I was pretty disappointed with this book. I listened to it because I heard the author, Michelle McKinney Hammond, on a podcast episode of Annie F. Downs' That Sounds Fun! It's a podcast I really enjoy and respect. The conversation on that podcast episode was life-giving and interesting, and it seemed full of wisdom. I was excited to hear more from Michelle McKinney Hammond, but was disappointed to find that in her book she frequently took scripture out of context and changed the true meaning to fit the point she was trying to make. In many instances, I found her interpretation of scripture to take Jesus' power, and thus, the power of the Gospel and Truth, out of the conversation completely. This is a dangerous and misleading form of the Christian faith. I will not be recommending this book to anyone, and I will not be reading anything from this author again.

This book is well written, the author reads it in a voice that is easy to listen to. She speaks on reliance on God when changes occur in your life and to embrace those changes gracefully instead of fighting against the outcome. I can't say I learned anything but I did finish the read.

This is a motivational book that speaks about the seasons of life. I found some of it helpful, but I couldn’t relate to a large portion of it.
