Solid overview. I've been looking up specific events mentioned in this book and will carry on my studies on this subject. I feel like it gave me a good foundation. Will update after taking the exam.
This was my first DSST, I passed by a good margin. This is a short but comprehensive overview of the war, it greatly helped in my test taking.
My daddy served in Nam, and after years of hearing his stories, I realized I don't know nearly as much about the Vietnam War as I thought I did (or as I'd like to). This book answered all of my questions, but it has so much history to cover, it's not very in-depth. So obviously, if I wanted more information about a certain battle or about the Presidents' handlings of the war, I'd have to do some more research on my own (*gasp*). Gives a good basis of the physical and political events leading up to the war, during the war, and ending the war.
