The main characters in this short romance story are identical twins Sloane Ford, the girly one, Sam (Samantha) Ford, the tomboy, and their best friend since early childhood, Parker Monroe. One of the twins has been in love with Parker since they were five and he has secretly been in love with one of them for most of his life as well. But none of them want to upset the wonderful friendship and bonds they have in their lifelong trio. Sam thinks that Parker is in love with her sister Sloane and would never pay her any attention in that way, even though she is smitten with him. He is a single dad to a lovely young girl called Hazel, from a one night stand, who didn’t want to be a parent and they are both considered her aunties. He feels he needs to do something to break away from this love for one of his best friends and when he is offered the chance to be the bachelor in the October Man of the Month Club’s latest matchmaking event, he jumps at the opportunity.
Amazingly, he is matched of one of the twins and sent off on a date with them. Neither wants the other sister to be upset about this result and so the date becomes a bit of a non-date evening! The trio’s lifelong friendship seems to be more important to them than the chance at love, with the person they are perfectly matched to! Someone needs to smack their heads together and make them realise the truth that has been staring everybody else in the face for years. Action needs to be made on someone’s part and the misunderstandings will need to be levelled out, to make this a HEA ending. There is a mild bit of steam added in at the end for the couple and more to come with another bachelor and this expert matchmaking panel. Will the other twin finally get her chance at true love? Will have to wait and see in the next book. Each book is a very short tale, making for an easy and quick bit of romance to read.
