My, this upped the raunchy factor quickly. The story's improving quite nicely, though, with Jihyeok realizing that if he wants to win over his love, he's going to have to actually try.

Things I want in the next volume:
- Eunkyum gets to take a nap (seriously girl, those dark circles are BAD)
- Eunkyum gets A Fucking Break From It All
- Eunkyum gets his boundaries respected???? is that so much to ask for???

Urgh. Like other reviewers mentioned, there is not much going on in this volume other than smut, which can definitely be someone's cup of tea, but I would have preferred to have it balance a bit more with character and relationship development. Like yeah, Eunkyum is slowly starting to see Jihyuk in a new light, but with how their sex life is going, it's really feeling like one step forward and two steps back. Especially since, like, Jihyuk really isn't trying to win Eunkyum over all that hard.

Like yeah, he stands up for him at work, but given that he's one of Eunkyum's supervisors, that is literally his job and not something that really felt like something meaningful he went out of his way to do -- the comforting he did afterward, though, that felt a little bit more special and touching. Similarly, even though he stepped up to help Eunkyum with his family, he didn't do so because Eunkyum needed help; he did it because the twins were pushy about it and because he wants to be with Eunkyum, which would be sweet if it didn't feel constantly undercut by him not listening to and respecting Eunkyum's boundaries.

I'm just... not sure what to think at the moment. My review on the first volume is glowing, and I felt that volume one ended in a good place where they would both be on an even playing field in their relationship because they both needed to grow in their own ways. And I feel like the first chapter of this volume was a step in the right direction, with Eunkyum admitting how exhausted he is from work & how hard he constantly tries yet only experiences bad things and Jihyuk realizing that he was a part of that... but then we got chapter 6, which was just sex, and chapter 7, which was mostly just sex, and chapter 8, which was, once again, mostly just sex. Sigh. I really hope the next volume pulls back a bit and focuses on their character and relationship developments... I'm not against sex scenes but like... stopping the momentum and flow of the story for them is such a let down...

You can see the depth of Jihyuk’s feelings in all of the little things he does for Eunkyum. From standing up to one of the office managers to helping take care of his family. These two are slowly taking over my heart with how adorable they are.

It's funny that I'd thought the drama at the end of Volume 1 meant Volume 2 would be more of a slow burn as they developed their relationship...

I'm honestly starting to burn out on manhwa; the ratio of smut to story is really off balance for a lot of the popular ones. (Maybe that's why they're so popular...)

Disappointing, when I'd loved all the stuff in Volume 1 about Eunkyum in the workplace and the complications of his connection with Jihyuk. But other than one really good scene with Jihyuk correctly identifying the careless manager who was blaming Eunkyum for his own mistakes, there just...wasn't much in the way of actual story or character progression here.

And it bothers me how much time Eunkyum spends saying "no" while they are having sex. I get that it's the "no is an empty protest because he secretly likes it" trope, but there aren't enough genuine feelings mixed in yet for that to feel balanced. And it's just. A lot. Page after page of them doing anything other than talking.

The part with Jihyuk spending time in Eunkyum's family home while his grandmother's in the hospital could've been cute, but even that got interrupted by "oh no I can't hold myself back, all we have is the physical." So for now I think I'm done with this story. Plus the kemonomimi AU started up in bonus chapters at the end of this volume, and I really am not into that. So oh well. It was a good try...maybe it picks up from here, but after this volume, I'm not feeling that invested.

I don't think I'll continue this one. It has the same office romance setup that I love in On or Off 01 and The New Recruit (Comic) Vol. 1, which are two of my favorite series, but this one doesn't work for me. In the first one, there was some grey area in the drunken consent (and even that's being generous), but in this second volume, the consent just wasn't there, and even if he agreed he enjoyed everything after the fact, the characters never had any conversation prior, and the main character even consistently said "no" (and also that he "hates" the love interest). It's not the dynamic for me, and I think the relationship is grossly mishandled.

I loved being able to read this story in a physical book… Last time I read it was on my phone on a manhwa website.

This one is a continuation of volume 1 and starts off right where book one left off, which is amazing! I got to see the MMCs finally start to admit their feelings for each other, and they developed their relationship some more…was it all healthy? No, but that’s okay because they’re still learning.

I am ready to get the next volumes so I can finish the story again! I low-key don't remember if I finished it on my phone or not

Band 2 war nicht nur niedlich, sondern auch sehr sexy. Gefühlt hat man Eun-Gyeom und Jihyuk ja in trauter Zweisamkeit gesehen. Ich wurde bestens unterhalten und hätte gerne direkt Band 3.

Zwar haben die beiden ihr Verhältnis nicht als „Paar“ deklariert, aber ich denke, sie sind auf einen guten Weg. Natürlich müssen erst einmal die eigenen Unsicherheiten und die Ereignisse aus der Vergangenheit überwunden werden. Aber immerhin funktioniert die Kommunikation im Schlafzimmer bereits reibungslos. Höhö.

Un secret crush to work enemies to lovers amb una dinàmica de parella lletgíssima que li resta molts punts. Tot i que la trama té anades i vingudes força trepidants, em costa encaixar l'estranya dinàmica de poder entre els protagonistes, que són treballador i supervisor, així com els canvis d'humor tan bruscos i tòxics del seme. En els moments bons és una història addictiva, sexy i fins i tot entranyable, però patina massa sovint. Gens prioritària perquè la publiquin a Espanya, la veritat, no cal que copiem els italians. Una llàstima :(

While some aspects of this series are fun (and I'll definitely keep reading it to see where the story goes), this volume was mainly spicy times. Like, it was A LOT.

But with that being said, I loved the moments with the younger siblings and seeing the grouch become a cinnamon roll. The dynamics between these two characters is interesting and sometimes I'm not sure where the main character is going with how he feels, but I do like seeing the grouch becomes softer.

Like I said, I'm intrigued to see where this story will go!

It gets a bit more funny. Consent is still dubious but the scenes are 😏. Eunkyum’s siblings are super cute. There are lot of scenes where you go 😳😏 and it’s all initiated by Jihyuk. Whether he’s drunk or sober his feelings for Eunkyum never fail to be expressed and it’s almost a bit much for our MC. Let’s see what vol 3 brings.

Surprised again! This is another book series that I wasn't sure if I was going to continue. It has changed some ideas of that their love is. But, a little narcissistic much? The love between Jihyuk and Eunkyum is very intense. They definitely need to show more finesse in some way towards each other. But, I think Jihyuk is older and doesn't need to push Eunkyum too much.

Devo dire che mi è piaciuto più il primo.
Il rapporto tra Lee e Han sta prendendo una strada sua, passando per alcune scene dub-con che hanno un po’ appesantito la lettura. Niente di grave o violento, capisco che è un volume di passaggio e in un certo senso ci sta anche.
Aspetto di leggere il seguito per farmi un’idea più precisa.
