Would have enjoyed this a lot more had the audiobook been read by somebody who:
1. Knew how to pronounce Mesoamerican names
2. Did not have the most unnatural cadence I've ever heard in my life.
3. Did not also sound like Goofy from Mickey Mouse.

It would have made me put this book up if it was even a minute longer than its runtime. Overall a fine resource for getting reacquainted with the bones of Teotihuacan, but by no means an 'enthralling overview'.

My interest in Teotihuacan was piqued about a year ago when reading about how this mysterious city in central Mexico influenced the Aztecs and Toltecs, so I was eager to read more about it. This book did not disappoint! It unpacks much information about this enormous metropolis – the largest in the western hemisphere and the 6th-largest in the world, built over 2000 years ago. The level of urban planning and the city’s egalitarian spirit is mind-blowing, especially for that point in history in the Americas. The book does a fantastic job of drawing from all the research yet presenting the material in an interesting way. This is a terrific book for anyone planning a trip to Mexico, for history buffs, and for students.

Excellent humanity way to conquered and bringing together different cultures. Magnificent engineering and planning of the city infrastructure and the organisation of the people's h harmony of leaving. Most important the existing knowledge before the European invasion.
