Philanthropist, psychic, and amateur private detective Mitzy Moon is now engaged to Sheriff Erick Harper who has just been reelected. Mitzy is trusting Ghost-ma, the spirit of her deceased grandmother who Mitzy can communicate with, to make most of the decisions, leaving Mitzy plenty of time for sleuthing. Erick appreciates her help, but worries about how it looks for a "civilian" to be so involved in his cases.
In spite of his reservations, Mitzy helps with his latest case in an usual way. Tanya Tucker, the owner of a dry cleaner who was a former lawyer, offered her legal expertise to a female wrestling team. To get information that Erick can't through official questioning, Mitzy goes undercover as a wrestler! I will admit I wasn't sure about this, but I should have trusted the author. These scenes were both funny and touching as Mitzy got to know the other wrestlers. The clues she is able to gather and put together helps solve the case and gives the book a satisfying ending.
This novella is a prequel to the upcoming Harper and Moon Investigations series and is a bridge between this new spin-off and the original Mitzy Moon Mysteries. At the end of this novella, Mitzy has a daydream about a day in her future life with Erick after they're married, but then she wonders if it's actually a premonition. This could be a clue to the direction the new series will be taking, and I can't wait to find out!

Love this new series so far with our favorite characters, Mitzy Moon soon to be married to Sheriff Erick Harper, Ghost-Gran and of course Pyewacket Mitzy's familiar who always seems to help at the right time. Erick has accepted Mitzy's paranormal abilities including accepting that she sees and can talk to ghosts like Ghost-Gran. This book had me laughing so hard! When Mitzy finds Tanya Tucker the owner of the town dry cleaner dead in the shop, it is up to Mitzy with a little help from her crew, Gran, Pye and of course Sheriff Erick, although he has to help her under the table, since he won re-election against his deputy and she is not happy with anything there at all. When Mitzy finds Tanya was in a woman's wrestling group she decides to go under cover to find out if any of Tanya's wrestling teammates know anything. Mitzy has to learn some wrestling moves quickly so she survives and can figure out who killed Tanya. With so many twists and turns, you have an idea but the clues just don't add up there. With lots of laughs along the way, Mitzy dives in head first to figure out what happened. Can she? Or will she be next? I love this series and can't wait to see more of the Harper and Moon Investigations! I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

I really enjoyed this book. It is apparently a prequel to a new series but to be honest it just seemed like another great Mitzy Moon adventure, with all the love able characters present. I really like how Pyewacket, the cat, gets involved with the mystery and brings clues to Mitzy, although all the characters are great fun. I especially love the way the author comes up with new and original situations for Mitzy to go under cover, in this case as a wrestler with cool names. The mystery was interesting, with plenty of suspects to keep you guessing and for Mitzy to use her powers. Even learn a new lesson or two. It will be interesting to see what direction the author takes the spin off series in but one thing for sure it will be a lot of fun and I will be along for the ride.

I have read all of the Mitzy Moon Mysteries and was bummed to hear that there wouldn’t be any more…until I found out that Mitzy’s adventures would continue with her future husband, Erich, as Harper & Moon Investigators! I was happy to read this prequel.
Mitzy is at her usual tricks. She comes across a murder (at least she didn’t find the body this time) of an old friend of her ghostly grandmother. Of course, she’s planning on helping with the investigation as she always does. Her fiancé has accepted the fact that she’s going to help on investigations, but the deputy, Paulsen, doesn’t like Mitzy or her “nosiness.”
Mitzy goes undercover as a wrestler which is fun and funny. She learns a lot through her psychic powers, and Erich’s team is able to get enough evidence to bring all the pieces of the puzzle together. They make a great team!
I love these stories and feel like I know the characters of Pin Cherry Harbor well. Along with Mitzy and Erich, each character has their own quirkiness. She even has a psychic caracal that she inherited from her grandma. He often offers clues that help the investigations along once she can figure out what the clues mean.
I’m looking forward to reading the first book in the Harper & Moon series!

She's Back!
The Mitzy Moon series is one of my favorites. I was sad when it came to an end. I am so happy to see that Mitzy is back and this series has her and Erick paired. I love Mitzy and Erick working together. I am so looking forward to more of them.
In this book, Mitzy goes undercover as a female wrestler. That was unexpected and fun. The serious issue of partner abuse is explored in this story. I am a survivor and my opinion is that Ms. Silvertale handled this very well. I also liked the opening of this book. It can be difficult to come up with interesting ways of bringing new readers up to speed while keeping things interesting for regular readers. I have a tendency to skim through a rehashing of things I know about a series. This opening, though, I read completely. The author is very practiced in balancing the backstory so that it meets the needs of both types of readers. While I would suggest you read The Misty Moon Series, (it is excellent entertainment), it is not necessary to enjoy this book or to be ready for this series. I can't wait for the next book!

Well, except for the fact that Mitzy has a knack for stumbling across dead bodies. This time, it's the local dry cleaner. But why would someone possibly have wanted to kill her? Once again, Mitzi Moon is on the case. She's determined to help Sheriff Harper solve this mystery and bring the killer to justice.
This book was the prequel to a new series starring both Mitzi Moon and Sheriff Harper. It seems to be setting the stage for what is to come. It includes the best aspects of the original series, with hints of the new one. And without giving away any hints, I can say that I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. If you've enjoyed any of the books in the original Mitzi Moon series, you'll definitely enjoy this one.

Mitzy Moon has done it again and this time it involves ladies wrestling and a Cherry Dahling sleeper hold choke move. Such a fun series and it just keeps getting better and better. Mitzy is in the midst of wedding plans or rather her spirit of honor grandma is coordinating this event. Sheriff too hot to handle Harper aka Mitzy's fiancé will once again need a little assistance from Mitzy's mood ring and special talents, and I am not talking about the way she can eat a cheeseburger and fries in 10 minutes flat at her grandpa's diner. A quick read because you find yourself laughing with each page turn between the sassy sleuth, the caracal who can convey a though with a simple MEOW -copy that, and a host of other characters. A cozy series worth reading from start to finish. This book is a stand-alone, but you really should check out when it all started and how a girl with a lot of sass and some short white hair goes from being down on her luck to developing latent psychic skills and being heir to a fortune.

Prequel to a Series
Mitzy Moon has inherited from a bookstore, a strange building, and a fortune from her grandmother. Oh, and a closet full of high-fashion clothing. And the ghost of her grandmother loves to tell her how to live her life. Grams lives with her as does a wildcat that seems to have a way with clues to mysteries. In this one, a beloved lawyer who helps endangered women with her skills is killed and Mitzy goes undercover (without much covering) as a female wrestler in order to help find the killer.
There were parts of this that I loved, and parts that had me scratching my head in confusion. If this is supposed to be the prequel to a series, there sure does seem to have been a ton of stuff going on before hand. I found the beginning rather confusing, but by the end, I was enjoying the read. But it took me almost a hundred pages to get there.
Still, not a bad story and it has a mostly satisfying ending (while setting up for the next book). Recommended.

This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. This is a prequel story to the extended series of Mitzi moon. The original series is Missy‘s Journey from a down and out barista in Arizona to inheriting her grandmothers fortune and bookstore And the build of her relationship with her fiancé. In the continuing new series Mitsy and Eric are engaged and moving on with lives. Pretty much still the same premise. Mitsy and her psychic abilities and other powers are still growing as she learns more and more. Her sheer fiancé Investigates his cases and Mitsy helps on occasion in his cases or find other cases to get involved in. Magic and mayhem ensues but she always figures it out in the end. Check it out

This is the prequel for Trixie Silvertale's upcoming new series, Harper and Moon Investigations. It was an excellent story which I enjoyed very much. It was well-written and the characters, both the regular cast and the new ones we meet here, were wonderful. I was hooked from start to finish and had fun solving the mystery. I love Mitzy Moon and am looking forward to the next book while I highly recommend this one.

Ropes and Last Hopes by Trixie Silvertale
A fast paced fun mystery, with likable characters, engaging dialog and a paranormal who-done-it theme.With a splash of humor, a lovable cat and Ghost-ma (some of my favorites), I was hooked from the first page.
I truly enjoyed Ropes and Last Hopes: Paranormal Cozy Mystery Prequel. I highly recommend to those who enjoy cozy/mystery with paranormal theme. I look forward to more books from Trixie Silvertale

Finally we are back on track and this is the prequel to the new series taking place once again in Pin Cherry Harbour where we get to meet all our old favourite cast of characters and enjoy seeing Mitzy solve more of the mystery cases which seem to always turn up when she is around. As she herself admits she is a magnet for a corpse. I really enjoyed this new case and am loving that Mitzy is growing so powerful in her clairvoyant powers as it seems Pyewacket also is. I love that he always gives Mitzy a helping paw by turning up with the most amazing and appropriate clues to solve the mystery. I am really looking forward to our first book in the Harper and Moon Investigations.

What a fantastic set up for the Harper and Moon Investigations series! The story and accompanying mystery are quick-paced and fun. The maturing relationships Mitzy has with her loved ones are gratifying.
All the usual suspects are present and as delightful and funny as ever.
It has been so much fun to see Mitzy grow over the length of the Mitzy Moon mystery series, and in Ropes and Last Hopes we get to join her as she becomes fully engaged as an equal partner with her fiancé, Erick.
I am ridiculously excited to see where this new series will take all of my favorite Pin Cherry Harbor residents!

Wrestling with a little more than a dilemma

Tanya runs the cleaners, Grams' favourite place to take her couture for specialist care, and has her fingers in a heap of extra curricular jobs acting as the lawyer for the women's refuge and women's wrestling team along with helping multiple women who've fallen on hard times or been released from jail and want to turn life around.
Who could've killed such a phenomenal woman, leaving her wife and 2 children bereft, and why?
Under cover, Mitzy is a delight as usual!!

I was hoping this book would explain the necessity of the formation of Harper and Moon Investigations, since it's supposed to be the bridge between the two series. Unfortunately, if it did, I must have sleep read through that chapter. I hate the way marriages change the dynamic of a series, so I respect Ms. Silvertale for switching from Mitzy Moon Mysteries to Harper and Moon Investigations. I'm just on the fence about whether I'm going to like the changes that are to come. I'd rather her live with Ghostma than a husband, but not my series—not my characters. I'll just have to trust the author to make it work.

This well written cozey para mystery with murder and mayhem is just what a heavy day needs to lighten it up. The characters are vibrant and colorful as well as a little quirky but as you know this wouldn't be a cozey mystery without a deadly schemer hidden in plain sight so let's enjoy the mane characters and join in on the fun of going undercover to find clues to figuring out what happened and who the bad guy is this is a short but exciting read you won't want to miss. Acquire " Ropes and Last Hopes " today so you yourself can enjoy it as much as I have. Kat

A must read
I loved this new addition to the Misty Moon series! As usual, she had me smiling from the start. Her conversations with Ghosts- ma always crack me up. I only wish that I had some of her psychic abilities.
I' m glad Sheriff too-hot-handle is finally giving Mitzy room to work her magic. There were so many possibilities of who could be the murderer. Just when I thought I had things figured out Misty proved me wrong.
I can't wait to see what happens when Harper Moon Investigations gets their first case. They work so well together!

When I heard that this was going to be the last in the series I was a bit sad to see it end but to my surprise there was a new series in the works. I loved this book as always I just wish it was longer. This is the prequel to the new series we’re Mitzy and Sheriff Harper start there new lives as detectives. In this one Mitzy goes undercover to discover who killed Tanya. Mitzy pretends to be a female wrestler to get to the bottom of the case. Between her, pyewacket and Sheriff Harper they discover the identity of the killer and wrap another case. Can’t wait to see how the new series goes.

Mitzy Moon is a psychic and amateur private detective and is engaged to Sheriff Erick Harper in the town of Pin Cherry Harbor. Mitzy can communicate with her deceased grandmother “Ghost-ma”. Tanya Tucker the owner of the local dry cleaners is found dead. Mitzy, Ghost-ma and Erick get together to find out who murdered Tanya. Mitzy goes undercover as a wrestler to find information from the wrestling community about Tanya’s death. Pyewacket is Mitzy’s cat. I really loved reading this marvelous cozy mystery novel. I received this free e-book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Surprisingly, she fits right in gathering up clues for who committed the murder. She manages to stay in the shadows of the investigation and avoids Officer Paulsen! Imagine that! In true Harper/Moon investigating, no one gets away.

This is a fantastic prequel to a great new crossover series. One of my all time favorite Cozy series is The Mitzy Moon Mysteries by this author. I thought I would be quite sad when it came to an end but I was wrong. This new series is the natural progression for those great characters.
Full of sass, touches of the paranormal, thrilling murders and lots of laughs. I can't wait for the first book to be released!

You can always rely on a great read
Super sleuthing, and some great teamwork in this installment. It began a little slow but that's of great benefit to new readers catching up on a little backstory. I always love the Silas scenes and the intelligent working out. Flawless. I give my opinion as a fellow writer who not only reads but always has an eye open for any clangers. You won't find any! Can't wait for the new union to begin!

Fantastic read, hits topics that are sensitive without crossing lines that would cause triggers with a sensitive audience. Really looking forward to this next stage in Harper and Moons romance! Is she going to take his name? In a small town without much technology I wonder how progressive they are with old fashioned values. I liked the way this current book handled approaching non traditional backgrounds. It was done with grace and respect. I like diversity.

This was a prequel to the new series that spins off of the Mitzy Moon series. Mitzy goes to drop off her dry cleaning and finds out the dry cleaner was murdered.. Mitzy goes undercover as one of her fun characters with costume design by Grams. In the end, between Mitzy, Sheriff too hot to handle And Mr cuddlekins the murder was solved. Can’t wait for this new series. I love Pin Cherry and all the fabulous characters who live there.

Whew, I thought the last of the Mitzy Moon stories was written, but “Thankfully” it is rolling into a new series. Hurray!!! Love Pin Cherry Harbor and its residents. The characters a like old friends, and I am thrilled to read more stories involving Grand-mama and Pye. This book was funny and as delightful as all the other books written by Trixie Silvertale. You will fall in love with the town and the citizens. This book is a must read.

Glad to see Mitzy and Erick's story continue. When her dry cleaner is found murdered, Mitzy will do everything she can to find the killer. The dry cleaner is also a lawyer and champions many causes. One of them is women wrestlers and Mitzy goes undercover to find information. She and Erick are sure the women have nothing to do with the murder, but it has to be someone connected to the women. Can she uncover the murderer?

Light and Fun Paranormal Cozy Mystery
These days my mind can’t handle anything too deep or dark. This book fit the bill perfectly.
Ropes and Last Hopes leads you through an action packed cozy mystery, along with a hefty back story that could have been a story of its own. The pace had a “spring in its step” and the characters were as airy as the lead character’s ghostly grandmother.
Well constructed and optimistic, it’s the perfect cozy read.

A wonderful series introduction!
What a touching story! Mitzy and Erick find themselves in a case with parallel connections for Mitzy. So many of the characters have traumatic pasts to navigate, which the author writes with such sensitivity, so their second-chance hopes are particularly poignant. There's less of the trademark Mitzy Moon humor but emotional moments abound; I'm glad I found this while I await my next Harper and Moon Investigations tale!
