Lightning⚡⚡ Striking Again
A wealthy immigrant family from India has it all, their grandfather was the owner and developer of Allmart, a department store chain.
Maybe the wealth has come too fast. The children lead privileged lives but one of them, Aadi, has mental problems and is using drugs. He has an infatuation with his own sister, Zara💃💋. Another young man Dev🐺🍆🌋, the son of an uncle, has been taken into the family. His mother, a white American woman died when He was born, so he's half Indian.
Dev🐺🍆🌋 and Zara💃💋 love💕 each other and Aadi loses his mind over it, finally cracking and kidnapping Zara💃💋 in the middle of a thunderstorm and beating Dev🐺🍆🌋. Before they even get off the estate, lightning⚡ hits the car and Zara💃💋 and Aadi are trapped inside.
Dev🐺🍆🌋 , trying to catch them in another car, can only rescue Zara💃💋 before the car explodes in flames 🔥. Aadi dies.
Zara💃💋, once so in love with Dev🐺🍆🌋, blames him now for her brother Aadi's death. Their love💔 is over. She hates him now, however irrational her thinking is.
Ten years later.....
Dev🐺🍆🌋 owns and operates a bar catering to silicon valley type computer geeks. For some reason, Zara💃💋, comes to the bar to see him, maybe so they both can have closure?
Her brother's death definitely changed her and not in a good way. Dev🐺🍆🌋 will always be sorry he couldn't save them both, but he doesn't blame himself for Aadi's fiery death.
Zara💃💋 needs Dev's help with the board of Allmart. That's her excuse for seeing him again. The lust bubbles to the surface between them, but time⏳ has definitely changed them both. The innocence is long gone.

This is a very well written book and definitely worth reading if you like more intense adult romances. There are some elements of a mystery in the book.

Let me start by saying that I enjoy Aarti V Raman's writing style and thoroughly loved reading Kingdom Come. So when I heard of her latest release and that too first in a new series, I knew I had to grab it.
Covers play an important role in my decision of reading a particular book first and so I was a bit disappointed by the cover of this book. In my humble opinion, it doesn't do justice to the engrossing and well done story inside one bit.
The blurb is interesting and will definitely intrigue readers to stop and pick this book up to read. While the blurb is written in alternating first person POV, the book is in third person.
I enjoyed the overall experience of reading Still Not Over You. The narrative is fluid, engaging and realistic enough with imperfect characters trying to make the best of situations. The world building and character development is the highlight of this book.
The emotional balance is perfectly done with just the right amount of angst, romance, lust, familial loyalty and responsibility and the justification imparted for each sacrificial act of the protagonists.
Even if you don't agree with the protagonists' actions, you will feel connected with them which is admirable in itself. I didn't care for Zara one bit but still rooted for a HEA for her!
So yeah Aarti, kudos to you!

Aarti V Raman once again weaves a most sizzling romance which takes the reader from sad yearning to sweet anticipation to happily ever after at Sycamore Drive. Dev and Zara, childhood sweethearts separated by tragic turn of events, unite again to resolve a family-business crisis.
The language is fluid and flawless. The other two Geeks of Caltech Shiv and Kit make an appearance in the story and I look forward to read their stories too. A breezy read for a rainy afternoon, recommended for all romance lovers.

A feel-good second chances romance that made me sigh and smile and root for Dev (I totally adore this geek) and Zara (I don't think she deserves Dev, but what do I know?)

This is the second book I have read by this author, and this one was just as much of an addictive page-turner as her earlier one.
Still Not Over You is the story of Dev & Zara, childhood sweethearts, who were separated due to a tragic event, but are now forced to work together to salvage the family business.
Now before I even say anything, you should know this - I simply adore second chance romances, it's one of my absolute favorite tropes to read in romances. Which is why even going in I knew this story would be a good fit for me. That being said, not every second chance romance is executed as well as this one.
In this book, the narrative hooks you from the very beginning, and doesn't let go till the very last page is turned. From compelling characters to a strong plot to just the right amount of romantic angst, this one has it all.
Which is why I'd highly recommend it to fans of this genre. If you love to read a sensual, yet heartwarming romance, this is one book, and one author, you absolutely must check out!

With just her words, Aarti. V. Raman beautifully manages to make one feel the warmth of Sycamore Drive, the house that Dev and Zara have grown up in, and the cold of Zara’s house, where she lives all alone with memories of a non-existent marriage, perfectly well. I cannot, absolutely cannot, put it down in words how just the mention of the family home makes me feel. It’s almost like I can see it.
The characters are all great too, but in the end I thought I knew Zara a little more than Dev, and I wanted to have known more of him.
This one’s well-paced with good vocabulary and structure too. In all, this one has all the ingredients of a story that is going to stay with its readers.

Dev and Zara have been in love since they were teenagers. They planned to marry and live happily ever after, but life got in their way. Zara brother dies in a car crash with her in the car. When she is in the hospital Zara is filled with guilt and remorse that she sends Dev away from her and the family. It is not until ten years later, when Zara goes to ask for Dev's help. The story was good and a fast read.

This one's got it all: sizzling chemistry, a hero to die for (Can I have my own Dev, please?), a spunky heroine who's strong yet vulnerable, a glimpse of Indian family dynamics, colossal emotional depth, and neither too much nor too little drama. I'm head over heels in love with Dev, and I may have dashed away a tear or two throughout the book. Now, on to Book 2!

A strong story with great leads and enough passion to burn the pages....What more can you ask for? I enjoyed the book and found myself more than a little invested in this love story. A must read for romance fans.

Very good story. The love they shared was so powerful. This story pulls you right in.
But it had me in tears when she got all the family together to tell what happened that sad night of the wreck. Loved the ending.

Loved this book!
I think I am in love with Dev. Such a strong yet gentle character. Each character was well layered and beautifully portrayed. So was the story, the beginning, the secrets, the chemistry. Very well written book, already onto the next in the series.

It's a decently written rom com without a hint of realism wrt the purported Caltech connection. Definitely a stand alone story retrofitted to fit a Big Bang Theory motif. Whatever!

July 17, 2018So confused by the opening prologue, with constantly shifting point of view, and no real sense of who the two characters were who were making out like crazy in some unspecified outdoor setting. Then in the next chapter, we get an info dump of character info about a group of people whom I wasn't sure were in any way related to those in the previous scene. Ah, not worth my time to keep reading, alas.
