in this setting I was hoping for a more dominate Hero and Faith was almost always calling the shots and that wasn't what I was looking for in a DD/lg story.
I did end up understanding Faith a little more so her earlier actions are made more palpable but this wasn't my favorite read and probably wont be re-reading.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Captivating read full of action and intrigue, with a surprise and unexpected change to life circumstances
Riley Palmer had been at her sister’s wedding and one thing had led to another and they had a wild fling and had thought no more about him or the night they spent together knowing that they were from different worlds and it had been a onetime ting.
When she discovers that they more in common now and that was the fact that she was pregnant, no one could ever have anticipated that this could happen and she had not come too him and told hm that he was about to be a father and so he would not be too happy about this circumstance.
When he realises that there is something very different going on his response was not what she expected he had been attentive and had brought her into his life, caring for her and helping her deal with the terrible morning sickness as well as attending doctor’s appointments.
He was so attentive he even took note of scents that caused her sickness and foods that made her ill ensuring that no one ate it around her, that the scents were not in the house changing and updating his details as and when necessary, she knew that he would be a wonderful and caring father.
I guarantee that you will enjoy every moment of this wonderful addition to the silver fox series and I guarantee that you will love this book, I guarantee that once you begin reading you will not put it down until you reach the end and discover the outcome.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
DNF'd at about the halfway point. Olivia Fox can do better.
It is sometimes more valuable to know what you don't like to read than to know what you like to read. And the more I read DD/lg romances, the more I get that this is just not a trope for me. I get bored 🤷♀️
So when the book is mostly DD/lg, it doesn't do anything for me. There are a few books I liked where it was less prominent and the writing was impeccable, but that is not the case here.
Excluding the DD/lg trope, there's also not much going on here. This is a very shallow and dull book.
We have Faith, the wild no-commitments girl who says the weirdest things sometimes (I think she's trying to be snarky or funny but accomplishes neither 👀), and Riley, a fire chief dom who desperately wants a relationship with Faith (for some unknown reason).
They meet at a wedding, f--k, Faith avoids Riley, she then finds out she got knocked up, Riley finds out, and then they date and dance around the topic of committing to each other while having some boring seggs. Not a spoiler because this is the most basic description and this is the first 25% of the book so barely the beginning.
And if we have terrible writing with lackluster characters, at least deliver the good promised sm-t 😩 The sm-t here was very overly descriptive and clinical. Lots of anatomy but no chemistry. Weird description but true. Completely removing the DD/lg aspect, the sm-t was still not well written. The smut and dirty talk were not spicing.
I liked Olivia Fox's fantasy monsterf--king books, so I know Fox can do fun and entertaining books. Fox's contemporary books just feel boring.
Random thought but Luna was f--king annoying. Girlie is cute but so annoying.
📖 Mon sale secret ? 📕
This book was ok. My first thoughts on Faith, I didn’t like her. Her attitude towards men and relationships really turned me off, and I especially couldn’t stand how she didn’t tell Riley she was pregnant. Keeping it a secret was no problem for her. When she got mad or didn’t like something she stomped her feet like a child. And as things were going good, they got married and the baby was born, then Faith had the nerve to actually suggest their marriage was one of convenience and he could leave if he wanted out. However, Riley I really enjoyed. He was the mature one between them. As attracted to her as he was, and even though he was excited when he did find out about the baby, he insisted on slowing things down and building a real relationship. He wanted more than just a surface level relationship based around sex, and I respected that so much. He was beyond amazing to her, he took care of her every need and made sure she wanted for nothing. One thing I will say is the dirty talk and steamy scenes were off the charts. It was a lot.
Faith is a keeper of secrets. She is secretly attracted to Riley. Has secret desires, secret reasons for certain behaviors and a secret pregnancy. Riley is the local fire chief and is attracted to Faith, but is not willing to settle for temporary or sharing as he wants Faith for the long term.
At her sister's wedding, Faith agrees to a "wild fling" with Riley - who definitely has other ideas in mind about casual versus committed. Along the way, Riley discovers Faith's secrets and loves her all the more, even as Faith challenges Riley.
Riley promises Faith certain things but fails to keep his promise. Will Faith forgive Riley or will she go back to her former lifestyle? Will Riley be able to be the Daddy Riley needs?
While the book was good, I did feel as if there were gaps in the storyline (no explanation/no conversation about certain things). There are some definite spicy moments between the two as they explore each others boundaries and hidden desires.
All in all another good book by Olivia Fox.

Faith is a Little who is a little bratty. She has ADHD and has never found a Daddy that she could spend more than one night with. She knows that Riley the fire chief is interested in being her Daddy but she has no interest in being his. She knows that he would be a strict Daddy with lots of rules and punishments. Then she runs into him at her sister's wedding and she can't resist spending one night with the hot fireman. That night he made her feel things and want things she never thought she would want. She woke up scared and pushed him away. Over the next few weeks she fought her feelings for Riley but then she learned that their night together had unexpected results.

Faith and Riley’s relationship had me laughing and crying at times.
Faith has struggled with her ADHD and has been the troublesome teenager, young adult. Doesn’t do well in relationships and prefers no commitment. It’s worked for her and wants to keep it that way.
Riley, the fire chief has his eyes set on Faith but he wants exclusivity. Faith has turned him down a few times but he seems to always be around?
At her sister, Clover’s wedding, Faith in after a bit too much of the bubbly. They dance and quickly end up at his place, for a night to remember. Things go great or not so great, depending on which side you’re on?
Fun to read, hot and spicy. Characters from other books make quick appearances. Enjoy!
Daddy on Fire is an age gap romance with Dd/lg, but no age play. After a one night stand, Faith finds herself pregnant and Riley is all in on taking care of Faith, his way. I liked that the story covered Faith's ADHD and how it affects her life and thinking of the future. I also liked how Riley knew what he wanted and didn't hesitate when it came to Faith and the baby. Unfortunately, I couldn't get invested in the story. Faith was too fast going from being insisting on being independent to suddenly wanting a relationship and calling Riley her Daddy. I also could have done without with her friend, Luna, speaking in gothic romance sentences which was over the top.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is an age gap, DDlg, surprise pregnancy romance. Riley and Faith have had a lot of attraction but little action until her sister's wedding. It was a push and pull between them and what they really wanted. It took one slip up and they find they are expecting a child. Faith wasn't one of my favorite characters. Even with her issues she just seemed too bratty, and not in a good DDlg way. Riley was determined then devoted, and knew how to take charge. If their connection seemed more believable in the beginning, the story would have been better for me. Overall not a bad story, just not for me this time. 3.5
Faith is always restless and never settles with one guy. However, things change for her at her sister's wedding when she hooks up with Riley. Riley is a fire chief and wants to be Faith's only man. After their time together she learns that she is pregnant and once Riley learns he is there for her. Will she take a chance and be with him? Can they admit to what they want from each other?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

An enjoyable story, Faith doesn't do commitment, while Riley is looking for more. After a one night stand (in Riley's mind) after a wedding, Faith becomes pregnant and when Riley finds out, he is there to support her and shows Faith how great a relationship with him could be
I haven't read any of the other books in the series, while characters from previous books show up, it can be read easily as a standalone, I will be checking out the earlier books.

This took me DAYS to finish—and that doesn’t happen for when with the book is only 185 pages. I truly tried to enjoy this book but I didn’t. When it comes to DDLG story lines or basic Daddy Dom vibes this book didn’t cut it for me at all. Spice wasn’t great, the author seemed to focus most of her spicy parts around (🍆👄) if you get what I’m laying down here. Love a good Oral Story as much as the next person but I needed so much more…when it comes to DDLG storytelling this read just wasn’t cutting it.
Great writing and captivating storyline with strong characters that know what they want and need; theyre is some drama and very nicedoses of rom and steam. Very good descriptions ( I often felt like I was there right along Faith and Riley) and great descriptions.
Loved it and recommending it :)

Faith is a successful entrepreneur, but still suffers from anxiety and ADHD. She fears no man will be able to accept her challenges, so she doesn't let herself get close to any man. Then she meets Riley.
I enjoyed this book. Riley won't let Faith focus on her shortcomings. He supports her and slowly builds their relationship, letting her know that he's with her for the long haul and that he won't let her down.

This one was just ok, there were several times that it didn't make sense what was going on. It felt like part of the story was missing. It had a couple of good moments but overall it was lacking.
Riley is a silver fox fire chief and is intent on making Faith his. Faith is a scatter-brained soap maker who doesn’t think she is a “one -man” woman. When the two hook up after her sisters wedding Riley is intent on making Faith his and their little “oops” provides the perfect chance for him to show her that he can be her one and only “Daddy”! This was a spicy Daddy Dom romance with a surprise pregnancy. I enjoyed how Riley was so loving and accepting of Faith’s differences and how he showed her that he was also not perfect and how he coped with his struggles.
