Nova
I’m not even sure how I ended up working as a nanny for a biker and his wife.
That’s not true.
I knew.
It all started when we found out about my mother’s years-long affair, and the fact that my father was not who we thought. The minute the DNA results came back, my father’s side of the family cut me off and left me destitute like it was my fault my mother was a cheating liar. That meant, I needed to earn money for my next semester.
I didn’t realize it also meant being immersed in a whole new world, with a different type of man than I’d ever been around. I knew he was bad for me – not just bad – the worst. He would be the worst kind of man for me and not just because he was a biker.
As my mom said when she was found out – “The heart wants what the heart wants.” I should have remembered how sad she sounded when she said that.

Breakneck
The sweet little honey Kip hired to watch his kid caught my attention immediately. I could smell the innocence on her and all it did was paint a target on her I couldn’t ignore.
I’d have her, own her, make her my one and only. She’d just have to come to terms with the fact that I’d never be hers in return. She could have the parts I was willing to give her, but not the whole. I should feel bad about that. That’s what I’ve been told anyway.
I don’t.
I live the way I want. Always have. Not about to change for anyone. Not. Even. Her.
Someone should have warned me that her innocence didn’t mean she wasn’t full of fire and brimstone. My little angel turned she-demon and it changed everything.

At bath time she should have used bleach to disinfect him and demanded a complete exam for all kinds of sexually transmitted diseases.
Zero only knows how to fuck whores, where he doesn't have to try hard for anything and just uses them as if they were inflatable dolls. He was horrible to Zeroine and didn't know what to do with a woman who wasn't clubwhore.
Zeroine's first time with Zero was horrible and embarrassing.
I thought she was going to show backbone like the heroine in the previous book, but she turned out to be pathetic.
Zero is a separate episode, a being that is centered on his pleasure and how to satisfy himself.

“Don’t make her fall for you and then break her heart. She’s the best damn thing that’s happened to Knox, and honest to fuck, don’t know what I’d do without her.”

Kip laughed. “Don’t think I’ve ever seen you date anyone unless you call taking a couple whores to your bedroom for the night a date. Even then, I can’t vouch that you’re not careless with them in other ways.”

“Pregnancy isn’t all you need to worry about. You know you can get shit from eating pussy, right?”

“It is a nice night, but I don’t let any bitches ride behind me.”

Fuck! I seriously got stood the fuck up by my club brother’s virgin nanny because I told her bitches don’t ride on my bike. What the fuck was I thinking?

As I watched him go, movement caught my attention from the corner of my eye, and I turned to see a man thrusting wildly into a woman. She was naked, aside from the tube top that was pushed up above her breasts so that they swung freely as his thrusts forced her body into motion. She was up on all fours on the couch taking him from behind and looked like she was having a great time of it.

I couldn’t see the man’s face because he was too busy kissing another woman, who was sitting on the back of the couch, while his fingers worked inside her. He was literally pleasing two women at once, out in the open, for anyone and everyone to see.

Two women seemed to be Breakneck’s thing, and now I knew that he could very cleverly satisfy them both without much effort on his part. It made me wonder why he had asked me out at all. That wasn’t something I would ever go for.

If she couldn’t get on board with what I needed to do to relieve stress, then she didn’t have to know about what went on when she wasn’t around. It was the perfect solution, so everyone could be happy.

“So, you’re telling me that Kip’s new babysitter was living with a serial killer who liked to fuck the corpses of his victims that he kept in the basement?”

“Who brought the judgmental prude to the clubhouse?” She asked Breakneck, and to my complete and total humiliation, he laughed along with her. “Don’t worry about it, babe. She won’t be around long.”

It was easy for people to throw you away like you were last week’s garbage, a lesson that had been thrust on me not too long ago. I was the garbage thrown out of my family. Both sides of it – the real one and the fake.

“Pussy. You could be my second pussy, Mary. Need one riding my cock and another one riding Connie’s face.”

Or, if you prefer you could eat pussy while I fuck you from behind.”

Me. I was that child, the product of a whore and a disloyal friend. The thought made me glare up at Breakneck and dismiss the sensual way he attempted to seduce me.

“Good! Because I won’t tolerate that shit. From here on out, you’re mine until we decide to part ways. No one else touches what’s mine.” “Does that go both ways?” “Don’t ask questions you don’t want the answers to, Little Mary.”

“No.” “What?” He seemed stunned stupid by that one word. “I said, ‘No’. I told you I won’t be my mother.”

“If you are with other people, then that makes me just another one of your whores. The only difference is that you don’t have to share me with your club brothers. I won’t be anyone’s whore. Not ever.”

I’d have to talk to Kip about keeping her away from the clubhouse and making sure I had a head’s up about when she needed to stop by for his kid. What she didn’t know wouldn’t hurt her and it would help to keep me satisfied.

Fuck. It was the day that she’d seen me with Dee and Connie in the common room and then again with Connie being carried out of my room naked later that same day.

“I like the way you worship me, sweetness, but this isn’t about me.” “Why not? I thought sex was supposed to be about both people.”

He chuckled lightly in response, making me feel stupid. “I rarely even have sex when it’s just two people.”

Unfortunately, I had dried up after the initial pain and being lost to my thoughts, rather than feeling some exquisite pleasure that I thought was supposed to happen.

Apparently, the blissful sex I’d seen so often on the screen was just a big lie told to women to get them to have sex with men.

Sex was not good. Then again, I’d seen Breakneck having sex with other women and it had been far different from this.

After a minute, he rolled off me and threw his arm over his face to keep the light out of his eyes, or maybe to keep from having to look at me. Who knew? I certainly didn’t. None of what just happened between us had even come close to what I thought my first time would be like.

“Catch a nap?” I questioned, not believing that the man would take my virginity and within minutes be up and out the door – his door. God, was this his way of giving me a dignified exit from the room?

Breakneck walked out without a backward glance my way, leaving me behind with far too many questions and a feeling of inadequacy and utter failure.

That feeling lit a fire under my butt and I quickly made my way to the bar area of the clubhouse to go get a drink and some pain relievers from someone, since Breakneck seemed to be in no hurry to tend to my needs.

What I saw when I got to the end of the hall devastated me. Breakneck stood there, still shirtless, bent over the back of a chair that a familiar blonde woman sat in. His arms were locked around her front in a possessive hug as he leaned in and placed a kiss on her neck.

Scout, the woman who I thought had formed a sort of friendship with me, cocked her head to the side and smiled up at him brightly before he took her hand, helped her out of her chair, and walked her hand-in-hand down the opposite hall the same way he had guided me to his room just a little while ago.

Unfortunately, Connie wasn’t done spouting her bullshit at me, and worse, her dramatics were drawing the attention of other people, too. “Maybe it’s time you go crawling home to mommy and daddy now. This isn’t your scene, little princess. These are real men with needs you can’t meet.”

Connie ran for me, and before anyone in the room – including me – could react, her fist made contact with my face.

Maybe, he would have cared more about me then than to leave me without so much as a glance backward only to wrap his arms around another woman less than twenty minutes later and offer her the comfort he should have given me after taking my virginity.

As if that vanilla-as-fuck sex was a workout. It was a little bit of one for me, but Nova had just laid there, unsure of what to do, for most of our session. Things would change.

“What the fuck is going on between you two? I thought you were chasing after Nova?” “Scout is my friend.” “Who you fuck regularly. Not everything skips past me just because I have a lot on my plate, asshole.”

I had cum inside her. It just now hit me that using a condom had never even entered my mind when it came to Nova.

The fact that you left me behind without a care while giving her more sweetness than you afforded me after taking my virginity was enough for me. Nothing else had to happen to break my damn heart and make me ache in other places beyond where you broke me physically.”

After the awful sex, and being left without a thought, I wondered if anything Breakneck had to say would matter. There was no way of knowing, so I tried to put it out of my mind until I had to deal with it – and him – later.

The minute I stepped out of church, and grinned at Scout, she knew what her fate was and practically tackled me as she jumped into my arms to celebrate. Scout’s lips met my own before I pushed her away and set her down on her feet.

Do you know I sat here debating whether or not I was supposed to go back to Kip’s room or if you had gone to satisfy yourself with someone else instead, since it was so awful. You didn’t even give me a chance to talk to you about the fact that you didn’t use any protection.

“That’s fine, but what about diseases? I know for a fact you were with at least two women only a week ago.”

“Condoms aren’t one hundred percent, Breakneck. When was the last time you were tested?”

“Sorry, I didn’t realize.” It wasn’t that I didn’t realize what he might want, but the fact that all those other female products meant it wasn’t anything special anyway. He was already used to showering with whores and I was feeling a bit self-conscious.

Everything down there still hurt, and Breakneck pushing his cock in the way he did, didn’t make it feel any better. I winced but it went unnoticed as Breakneck was too busy watching where he entered me. I wanted to yell at him, tell him that it didn’t feel good, or something. The problem was, If I did that, he wouldn’t touch me again. He’d go grab two of his whores and forget about me.

Unfortunately, he came attached to the man who seemed to be clueless about what my body was telling him. I hadn’t been ready for sex – again.

I winced again as he slammed into me a little harder and nearly lost his footing.

“Shit. Why didn’t you say something?” “You really didn’t give me a chance,” I muttered as I used the towel to dry off as quickly as possible.

My kinks weren’t even that bad. Tame compared to most, but I needed them. Needed to feel the rush of fucking hard, dirty, and sometimes with a little pain mixed in for the women I was pleasuring.

We were still basically living together, and we had sex regularly, but truth be told, it was boring and stale. We had only ever done it in one position other than missionary, and that was the horrible shower incident that ended up on video.

The whole time we’d been living together, he never got rid of them. He never removed a single bottle, and yet, he’d made sure to pack mine up for me before he booted me out the door.

Breakneck was standing at the end of the bed, with his knees bent just far enough that he could reach to thrust his cock inside some woman’s pussy while he spanked her with a wad of leather straps that were… Oh God! They were attached to something that was stuck in her ass.

That wasn’t even the worst of what I was seeing. The same woman also had one of those gag things strapped around her head, only it wasn’t a normal one because it also had a bunch of those same leather strips hanging off of it, though much shorter, and she was wagging her head back and forth while using the straps to spank another woman’s pussy.

While my boyfriend was fucking a woman whose identity I couldn’t make out just yet, there was no doubt that Mitzi was the one having her pussy spanked.

I nutted when I was with Nova, but it wasn’t the same. Hell, I fucking loved that girl, but the sex was just boring. Yeah, it got me off, but only just and without all the extra thrill I usually felt.

“The last thing she needed was to see her new boyfriend, who had just thrown her out after living together for a month, looking fucking thrilled to death about the kinky threesome, or I guess foursome if she did notice Trench, that he was participating in.”

“No, Breakneck. You let her go. You drove her away from here today. You knew the threat might have been lessened for the rest of the club, especially our outliers, but she was still very much a target and instead of keeping her here at the clubhouse where she would be safe until we could locate the VOMC, you decided to make you dick a priority. Sent her packing with nothing more than a wet-behind-the-ears prospect to guard her.

“Breakneck really did send me away so he could fuck the club whores in ways he never even attempted with me.”

“The crazy thing was that you were never enough for me. Sex with you was awful.” “Oh shit!” I heard someone say, though I couldn’t pinpoint who it was.

“Go back to enjoying your whores, your club brothers, and whatever it is you all get up to together. It seems like they’re the only ones you can fuck normally. I’ll find someone who can treat me better and won’t be afraid to fuck me like they might break me. Just me though, because I’ll be good enough for them and they’ll want to be truly in it with me and not phoning in a subpar performance while dreaming of really giving there all to someone who supposedly doesn’t matter to them.”

He didn’t get it. His stupid letter said he’d never do that again, yet the last time I’d seen him he had Scout hanging all over him and he yelled at me for saying something bad about her. Honestly, while what I said had been mean, it had also been the truth, so I didn’t deserve his anger. Breakneck didn’t even realized he’d already proven to me that he would absolutely do it again.

“I’m scrubbing you clean before we go any further.” My gut clenched tight at her proclamation. “I’m making sure that every inch of your body is cleansed from the whores you preferred to fuck over me.”

“I’m washing away their stink. I’m washing away all the places they touched. Kissed. Sucked. Licked. Every single place their bodies have touched yours, and you have used to touch them. I’m scrubbing it all away.”

“You gave me soft, slow, and awkward. You left me there afterward for me to find you hugging and kissing on some other woman - no matter how innocent that supposedly was. You were far more loving, free, and real with her than you’d been while taking my virginity.”

You’re going to wash away every expectation I had, every desire, every dream that didn’t come true. You’re going to wash away all the heartache of having to see you touch other women in ways you didn’t dare touch me. The ways I watched, wishing it was my body your fingers dug into, my ass that you slapped, my pussy that you assaulted so vigorously. You’re going to make me forget ever wishing for what you gave to other women and denied me.” FUCK. MY. LIFE.

“I thought I could do this,” she admitted quietly before her eyes darted around the room again. “I don’t think I can. I don’t think I can be here where you’ve been with all of them. I look at your bed, where you took my virginity, and I hate it. I don’t want to remember the way you were with me or be stuck imagining the different ways you were with them in here. It all feels so wrong.”

I love a good cheating book, bonus if it’s an MC book. Give me all the drama. If that is what you are looking for, this is not it. When I go into an MC, there is an expectation that the characters will be morally gray to black. There should be a mix of, yes he does bad things but he has a heart and is capable of caring about the ppl in his found family. This H is not that. He had ZERO redeemable qualities. It was a big turn off that he treated the club girls like they were less that human. There was so much gratuitous sex that it took away from what could have been a good story. The push was for him to appear to be this total manwhore, but it missed the mark, imo. The h was brain dead, in so many ways. I’m not talking in a naive, shy virgin kind of way. She was literally spineless and stupid. My eyes almost rolled out of my head several times. Ppl will mention the non existent grovel. In MC books, I don’t expect long, drawn out grovels. It just doesn’t fit in the MC world, imo but there should be some redemption for the H. There was none here. I had high hopes but alas, this was a letdown.

Disorganized hot mess. 450+ pages is about 200 pages too long. Add in a MMC (I have no desire to call him a hero) that is TSTL and this makes for a long story—too many characters, too much meandering is used to set up the infidelity.

Spoilers…

He’s got kinks, he’s into BDSM—does he communicate this to his virgin GF? No, no, he doesn’t. And yes, she really is a virgin (and once they have sex, she’s not happy, it’s uncomfortable and not what she expected). She finds out about his preferences when she walks in on him during a “scene”, a foursome.

2 every character needs therapy stars. And honestly, it’s a 1 star story for me, but I felt guilty that I knew I wasn’t going to be a fan.

Nova and Breakneck.

The characters are flawed in every way. As with MC books, they are harsh, brutal, but heartfelt. The family, the connections to each character really flowed like a river though the story.
I was rooting for Nova to get a backbone in the beginning. The way she was spoken to and treated was shameful. I wanted her to fight back and show some gumption…….. I was not disappointed. Oh yes, damn, did she get there in the end. I was proud of her. The way she laid it out there….phew that scene was soooo good.

Now onto the cheating. As much as a lot of readers hate cheating in stories, it happens in real life, often. As hard as it is, it’s just a fact. As much as it’s heart rendering to read and we feel such angst and anger, it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be written. It just needs to be written well. The one thing I think that is often forgotten about is the timeline. We’re reading it in the space of a few hours, whereas on page their time can be months apart, which for me as a reader is important, especially when redemption is needed.

The one thing that stood out for is that how the Brotherhood had Nova’s back. There was no ‘looking the other way’ like in other MC books I’ve read. That really set this book apart.

There was a scene that was imperative and crucial to the story line. Not only for Break and Nova, but for me as a reader. That scene was when he truly and utterly felt the weight, truth and consequences of his actions. His remorse was palpable. Nova was truly spectacular, I was right there with her. It was so cleverly written and unlike anything I have read before in a story of betrayal. It encapsulated everything I needed as a reader.

Sometimes with a cheating book we have to look past the rage we feel. We don’t have to agree with them or forgive what they’ve done, but we can try to really ‘see’ that it’s their story. That’s what the author was able to do.
With some cheating books you don’t always get to feel the remorse, this had it in spades. The last quarter of the book was the complete icing on the cake. It left me feeling safe and happy with the HEA.

Cheating. Cheating. And more cheating. He may be the hero but he's a terrible boyfriend as he plots how he can cheat without her finding out which leads to her being kidnapped. Ugh. He was awful. He makes the previous H look like Prince Charming as at least he worked on himself.

To be fair, this H does try and amend his ways, but sometimes there's just no coming back. Plus the sex was kind of gross. I did appreciate the fact that the h calls him on bad sex on front of his motorcycle brethren.

So disappointed as I had just re-read Wait For Me and was surprised how much I liked it the second time around.

ORIGINAL UPDATE 4-2023

I’m only 20% into this book and I have no comment on the plot so far. My only gripe is that this cast of characters have shown more care and concern for this book’s FMC, A STRANGER, than they did for the FMC in book one who was the club princess, the club president’s daughter. They have given this FMC money, food, housing, and security. Whereas in book one that FMC/daughter/princess wasn’t given any of those things except for a club brother who was being forced into marriage and the promise that it was okay if he cheated on her. Lmbo!! There is so much disparity between these two situations that just like in the first book I wonder what this author understands about the meaning of “family”.

28% UPDATE

The MMC in this book is disgusting. And kind of gross. So far I’m not liking his behavior and most of his thoughts. I do like that this author has given him a lot of page time. I love reading the MMC’s POV’s. Honestly, though he is more than a jerk. He’s obnoxious. I hate that in a man. It’s one thing to be blunt or direct, it’s another thing to be disrespectful of anyone or anything. The MMC is all of that and then some. All negative. Other than his obsession for the FMC, yes it’s a very narcissistic obsession, all about his wants and desires for her and not about what she wants or desires, the MMC is unlikable and has too many negative traits for my taste in a male lead in a romance story. We’ll see how it plays out. It’s a bit slow so far, especially as there is supposed to be cheating somewhere in here. As yet, this couple hasn’t had a real conversation let alone a date or kiss or hook up. Not even a strangers ONS has happened between them yet.

There has however been three on page s e x scenes of the MMC with other women up to this point in the book. Charming, not. I’m not holding out hope that I will end this book liking it.

33% UPDATE

OMG!, this author is seriously making her story of the FMC choosing the MMC NOT because he is worth it but because he is better than what she could have ended up as. A victim of a corpse molesting serial killer!! Now this is a first for me. As excuses go, it’s a strong one. This author could have written the FMC choosing the sweet prospect Mikey “charmer” Chalmers. He is a more realistic love interest for the FMC. But no, it’s either the FMC ends up a dead blowup doll for a psycho killer or she ends up with a dysfunctional narcissist who plans on cheating on her before he has even tried to date her yet. That’s extreme plotting. The choice of a obnoxious cheat or a homicidal necrophiliac. Weird storyline.

If those are the ONLY options then I can see how the FMC would choose this lousy excuse for a MMC. The problem is he ISN’T the only option. There’s every single club brother, besides Charmer and Tripp. Hell, I would even be okay with her becoming the home wrecking nanny if she chooses Kip, her married employer, over this crappy MMC instead. Literally ANY OTHER MALE, besides the necrophiliac, IS BETTER THAN THIS MMC. I mean the bar is set ridiculously low!! Just saying, this story started off one way and has gone completely another. We are now up to four s e x scenes with the MMC with OW. Smdh.

35% UPDATE

The MMC is seriously taking advantage of the FMC. No way around it. This is the second book I’ve read by this author that I find is NOT a romance. It’s circumstance at best, settling at worse. Ugh.

FINAL UPDATE

I don’t really feel this is a romance. The MMC is straight trash. While he gets better it’s really not by much. The FMC had BBS for him even though she was a strong character. She definitely let her feelings for him make her judgements. He never showed her the basic forms of respect in their development that she knew she deserved. But because she was so traumatized and living in survival mode she was just desperate for any attention she was given. The cheating happened at the 69% mark too. Which was too far into the book for my preference. It’s too long a build up between this couple and then after his epic f#€k up not enough time is given to repair their crappy relationship. The author had it solved way too easy. Smh. Realistically though, how can you take a pile of steaming shit and make it better? So I can totally give the author a pass on that. The MMC is what he is.

Mostly I couldn’t get out of my head the blatant discrepancies between how this club treated one of its own in comparison to how they placed on a pedestal this FMC all because she was a good babysitter. The first books FMC was basically abandoned by every single member of this club, supposedly because of its charter rules. Yet in this book, a club whore was elevated to a member brother and this books FMC had everyone’s protection almost from the beginning of her employment with them. Not including the weeks that most of them knew about the cheating and helped to hide it from the FMC. Smh. It was too off for me to let go.

Having said all that, I couldn’t put it down! I wanted to see what happens with other members of the club, mostly just Kip. I liked scout, but I also didn’t like her. Anyway, the next couple books are about the messy life if the MC president Tripp and since I already know too much about it, I’m going to pass on those books and wait for the ones after it. This story was well written, even with some of the continuity issues I felt it had. But it’s definitely complex enough that it’s worth a read. I mean the options of either ending up dead or ending up with a garbage pail man was funny enough alone to keep your interests. Lol. Good luck.

UPDATE 8-2024

I absolutely love this book. It has stayed with me since the first time I read it. I have reread it several times since. The messy characters and crazy subplot of the perverted killer still makes me laugh all the time. I discuss the level of absurdity in this book with my friends who laugh at this too even though they aren’t readers themselves but they like hearing about the funny weird stories I come across. I am still DESPERATE for kips book. I hope the author doesn’t take my reviews as insults because they aren’t and I am completely fascinated with several of her stories if not all of them. Just to help readers find my favorites by this author 1) His Bittersweet Regret 2) Redemption Weather 3) The Restart and Remedy 4) Ghosted by Texas, along with this book. I reread them fairly often and I’m slowly working my way through this author’s catalog of books under all her pen names. I have found if I force myself to binge her books I don’t like them as much as I should. So I wait for her book blurb to “speak to me” before reading it, and I totally stalk her on FB asking when Kips book is coming out lol. She has already answered that question several times lol. I thank her for her indulgence in doing that. It is now an effort for me to find grace in patience. Enjoy and good luck.

I enjoyed this as a train wreck.
Nova is a college student who finds she isn't the daughter of the rich man her mother married and next thing she knows, she's out on the street penniless and renting a room with a total creep.
Nova gets a job as nanny to Kip's baby that he had with that duplicitous twit, Ashley.
Ashley is awful through the whole story and is just a 2D evil vamp.

Breakneck grew up learning that relationships are poison and all he's known is club girl rough sex.
But he's drawn to Nova from the first time they meet.
Nova is wary of the bikers but needs the work. She finds Breakneck sexy but also sees him for the manho he is. She sees him leave with women to have sex and worse.

I was rolling my eyes at how much the author changed Kip's character from the last book. He was such an utter waste of space in the last book that I was a little disappointed at the blatant whitewashing. Probably he's made to look more sympathetic for a future book where he can play hero.

Anyways, Breakneck is disgusting for the first 3rd of the story with his manho ways and putting Nova down. But always with raging jealousy when anyone shows interest in her.

He decides that he wants to try a relationship with Nova and promises that he will be straight up with her if things change. But he was lying. He has weird ideas that he can't have sex with Nova unless it's missionary style and gentle. Of course he never discusses this with Nova. In fact he doesn't discuss dick with her. Of course it all blows up in his face because the meaning of a relationship is that both people have communication going.

He cheats and she sees it and it's just yuck.

But, although Nova runs and gets her life back together without him, he is determined to win her back. It takes a while of back and forth and some delicious comeuppance dealt by Nova, but he does manage to convince her to give him another try.

There's good club chicks and bad. There's an evil villain (well a few) that never actually make appearances, but serve as bug-a-boos.

It was maybe a bit less offensive OW wise than the first book but not by much.
But I loved how she tells him in front of the whole club how he sucks in bed. Delicious!

safety sucks of course. I did think he groveled pretty well but his sins were pretty bad and came from selfish interests.

“Fuck me harder! Yes, daddy! Fuck my pussy with that big ol’ cock!”
“Shut up!” I ordered.

I JUST BURST OUT LAUGHING THATS HILARIOUS

“Should have brought a second bitch in here and dropped you face down in her cunt to keep that mouth of yours shut before I lose the mood,” I grumbled. Connie’s cheeks flamed with heat as her eyes flashed with annoyance.

😭😭😭💀💀💀

I yanked one of my pillows out of the pillowcase and tossed the fucking thing over Connie’s head. The pillowcase, not the pillow. I wasn’t trying to kill her, just make her invisible

THIS WNTIRE SEX SCENE IS FRYING ME

“What in the fuck is going on in here?” I turned to see Vamp standing in my doorway laughing. “Jesus, Break. I’ve seen a lot of shit, but that takes the cake! Who do you have under there? I didn’t think we had any truly ugly bitches that had to be bagged before they were tagged.”
That did it. Connie kicked her leg up and down, flailing in the signal to let her go because she’d had enough.
“Fuck you, Vamp! Now, she’s gonna bolt before I get to cum.”
I pulled my cock free from Connie’s gaping ass and shook my head in disgust. Hers was not the body I wanted to see lying there.

IM WHEEZING I CANT BREATHE
this is so offensive and degrading to women but im just gonna let feminism leave my body for just a sec coz i cant stop laughing

He wants to be with fmc- but he doesn’t even give her the big O …: meanwhile he’s sneaking around having good times with the Club Ho’s. When Nova finally finds out she reams him out and is done…: Breakneck does a good grovel.

🔺Author note in Amazon book page:
*This was a reader requested story for lovers of cheating romance. If that is not your thing, this will not be the book for you! See "Look Inside" or download sample for other possible content that is questionable for some readers.
🔺Does “reader requested” mean it’s a perfect cheating book? I wanna give it a go, then.
After spoilers…

🔺Amazon blurb:
SAVAGE VIPERS MC #2 by Anne Storm ()

🔺Kindle sample: Reader Content Warning Book Specific Warning: Tough subjects discussed in this book (first four listed are NOT detailed on page, but talked about): snuff, necrophilia, child predators, sexual assault, privacy violations with hidden video in bathrooms and bedrooms, and some aspects of human trafficking, violence, death, cheating, and explicit sexual scenes. My books are not for the faint of heart. They might contain ˚triggers and are not for “safe readers”. If you are a “safe reader” back away now and find something else! DO NOT READ IT! ♥ XO, Anne Storm ˚triggers may include: foul language, violence, cheating, sex between H and h, sex between H and others, h and others, and nudity described on the page. 😉

I have been waiting for this book since it was written based on favorite cheating lovers trope. Given this authors capability to write a real SOB with all the yummy tropes that hurt so good, I assumed it would be amazing. Yet, the cheating wish list was of a mild persuasion and not my idea of a “cheating unicorn”.
The H was so close to being what I wanted, but I did not buy into the excuse for his need to meet his “kink” which was very tame. Things didn’t add up for the why.
Thank you for writing a cheat book, but I would love to see your hardcore bikers.
I will keep wishing that fluffy romance books would leave my biker books alone. The fiction world has set up the stage for years that biker books should be for a specific reader that doesn’t need to be coddled. Where have all the real bikers gone?

Loved it !

If you want a book that is full of angst, betrayal, flawed characters topped off with page turning storylines then this is the book for you ! Well worth the wait, Christine was probably more than glad to see the back of this book but it's turned out to be a one of my favourites so far. If you don't like flawed characters then this isn't the book for you, me on the other hand loved the flawed characters, this is my personal opinion that of an honest reader who appreciates the skills involved in turning the opinion of the reader 180

I appreciate this author wanting to give readers what they want. But this book just missed the mark. I was confused by the plot holes. There was cheating, OW drama but 0 grovel and an easy HEA. I fortunately purchased the bonus chapter book and man if the book wasn’t rushed out it would have been so much better. The three stars are for the authors skilled word play. Although some of the conversations were preachy. I will read the next book.

Holy guacamole, there is some cheaty angsty goodness in here. It’s an MC-lite book, as only Christine Michelle can do, but I loved it. This author can throw in some humdingers of a twist!

I read this a while ago and forgot to update.
Now.. I still remember how DEVASTATED i was reading this at the time, and i remember well the feeling of "oh this gurl is hella stupid to accept him so easily again".
No good grovel and entitled MMC.
Wasted my time honestly.

Disappointing

The OG MC authors like Madeline Sheehan, Jamie Begley, Blink Cummings, Tillie Cole, Joanna Wylde, etc. Set the bar high. They wrote exciting, unapologetic, page turners. Unfortunately this author has fell into the trap of pleasing a small group of ladies always asking for grovel. This type of groveling doesn't belong in MC drama, it makes the H weak and it's unrealistic. The characters lack depth and the story line is basically cheat, bad sex , grovel and more grovel. The MC itself and it's interactions were not believable . Definitely had something there for the making of a good story but then the focus became the set up for grovel and all the groveling. Disappointing

Book 1 ☑️ … but book 2 🤮 both MC are unlikeable. H is rotten…who the heck would want that as a partner for life…as for the heroine…doormat.

This was a really great story and I binge read it in a late night session. But I will say the hero didn’t win me over til the last few chapters. I knew there was cheating going in, I enjoy the cheating/regret/forgiveness arc in books but he just made me angry. Often. I did love the ending though and can’t wait for more from this MC, especially Kip’s story.

3⭐️

This was really entertaining. Yes, there’s a lot of drama but I enjoyed not being able to skim through it because there were things happening the entire time.

I need Scout & Kip’s story ASAP!

Considered ibuying this one for a long time, re-read wait for me and thought bugger it. I didn’t hate it, and i don’t regret paying for it. I just gah - Breakneck was such a douche and Nova admits she knew what she was getting herself into so therefore took a bit of the punch away because let’s be honest we could all see what was going to happen spoilers or no spoilers. as always with a cheating book and the reconciliation, the major question we all want answered is does he deserve the h and will he do it again… and the answer to that, no he doesn’t and no I don’t think so because his little virgin likes a bit of his kink which will keep him in line.

A story about a guy that hurts the girl he’s with over and over again. She takes him back each time because he says he’ll be different. She eventually catches him in the act of cheating and she finally breaks things off with him. They get back together and supposedly live happily ever after because he only said he would TRY those other times, but this he’s finally serious. Oh, and he writes her emotionally devoid letters and has snacks delivered, so… swoon?

Breakneck is always honest about who and what he is, so while his behavior on the surface is foul, it's not my major problem with him. He emotionally manipulates a lonely, young, and naive girl going through an incredible amount of trauma to fulfill his own sexual interest in her. He low key gaslights her every time he screws up trying to convince her it was mostly her misinterpretation of the situation more than him being a complete piece of garbage. Further, the only appeal he held for her was the fact she felt alone in the world and he would give her crumbs of attention.

The book before this, Wait for Me, had a similar MMC, but he grew as a character as the story progresses. Breakneck was still terrible. There was no emotional development. They just got on the same page about sex. Guess what? Sex and passion fades. And as Breakneck has always been honest about until the very end of the book, sex is the paramount important factor in his relationships. So essentially, their story will just be a perpetual cycle of this drama unless Nova finally found a man who can give her emotional AND physical fulfillment. She deserves better.

This was a hard one and I'm gonna spoil the crap out of it. I'm hiding this whole review and the really messy stuff in spoiler tags, so you've been warned.

Nova is a former rich girl who was disowned by her father's family after they found out she wasn't his biologically, even though he'd been raising her for 19 years. They take everything from her and push her out in the street. She's still trying to get through college, so when it turns out she has (honest to God) living in the house of a necrophiliac serial killer who likes to take videos of her in the shower (and other places) and distribute them to mysterious parties, she takes a job nannying for Kip (the brother of Star from the first book) . Because no one in childcare around those parts apparently wants to work for an MC, Kip treats Nova, a random stranger who is desperate for money and nice to his kid, like everyone should have been treating Star, his sister, the "club princess" (in name only), in book 1.

Breakneck is Kip's club brother in the MMC. He sees Nova and it's insta-old-lady for him (sorta). Seeing that he's a total manwhore (he has several on-page scenes with OWs, and come to think of it, possibly more scenes with OWs than with Nova herself (I'm not going back to count), so if that bothers you, definitely skip this one) and knowing that there is mutual interest, Nova asks him to be exclusive and tells him if he sees a point when he can't do that, to let her know first. Breakneck agrees to her request (while internally monologuing about how he's probably going to have to find satisfaction somewhere else because she's the dreaded "virgin" and couldn't possibly want to be a little kinky once that hurdle is jumped, so really he never intended to honor her request) and begins taking Nova on dates, essentially courting her. He is particularly dense, even for a macho male character in a cheater romance book and along the way, does some really insensitive things that Nova notices, but he has no clue about (for example, early on he calls her a "bitch" meaning "woman" in his dumbass misogynistic biker mind, but of course, she just hears "bitch" and then he wonders why she's mad).

I never quite understood why Nova was so into Breakneck, other than he was hot and she was desperate for love and affection, and his interest in her appears to be entirely related to his massive madonna/whore complex and having a creepy obsession with impregnating her (she's 19 and in college, sir, calm down please and let her live a bit first). They never demonstrated much in common, and other than Breakneck taking her on dates and treating her well (or rather, like a human being) during those times, I couldn't figure out why they wanted to be together, other than the aforementioned somewhat shallow reasons. I did like that Nova's first time and the sex while they first got together was either bad or meh and she inwardly acknowledges that in her brain she's exchanging crappy sex for the little tidbits of affection she gets from him. That is something I don't see often in these books and totally worked for the issues. Obviously, as mentioned above, it doesn't take long for Breakneck to start looking at the club whores instead of, I dunno, actually telling the insecure virgin what he likes and finding out her opinions about trying stuff.

Seriously, this fuckin' guy...

So her finding out that Breakneck has been doing other women despite promising he'd talk to her first, is when the story really explodes. Because remember the mysterious parties that the necrophiliac serial killer was sharing videos of Nova (i.e., his next victim) with? Yeah, they want her now. Oh and

So yeah, there's a lot.

And honestly, I know that this author can be super hit or miss for me and I don't think I particularly loved Wait For Me, so I probably should have guessed I'd feel similarly here, but to stuff all this stuff into the second half of the book and not have Nova figure out that Breakneck never intended to be loyal until, like, Chapter 35 (I think -- and there were only, maybe 42 chapters in the book) meant I didn't get nearly enough page time for the grovel. Considering what she finds out about the man who raised her later on, I would have liked more time there, more time making Breakneck sweat, and more time with him just plain on his knees. The scene in the shower toward the end was... a lot... but honestly, he needed to suffer a lot more. I can forgive cheating, but never intending to be loyal and then having an easy out by just talking to her about it...? Yeah, I needed more from this grovel. A lot more.

So I kind of ended up hating this by the end because it went so far off the rails and then just kind of stuffed resolutions in here and there, like there was a page limit or something , but also I was having so much fun with the wackiness that it's hard to rate it too low. It certainly delivered on the angst, but I need for there to be a better reason for angst than the hero is misogynistic and doesn't know how to use his damn words. Also, there were a ton of grammatical and typographic and just plain weird errors that an editor could have/should have caught as well, so keep that in mind too when picking it up.

Well this was a trainwreck I couldn't look away from. Read the triggers. It's bad. I'm pretty sure Breakneck the H is King of the idiots. Nova was an ok h. Too young and naive, but obviously what the author was going for. Which brings me to my rant with this author. I've read a few of her books now and it feels like she prioritizes scenes with the CWs (club whores), over scenes with the actual h of the story. Which I really find strange. I've never seen so many on page scenes with CWs than I have with this one. I don't know. Maybe once again this is just me.

I wanted to add the characters I did like. Grady and Nova's dad Jeremy

Where tf is the grovel? If you’re going to write about cheating then the least you can do is put in some damn grovelling. And even if you did the book would still be shit. How do you fall in love with someone like him? He’s selfish, disgusting and a whore.

If I had my way I’d let the FMC run away. Start a new and find someone better. Or atleast put in grovel that actually makes you want to forgive this shit MMC.
