Toujours. Aztán találkozik ezzel a gyönyörű nővel, aki a testi örömöknél nem akar semmi többet. Mauricio nagyon jól tudja, hogyan részesítse Wrent élete legőrültebb, legvadabb ötéjszakás kalandjában, de persze semmi komoly. Csakhogy minél hevesebben lángol kettejük közt a tűz, annál nehezebb Mauriciónak eszébe idézni a saját szabályait.

Vajon kettejük sorsa arra rendeltetett, hogy szeressék egymást, vagy hogy örökre összetörjenek?

Mauricio and Wren were ridiculously cute together and I loved it. Wren was a little self conscious and shy at times, but when she opened up and started rambling about something it really showed how amazing her characters was. And it would also lead to a lot of adorable moments where Mauricio would just stare at her as she talked so passionately about something. It was swoon worthy how much he adored her.

I thought the book was set at a really good pace and I loved that we got so much time with Mauricio and Wren in Paris. That's where the majority of the book was set and it had so many cute moments that we then got to see mixed with the very steamy ones when Wren found her inner sex-kitten.

Overall, this is definitely a book I would recommend reading. It can technically be read as a standalone and when it comes to the Romano family there isn't any problem with reading this book before Mauricio's brother's, which came first. However, I am still confused about the parts that are thrown into this series with Dominic Corisi. I understand the direction the author is moving in with that storyline but in my opinion it doesn't meld well with these books considering these characters don't meet or even personally know Dominic.

5 - "It’s good to have goals…" stars!

I discovered Ruth’s writing through the first book in the Corisi Billionaire’s series; The Broken One which not only introduced us to the Romano family with Sebastian & Heather’s story, but it also introduced me to Dominic Corisi and his daughter Judy.

I enjoyed TBO so much that I read the author’s Legacy Collection Series in which Dominic is the main character in the first book but he also features heavily throughout the rest of the series, and from that point I added a new book boyfriend to my list (which if I am being honest happens rarely nowadays) as well as an author, who I know I will be reading for many, many years to come.

I am glad I took the time to read Dominic’s series before starting The Wild One because all signs point to them being very close bedfellows if the way this one ended and the hints that were dropped along the way are anything to go by.

I’d come to Paris looking for who I was. I hadn’t expected to meet someone who would make me want to be more than I’d ever been…

Wren and Mauricio’s story was an absolute winner for me, I started it before work, and finished it before bed, so take out that pesky work thing, then you can say I read it in one sitting. Loved the start where they meet in Paris, and the end when Mauricio went from ‘player to stayer’ had my heart all a-flutter!

I just hope Ruth has mad typing skillz because I am already desperate to get my hands on the rest of the series!

Let me preface this by saying, this was my first Ruth Cardello book. I feel like I have accidentally stepped into a magical world in the middle of the story. I am absolutely ecstatic to be here, but I clearly need to start at the beginning. I don’t think that an average reader will have a hard time as reading this as a stand alone. However there are obvious clues that I am missing stuff, and that never sits well with me. I need the whole story. Especially because the writing was flawless and the story intriguing.

The world building in this book was phenomenal. I fell in love with Paris seeing it through the eyes of an engineer. I also fell in love with the Ramano family. Even though there are skeletons in the closet that I haven’t uncovered yet, (Again, I am totally going back to the beginning) I absolutely loved them.

The main two characters, Wren and Mauricio, were so well crafted. They are both believable, just flawed enough, but perfect for each other. This is not your typical bad boy meets good girl romance. It’s so much deeper. This is exactly the kind of story I love. There are lots of moving parts, some overt, some not so much.

I absolutely will be immersing myself in Ruth’s back catalog for a while. I feel as though I’ve found a new favorite!

I'm struggling to write a review for this one. It's apparently one in a series. The prologue and the finale involved a character who never appeared in the rest of the book. So why was he there? I found this both confusing and annoying, since it clearly required you read a series and I dislike being forced into that!

What can I say about the rest of the book? Well, on the positive side, it was a pleasant enough little romance with some sexy bits thrown in and was not badly written.

However, it never really grabbed me. I thought the plot was rather pedestrian and with under-developed characters it meant that when I'd finished, I could barely remember anything I'd read. Sorry, but if I was on holiday lying under a parasol, this would probably have passed an hour or two quite easily but it was nothing particularly exciting. If you like undemanding and predictable easy reading, this is okay. Not for me, I'm afraid.

The Wild One by Ruth Cardello is book Two in the Corisi Billionaires Series. This is the story of Mauricio Romano and Wren Heath. I have read the previous book which added to my enjoyment of this one but I did feel you could probably make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Wren has taken some time to meet her friend Cecile in Paris which will allow her a vacation. Cecile has warned her that Mauricio is a good time guy that loves them and leaves them so she should avoid getting her hopes on him. But Wren finds that she would love just to do a total break from her good girl lifestyle and have some hot encounters with Mauricio in the few days she will be in Paris. Mauricio knows that Wren is totally different from the women he gives his time to and hopes that she doesn't form an attachment to him. But then he starts to form his own attachment to something and someone he never thought he would every really do. Enjoyed their story.

So straight lace Wren Heath is visiting Paris and decides to live it up, have a little fun, go completely opposite of her tame calm life. Who better for a walk on the wild side that a sexy playboy billionaire, Mauricio Romano. Oh how I love the Romano men!!!

Mauricio is all about showing the ladies a good time. But Wren is sweet, innocent and Mauricio fears she'll get too attached and he went be able to break free of the fling without breaking her heart. But what if his heart gets involved, then what?!!

This fun adventure in Paris was sweet and sexy and a riot! I enjoyed their interaction and enthusiasm for the sights and one another. But when Wren is called away unexpectedly things get sticky. Mauricio thinks she's just left and Wren is dealing with things where she cannot think of her own life.

I loved how the families come together, again, to help our this destined love.

Love this adventure with Dominic!!

I like Ruth Cardello's book and from the ones that I have read she tends to have a whole family and coming from a big family that is involved in everything I like that. I liked Wrenand this she wasn't the norm of what Mauricio tended to go for, however he still wants her and the no string situation. But you and I know that the no-string tends to turn into a whole ball of yarn. He gets stupid and realizing that he erred has to correct it before he loses what he never knew he wanted nor needed. But my regret I again-lord what is happening to me started with this one, how could I have not known or more likely forgotten that this is the second book in series, and you know I need to know everything I am nosy like that-again coming from a big family it a given..Anyhoo can't wait til the next one and when am I every going to find more hours in the day to read, read, read!

Wren doesn't beat around the bush, “and just to get this out there, if anything does happen between us— you are absolutely wearing a condom.” Im pretty sure Mauricio is nervous around his woman at times, “that’s a very specific threat”— he pulled at the neck of his shirt—“and a man’s package is nothing to joke about breaking.” I liked this book, I liked Mauricio.

4.5 Stars for The Wild One book 2 in the Corisi Billionaires Series.
I enjoyed book 1 but Wren Heath and Mauricio Romano’s story took me to a whole different level and once I picked this book up there was no putting down, the characters intrigued me and I loved getting to know them. It was only meant to be a fling and they were meant to leave their feelings in Paris.....
Wren and Mauricio are both a little bit flawed but that adds to their charm and as you get to know the sometimes shy Wren I’m sure like me you will be thinking I would love a bestie like her and what can I say about the charming, swoon worthy bad boy who does everything in his power to woo his girl apart from I’m sure you will fall big time for him. This author really paints pictures with her words and the way she describes Paris has you feeling like you are part of this bad boy meets good girl romance. I loved the new characters we met and I loved catching up with a few friendly faces from the past and I really can’t wait to see where we go next with this great series

You can’t get much better than this Ladies superb books .

All of them make one excellent and stunning world of beautiful characters and stories.

This is Mauricio and Wren , with a few additional chapters with Dominic Corisi .

The only bad part of the book is turning the last page , because then you know your back to waiting for the next book .

Excellent stuff. Five big stars!

First book that I have read from this author. It was an ok read for me. Standalone in the series so if you don’t read the first book you are not missing anything. Good characters and story that will keep you interested but it does read a little predictable.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The Wild One indeed! This book is aptly named because it’s waaaaay sexier than the first book in the series, and a whole lot of fun. It’s a love (or heavy lust) at first sight sort of story, where our couple falls hard and fast then builds on that connection. I’m not normally one to like an insta-love-style book, but the way this one plays out was certainly entertaining.

The story follows Mauricio, a charming guy with a wild past. He used to be a huge playboy but stepped away from that lifestyle while his family was in need. Now that things are better at home, he’s at a crossroads - does he return to his old ways, or find a different way to live? While visiting Paris, he meets Wren, a woman who has a lot of family responsibilities at home and is looking from a break from her daily burdens. Sparks fly between them instantly, and what starts as a purely sexual connection evolves into something deeper. Wren doesn’t let Mauricio get away with his smooth-talking ways, and Mauricio doesn’t let Wren get weighed down by life. They couldn’t be more different, but something about them just works. The only problem? They’re both on vacation, and will have to get back to reality at some point.

I’ll be honest and say that I don’t really love sex without feelings in my reads, so I didn’t have high hopes for this - but it exceeded my expectations. Mauricio may come off as aggressively sexual (and he is), but there’s more to him than that and feelings were involved before their clothes ever hit the floor. I loved how much time was spent on their first days together, so that the reader can really see the connection there before moving forward. That means that the end of the book felt a bit rushed, but it’s sort of worth it to see everything play out at the beginning. This book does focus a lot on the sexual relationship between them, so be prepared for a lot of laughs, one totally original meet cute, and plenty of heat. And I’ve gotta mention that prologue - if you’re new to the author’s work, the prologue will have little to no connection to this story, but will have plenty of meaning to longtime fans. Feel free to ignore it and move forward with the story. I received an ARC via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review of this sexy, fun romance.

This is my second book in this series and my second series (Westerly Billionaires) by this author and she did not disappoint. The hero Mauricio ,in trying to cover for his friend Felix, was tasked with the unpleasant directive to evict a friend from his bachelor pad and in so doing came upon Wren, the other main character. It was truly hilarious what happened to send Felix to the hospital, didn't know that was a thing.Wren and Mauricio , after a brief period of dissent embarked on a Parisian fling, at which point I questioned the quickness with which Wren abandoned her prudeness to completely engage in this tryst.Admiration abound for the friendship between Wren and Rachel whose frankness seem to be just what Wren needed.Familial loyalty was very evident when they all came together to fix Mauricio's love life and in the process embarked on a venture that could revolutionize the industry and change people's lives. Not sure that Wren's father's situation, while heart-breaking, added anything of value to the plot as I believe the outcome would have been the same without it.Still trying to figure out Judy's angle in the series considering not a lot of clues have been given for any clear connection to be made and the family tree is suspiciously unhelpful.Definitely a book worth reading and an author worth following. Thanks to Netgalley for this ARC.

Ruth Cardello’s ‘The Wild One’ is a fun, sexy romp that packs a whole lot of heart. When Mauricio meets Wren in Paris, he feels an instant attraction that he can’t quite explain. So when they mutually decide to have a hot Parisian fling (something way outside of Wren’s norm), they both discover there might be feelings beyond lust that are involved.

This is the first Cardello novel that I have read, and while it mostly works as a standalone, I feel like reading her prior related works might be helpful in understanding a couple of the chapters that feature a character named Dominic. But if you’ve read her other novels, I feel like these chapters will make sense and add interest to the overarching arc of the series. I plan to go back and do some more reading to fill in some of these gaps.

In all, I feel like Cardello is a great storyteller who doesn’t shy away from heavier topics (PTSD, depression) without going about them in a way that feels gimmicky or inauthentic. The chemistry between Wren and Mauricio is also palpable and thoroughly entertaining. If you’re already a Cardello fan, ‘The Wild One’ won’t disappoint. And if you’re new to her work, you’ll find yourself wanting to read more.

I loved this book. Wren was a different sort of girl for Mauricio, but he still asks for a fling. He’s not into relationships. But could she be his “one”? Loved how they were both so close to their families and that he wants his family to meet her. He does mess up with her, can he get her to give him another chance? Had some happy tears as he shows her his plans for her future and how she can work with her Dad. It’s a very touching story. Can’t wait for more, I need to know what happens with Dominic’s family in the next book. Will he get to know his family in Italy? I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy through NetGalley and I highly recommend this book.

The Wild One (Corisi Billionaires #2) by: Ruth Cardello

Instant heat or slow simmering. With those Romano men, you never know what to expect. Sebastian was a brooding mass of contradictions and Mauricio is a charmer with his own brand of baggage to work through. Well played, Ruth Cardello. The Corisi Billionaires series is turning out to be a beautiful surprise. There's always a twist you never saw coming and a few familiar faces litter the canvas from more than one fabulous Cardello series. Two lost souls find themselves in the city of love. Mauricio and Wren will take emotions on a magical escapade that ranges from instant lust to soulful yearning and oh, so much more. Cardello aims high and has yet to miss the mark when it comes to stealing hearts.

Another great story in this series! I loved the way Mauricio and Wren met. So unique and funny. These two had sizzling chemistry. I really enjoyed their Parisian affair. Even though it was supposed to be brief, I could feel the way it grew into more. They were both stubborn in their own ways, but I liked how they tried to overcome all of the things that held them back. As always, I love Dominic Corisi and the drama he brings to a story. I am excited to see where things lead with his family secrets.

Loved reading the awesome and amazing romance story. When Wren goes to Paris to meet her friend, Cecile, she didn't expect to meet a charismatic, handsome man, Mauricio. Cecile warns Wren that Mauricio is a player and to stay away from him, but Wren decides to let her heart be broken and spends an unforgettable week with him. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, engaging storyline, and captivating storyline, and a must read love story.

I love Paris, and I loved the way Mauricio and Wren explored the city and fell in love with it as well as with each other. Never mind their initial "dinner, but not dinner" meeting! I think the Romano's are an awesome family and as with book one, the side characters are just as interesting as the main characters. Can't wait for more in the series and for Dominic to come into play!

Parisian Chemistry!

The Wild One by Ruth Cardello is the second book in the Corisi Billionaire Series, but it’s the first one that I’ve read and I had no trouble jumping right in on this steamy stand-alone. We get some hints of the back story and the ongoing threads that connect the series – enough to understand what’s going on but not enough to be tedious if you’ve read other books – perfect!

This story is about a chance meeting-turned vacation fling-turned great love between Wren and Mauricio. I really loved Wren’s character. She’s loyal, smart, sassy and fun. She has made up her mind that she’ll go all out enjoying her week in Paris, and she sets about to do exactly that. She meets Mauricio along the way via a “friend of a friend” encounter, and they have instant chemistry on both sides. Seeing Paris through Wren’s eyes renews his enjoyment for the City of Love, and the two have an idyllic and amazing week together. When Wren has an emergency that forces her to leave unexpectedly, she’s so caught up in what’s going on at home that she doesn’t handle it well when she and Mauricio part. Thanks to family members who are determined to make this match happen, they eventually find their way to their HEA.

I was hooked from the start – no putting this book down! Ms. Cardello does an amazing job pulling the reader into her stories and painting incredibly vivid and detailed pictures. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, your e-reader might smoke a little bit – this book has it all! I’m excited to meet some of the rest of Mauricio’s family as well, and am excited to return to Book 1 and check out Sebastian’s story.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher, I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. I can’t wait for the next book!

Wren has decided that it is time for her to make some changes in her life and start having the experiences she has only dreamed about. Going to Paris for vacation was a big step but deciding to have an affair with a sexy stranger was a leap she never saw coming.

Mauricio has always enjoyed the fun and freedom of his bachelor lifestyle however when his family needed him, he was there for them. When his friend asked him to come to Paris he meets Wren and they decide to spend a week enjoying Paris but when real life intrudes will their fling turn into forever?

This is a sweet and sexy story about two people who bring out the best in each other. He teaches her how to have fun and embrace new experiences and she shows him that finding a person who not only understands you but completes you is the greatest gift of all.

Breathtaking Parisian fling turns into forever!

Wren and Mauricio meet at the home of a mutual friend in Paris, and to say that sparks fly instantly is like saying Paris is a nice little city. These two are quickly in way over their heads; Wren doesn't do casual relationships but just can't resist the chemistry with Mauricio, while he's never even considered anything but casual with anyone yet he finds himself calling his dad for advice on how to make this permanent. It's a beautiful, whirlwind romance that incorporates the city's landmarks every step of the way. I've read a lot of books set in Paris, but seeing it through Wren's eyes was a real treat.

The real crux of any relationship is how it fares after the initial start-up phase, and for Wren and Mauricio, who are both at a crossroads in their respective careers, finding their path forward is more complex than just admitting their feelings for each other. I really enjoyed the "cow" that Mauricio arranged; it was inventive, original, and absolutely perfect for the situation. Their HEA was melty-sweet and very satisfying.

As with the previous book, this one has a couple seemingly unconnected chapters related to Dominic Corisi's family history, but most of the story is the romance between Wren and Mauricio. There are a couple foreshadowing clues dropped throughout the book that alert readers will easily piece together, and I am really looking forward to reading more in this series to see how this storyline develops. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Paris, Paris... 💙 💙 💙

I am absolutely loving this series and the men in the Romano family. This time it is Mauricio’s turn to realise that his prior playboy ways don’t seem quite as fun when the boot is on the other foot, and I just loved Wren.

I also have to say that the undercurrent of the Corisi family secrets is literally KILLING me. I am all kinds of agog as I read about young Judy Corisi, whose active and tenacious brain causes both pride and pain in her father as she forces him to remember the childhood he wishes to forget. So, what an earth is going on, and how is the Corisi family connected to Sebastian and Mauricio Romano???

I’m taking notes like a demon, and making lists! I want to try and figure out the connection before the information is handed out to us, but like all authors, Ruth Cardello will reveal all in her own time. Another 5 Star fun, witty and hot read 💙

Wren Heath hadn’t had a vacation away from her parents in years so she decides to go to Paris to visit her friend and do some sightseeing. While there she meets Mauricio Romano who has a reputation for being a player on the dating scene. They decide to give it a go with a week of no strings attached five days and five nights. Things definitely heat up and while Mauricio brings out the sex goddess in Wren, he also realizes that he might want more than a week of being with her. When she has to rush home, Mauricio thinks she doesn’t feel the same as he does and is devastated. It takes a little help from family to get these two to realize a week in Paris is just the beginning of what could be something wonderful.

As always this author writes a wonderful love story, with crazy and funny family thrown in for good measure. I love getting to know the new characters in Ms. Cardello’s books and love when she lets us catch a glimpse at what previous characters from previous books are up to – in this case, Dominic Corisi, who is one of my most favorite heroes in my book world. Wren and Mauricio are such a good balance for a hero and heroine, neither being too overbearing, but bringing out the best in each other. The plot is strong; there is humor and fun secondary characters and a very well pulled together ending. I loved this story and am anxious for the next one in this series.

This is the second book in the series - I would definitely recommend that you read the books in order to get the full picture. There is an underlying 'mystery' which is being uncovered by Dominic ... and no doubt we will get more in future installments. The hints are there, but actually, you could still very much enjoy the story and just put those elements on the side for now.

Wren makes a decision to take a chance and risk a short holiday romance whilst in Paris. Maurice is most definitely someone who can make it the very best type of risk. He is all about no strings, yet when she is the one who leaves, before he is ready, then the tables are turned on him, and he has to take the biggest risk of all. It was fun to see them enjoy the pleasures of Paris, even if tinged with the danger of emotions becoming involved in a brief affair. As we get to understand that somehow Cardello is going to make it all work out right - we just have to be patient. I am also looking forward to seeing how Dominic's discoveries affect the Corisi family.

I was so looking forward to Mauricio's story! And Ms. Cardello didn't disappoint.

This is the story of Mauricio and Wren.  A chance meeting in the romantic city of Paris. Their chemistry sparking like sparklers on the fourth of July!

Wren is an amazing heroine! She is smart, she is sassy and she is loyal! I love that her filter is paper-thin and she has a habit of blurting out whatever comes to mind! I like how she kept Mauricio on his toes and kept surprising him!

Mauricio oh my me...this hero has all the elements of a swoony fella! He was brutally honest (or so he thought) at the beginning of the vacation fling with Wren.

The secondary characters and the way both families meddled was fantastic and brought so much more to the story.  I also loved the secondary story and how the whole Corsini and Romano families are connected.  I am hoping for more secrets revealing in future stories!

You get humor, heat and most importantly heart in this story, love for family and love for each other.  I am so becoming a fan of Ruth Cardello's stories! I can't wait to read more!
