In Candy Cane Key, I’m the playboy. I’m not rude or disrespectful as some might think. I am a shameless flirt though, and sometimes that gets me into trouble.
Big trouble.
Like that time I hit on the Dean's wife. Yeah, not my proudest moment. You think I would have learned. If only it was that simple.
I just can't seem to turn it off. Not then and definitely not now with this tiny pixie running around campus.
Mackenzie West may be the last one I ever get to flirt with. And it just may be by choice.
Mackenzie
Not even a day on the new job and I've already been warned. Mark McCall is a playboy and I'm to stay away. But I can't seem to help myself. From his relentless flirting and his slick pickup lines, I'm finding myself drawn to him.
He may be Candy Cane Key's biggest playboy but I can see that there is more to him than meets the eye. The more he flirts and the more time we spend together, I realize he's not who everyone thinks he is.
Now that he's shown me beyond his charms, I need to be honest with him.
I’ve been keeping a secret.
Will the connection we made be enough to keep us together or will he run once he finds out?

Thank you Carolina for sending me this charming story!
I was hooked right off the bat when pineapple on pizza was mentioned. It is my all time favorite pizza but that's beside the point. This novella takes place in Candy Cane Keys. The setting took me back to when I lived in a Alaska and would visit the tiny town North Pole. It's a charming setting!
The characters where super lovable. We have Mark a hottie with every cheesy pick up line you can imagine and Mackenzie a comeback queen to everyone of Mark's lines. I really liked the aspect of the cheer couch falling for the IT guy!
If you're looking for a fast read that's also charming this is the book for you!
Mark is known as a player, when he meets a girl at the tea shop she gives as good as she gets. Mackenzie is the new head coach of the cheer team, and is told to stay away from Mark. They have an instant attraction and chemistry. She has a big secret. Can they be together or will circumstances keep them apart. Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book love Mark and Mackenzie great supporting characters. This is a short, sweet, and sexy book.
I wasn't sure about this book with the opening few pages...Mark came across as a little sleezy. I loved that Mackenzie had an answer to all his lines and soon he was gone!!.

This book is part of the Candy Cane Key Series. The story is a small town instalove football/ cheerleader sport romance. This book is hot and entertaining with a happy ending.

While this book didn't resemble any of the Candy Cane Key that I've read in other books, it did bring a new update to the town in the way of a university. Personally I feel like the small town vibe doesn't fit with a university, but perhaps a small private college could work. So I've changed the description in my head to keep it small and cozy still.
I loved the couple in this story from their initial meet cute with the snarky lines that zing back and forth between them. Watching Mark work so hard to win over Mac and tell her each time that it's not a line and watching Mac fall for him slowly until she can't deny it any longer was just a joy to read. Their banter really builds up the foreplay between them so that when they finally get together it's explosive.
This was my first time reading anything by this author, but if her other stories have this same vibe of fun and flirty while still being smoldering and sexy then I can guarantee I'll be reading future stories from her.

Infinite spirit fingers for On the Dean’s Naughty List!!
Mark is known in Candy Cane Key as the playboy, he is always seen flirting and interacting with woman so the town assumes that is just who he is. After 1 misunderstanding with the Deans wife goes south, Mark is deemed absolutely forbidden when the Dean’s daughter Mackenzie starts her head coaching job at NPU.
From the start these two have unmatchable chemistry and great banter. Mark has all the lines and Mackenzie has every come back!! But ultimately Mark makes Mackenzie feel seen in a way that no one else has before. She’s “just a cheer coach” and Mark sees her as so much more!!
“You and your lines, Mark. Got a thing for cheerleaders, do you?” “Oh, sweetheart, not cheerleaders. Just the coach.”
From a former cheerleader & current cheer coach, Mrs. Jax hit it spot on of what life is like as a coach! The way she talks about how others view cheerleading, and the work and dedication that goes into a sport that is never as appreciated as other sports. There were so many cheerleading & coaching things that I could so easily relate to that most people would view as a detail in a story, and I viewed as feeling seen and represented!
“I wanted to run through more tape tonight.” “Mackenzie. You watch more tape than the football team does.” (The accuracy of this, freaking spot on! I’ve even stayed home to watch videos to fix my competition routines instead of doing fun things)
“And then I was born to coach the next generation of girls, let them know they weren’t just a pretty face. They could do whatever they wanted. Be whatever they wanted. They just needed to believe they could.” (10/10 hit this right on the nose!! My goal as a coach is that my athletes leave my program as not only better athletes but as better humans overall!)
Also the bring it on references were on point!🙌
Anyways! I loved this novella, and I loved getting to go back to Candy Cane Key with some of the best people! It was fun to see Dash & Summer, and man can I not wait for Jameson’s story!!
Finally back to Candy Cane Key! I was first introduced to Mark in “Falling for the Grouch” and I couldn’t wait for his story!
We have our jokester , smooth talking playboy. Women fall for him because of his charm but not our FMC Mackenzie. She has seen this her whole life growing up especially with her older brothers who use all the pick up lines to get the girl. But Mark doesn’t run away from a challenge, more now that he starts to fall for her. It’s a small town so everyone knows everyone’s business so Mark has a “reputation”. Mackenzie realizes that is all talk and starts to know the real Mark but is still wanting to keep their relationship a secret especially since her father is the Dean who hates Mark for some past drama but Mark doesn’t know that’s her father. Yikes! Makes for an interesting “Meet the parents.” 😅
These characters are so easy to love! Mark is definitely the sweetest and playful guy but he’s misjudged a lot. Mackenzie is just an all star. She’s a cheer coach who’s a former cheerleader and she’s ready to show what she got. She’s so passionate about this sport and wanting to prove herself that she got to where she’s at on her own.
The connection between these two is undeniable. Love the interaction between these two. A relationship where you can laugh and be yourself with each other is just pure heaven. This was a fast but amazing read. You are hooked right away. You get the perfect mixture of romance and comedy. I love that we got to see characters from the Casanova Family Series and Falling for the Grouch. Definitely all MUST READS! I can’t wait for what’s to come! 🔥
Mark is a cheesy flirty guy whom the ladies love and is misunderstood for a playboy. He meets his match in Mac, who is not only immune to his cheesey lines but also has good comebacks, so the banter slash sexual tension is just off the charts. Some of the lines were hilarious! And Mac's comebacks even better! Mac is a strong passionate woman who loves her family but works hard because she feels like she has something to prove.
They are a great couple and I really loved how perfect they were for each other because they really saw past each other's fake smiles.
I really enjoyed reading this book, it was short and sweet with well developed characters and not too much drama which is exactly how I like my books. I love the dual POV but also the way she writes the POV, some of it is directed like speaking to the reader. IMHO she is a fantastic writer.
This was my first Carolina Jax book and after this I just had to read Falling for the Grouch because I liked the other characters in this book (especially Dash and Summer) so much I wanted more of them. I also like that there is some overlap in the books, as in it's the same scene but from different POVs. Fun! I will definitely be reading more of her books!

A forbidden work place romance, sign me up and take my money!
You met Mark previously in the Falling for a Grouch novella. He’s a playboy HOT IT guy for the North Pole university in Candy Cane Key. Enter Mackenzie, their first run in is at the local tea shop. Mackenzie calls him on his pick up lines and just like myself , Mark was just as dumb founded with her out of the ball park come backs are fantastic. It completely caught him off guard.
Through the whole book, which is most definitely a page turner you follow their feelings and figuring out how to navigate their feelings.
Mackenzie is hiding a big secret from Mark and is scared on how he would react. Mark is the ultimate playboy with lines for days.
He lives to make people happy and smile but his home life is something he is trying to find forever.
This is fantastic, it will have you laughing and crying by the end because of how it ends. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.
I love the Man of the Month books because they are the perfect short romance books. Visiting Candy Cane Key again was great and Mark was such a fun guy!
“Mackenzie, no lines. I will always have a thing for you.”
Mark is a relentless flirt, using every cheesy pick up line he can think of and he was hilarious. Mack is the new cheerleading coach at North Pole University and having been warned about Mark is already on guard. Every pick up line he throws at her she expertly shuts it down. Their banter was great and I just loved them together.
It was great to see Dash, Summer and Jameson again. I’m looking forward to when Jameson gets his book! Thank you @carolinajax_author for the ARC! Release Date: July 24, 2023 Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥: “That’s me you’re full of. Say it. Say it’s me.”
So this was a super fast novella and full of hilarious pick up lines, funny banter between friends, a little spice and a lot of fun!!!
This is a forbidden love RomCom. The 2 mc’s work at the same college and He is off limits per her father who is the Dean, because he thinks he knows Mark… but he eventually finds out he was all wrong.
The deans daughter “Tink” is forbidden to be with or talk to this man, upon her being hired on, but once she lays her eyes on him she falls for his funny personality and dumb jokes.
This was a great read - super adorable characters and some throw back characters from previous books of Carolinas, drop in for an appearance.
Another Great job by Carolina Jax
Forbidden Love Forced proximity Workplace romance Funny banter

“On the Dean’s Naughty List” by Carolina Jax was an adorable and spicy forbidden workplace romance that I absolutely loved. Mark is known as a playboy around the small town of Candy Cane Key, but as soon as he meets Mackenzie, the new head cheer coach at the university, he can’t stop thinking about her. As for Mackenzie, she’s been warned to stay away from Mark, but she soon realizes that he’s one of the only people who truly sees her. I loved Mark and Mackenzie’s relationship, I’m not a huge fan of insta love but this particular novella was such a wonderful take on the trope. Mark is so much more than the town gives him credit for, and I’m really glad Mackenzie decided to give him a chance. I also loved that Mark was always respectful of Mackenzie’s wishes, and he was proud of her for her accomplishments. Their banter was also amazing, and I couldn’t stop laughing as I was reading this. I definitely recommend!!!
Let me start by saying I absolutely loved this story! Adored the name of the town and college. Mark and Mackenzie are the best and their connection was perfect, along with the right amount of steam.
Mark is a hot IT guy who works at the University. He is also known as the biggest playboy. He runs into Mackenzie at the local tea shop and tried to give her his best lines but she has already been warned about him. She also has a secret she is keeping.
The banter between this two was fantastic! Mackenzie gave as good as Mark gave.
This book had me laughing out loud. And the ending! I loved it!
We find ourselves back in Candy cane key. Mark is a big flirt who loves the ladies. He has been tagged as the playboy. Mackenzie is the new cheerleader coach at the University and the Dean’s daughter. Her father has warned her to stay away from Mark but she finds herself drawn to him. Can Mark become a one woman man? Will Mackenzie believe the town gossip? This is such a great quick read. I love the banter between the main characters. Mark is a harmless flirt who just wants everyone to feel good. Mackenzie is just trying to prove herself. Expect instalove, flirting, humor, friendship, and steam. I would recommend this quick read.

What a fun read. This story follows the characters of Mark who is known for being a huge flirt & Mackenzie she’s a character who is on the fence about Mark plus they also work at the same University. These two characters banter made for a fun read for me as the reader. It had just enough steam & spice as well. It was fun reading about the feelings they both collectively felt toward one another. It was a short, sweet book. It gave the reader all the emotions and had plenty of laughs as well. Really enjoyed this book by the Author.
I loved On the Dean's Naughty List: A Man of the Month Club Novella. I loved Candy Cane Key. This time we have Mackenzie and Mark. He’s the town flirt and every girl want shine but he’s only got eyes for the new cheerleading coach, Mackenzie. She knows she shouldn’t believe his lines but she can’t help falling. But turns out both have secrets only Mark shares his and Mackenzie doesn’t. This could spell trouble. I loved the storyline and the characters. Marks pride for Mackenzie was so sweet. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

I loved this short story! It follows Mark, an IT whizz with a playboy reputation, as he pursues Mackenzie, the new cheerleader coach. She has heard about him and has been warned off him, but is all the gossip wrong? Has he just not found the right woman
With cheesy pick up lines and so many eye rolls towards the MMC, this story will have you laughing from the start.

Mark is hilarious! Fun, flirty and very dirty he finds his match in Mackenzie, she is sassy, fast with zinging quips and has him speechless more than once, she's his perfect woman! You cannot help but smile as the two of them verbally spar. This is a great addition to the series and it was awesome to catch up with Dash, Summer and Jameson too. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
On the Dean's Naughty List is part of the Man of The Month, Christmas in July series. It takes place in Candy Kane Key. It is a short, super-steamy, instalove, sports romance. MacKenzie is the new head coach of Cheerleading at North Pole University. Mark is a hunky playboy who works in the IT department at the same university. The two are instantly drawn to one another, but MacKenzie is worried about her job being jeopardized by an office romance. Mark is a flirty playboy with a heart of gold and a reputation that is not true. I loved this story. The banter and cheesy pick-up lines were hysterical. The chemistry was insane and we do end up with a great HEA after a little angst. Loved it!!.

This is my first book by Carolina Jax and when I saw the Candy Cane Key series in the cover, I knew I had to take a chance. I’m so glad I did. The story had me hooked from the start. Mark is seen a a player but really he’s a big flirt who likes to make people laugh and feel good about themselves. When he meets Mackenzie and uses all his lines on her, he’s surprised when she gives him one liners in response. Mackenzie is new on campus and trying to prove herself as the new cheerleader coach. She wants to be seen for herself and not who she’s related too. These two are perfect together with their witty banter and as they see who each other really is. A match made in heaven. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a Man Of The Month Christmas in July Candy Cane Key Series starring Mark and Mackenzie. Drama and a few secrets but one sweet lover man that has the worlds biggest heart and the best personality ever. I loved how these two meet and Mackenzie takes Mark on with his come backs. I loved how well this couple makes loving each other look so easy. What a great love story.

If you are looking for a quick, short read with a dash of spice this is a great choice. It is a stand-alone but you get a little bit extra if you read Falling for the Grouch first. I love how flirty and fun Mark is and how you get to see him slowly chip away at “Tink” and get to her heart…and into her panties. I also loved the Bring it on reference.
Thank you Carolina Jax for another wonderful story.
The MMC had a way with words. It's like he knows all the cheesy lines in this world. He's flirty and fun. He even made me smile, a reader. But what is amazing with him is that he is a good man and he loves the FMC wholeheartedly.

Mark is the campus smooth talker, loves women, over the flirt. He’s got a reputation but it’s not what it seems. The Dean hates him but that’s ok, he just stays out of the way. Mackenzie is the new cheer coach, she’s tiny, tough and has a bit-back for every line Mark tries. She’s also got a secret that could wreck them once she finally gives in to his charm. Sweet, sassy, steamy, witty banter, humour and a great HEA.

Mark is considered a “playboy” and always had a line. That is until he meets MacKenzie and she gives it right back to him. They work at the same university and she’s keeping a secret that she’s the deans daughter. This was a quick read and had plenty of laughs. I loved seeing how they worked through their feelings for each other.
This book was so funny! I loved MacKenzie and Mark!! His one-liners had me laughing through the whole book!!! It was a spicy novella too! I can't wait to read more of these!

A quick wonderful and charming addition to the Candy Cane Key series. The notorious town playboy meets his challenge in the form of the tiny feisty cheer coach. Fun storyline filled with friendship, chemistry, witty pick up lines, banter, secrets, worry, a bit of drama, steamy moments, and love. HEA.
