Evangelical—In, of, or according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the literal teachings of the Holy Bible.

Gullible—Easily deceived.

Evangullible—Easily deceived by teachings that contradict the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the literal teachings of the Holy Bible.

Over the last four decades, the unholy spirit and deceptive false teachings of a New Age/New Gospel have worked their way into an undiscerning and all-too-gullible church. Pastors and church leaders who years ago warned about New Age deception have hardly talked about it since. As a result, this New Gospel of the New Age is presently viewed by most believers as a long-ago past occurrence even as its overlapping terms, false teachings, and deceptive practices continue to creep into the church.

Thus, while many church leaders and pastors talk about the cultural challenges of the day and the need for revival, they say almost nothing about our Adversary’s spiritual schemes and devices. And while these same leaders write dramatic books and letters exhorting the church to be “courageous,” to “speak out,” and to “not be silenced,” they have been effectively silenced themselves when it comes to spiritual deception in the church. Instead of exposing spiritual evil, contending for the faith, and fighting the good fight, they often advocate, endorse, or turn a blind eye to the very things they should be confronting.

Truly excellent book, investigation and especially spiritual discernment.

The only room for improvement is related to the role of Martin Luther King, and his war cry of 'I have a dream'. Smith perfectly elaborates how this had been abused by the New Age Civil Rights Movement, but he does not see the spiritual dimension of MLK, who was not a Christian and carried rather the spirit of an anti-Christ. The New Age Civil Rights Movement would have never found spiritual inspiration from a sound Christian, and it would have been good and necessary to discern more in detail on MLK.

A book which should be read by every Christian. Truly superb, without any questionable endorsements or own theologies which many other authors display in their books. Smith 'had one task', to convert his experience of spiritual fallenness into discernment and spiritual victory, and he did this with perfection without deviating to the left or right.

NEUTRAL

o Regarding Maitr*** - I quote GotQuestions: "Speculating on whether or not the antichrist will claim to be Maitr*** seems rather fruitless; Maitr*** is not a real person, but part of mythical beliefs. It is possible that the 'beast' of Revelation 13:11-15 (the word 'antichrist' is not in the book of Revelation) could be someone who claims to be Maitr***, or whom others perceive as Maitr***. However, since G-d's Word does not give us information on who the beast is, it is best to be assured of one's salvation so that, whoever the antichrist / beast turns out to be, one can find peace and safety in eternal life through faith in Christ."
