This was literally the first comic I've read in my entire life. I really liked it! It was different and refreshing and I'm just obsessed with Deadpool right now so! I didn't love the romance aspect but the art was cool and the plot was enjoyable. Lots of Deadpool being Deadpool which I loved. It was good!
But seriously, this is a solid book. Deadpool is funny but not too vulgar, supporting cast rocks (especially Jeff), it was a satisfying read. I especially enjoyed the Krakoa issue. Even the King in Black tie in was decent, and tie ins are often rough.
This was one of the best Deadpool runs I’ve ever read. It only took me so long because I started it and then put it down for 8 days.
This deserved 30 more issues it goes up there with Cable & Deadpool and Posehn’s run. The addition of the monsters, Elsa Bloodstone, and Jeff were perfect. I just want more and I’m sad I won’t have more Kelly’s writing. Plus the art was fun and at times adorable.
Also making Elsa Bloodstone and Deadpool be working together is like a fan fiction I would write. I adore both of those characters so much. Near perfect run of Deadpool shame it got canceled after 10 issues but apparently this a hot take.
What's not to love about Wade being the king of monsters, while carrying around Jeff the Land Shark? TW for violence, death, funerals, murder, blood, gore, guns, cancer mentions (including mentioning it's not curable).
