So much fluff, there was a lot that wasn’t explained well, and some easy cheat sheets would have helped a ton and only would’ve taken like 5 minutes to write, but still wasn’t a bad book. Will still probably need some YouTube tutorials but the DIY projects at the end are a nice touch

Fantastic, informative book!
This book is really thorough and gives clear explanations and instructions. I feel like I'm ready to start growing mushrooms at home. My only very minor complaint is that I wish the book had more pictures to show what some of the equipment looked like. Regarding the chapter on how to make a spore print, I got this neat idea using spore prints to make art. I am specifically interested in how to grow shiitake mushrooms cheaply at home, and this book detailed 3 different ways. Don't worry, they also cover oyster, button, lion's mane, etc. Anyways, read this book. I learned a lot!

Did you know you can grow mushrooms in straw, grains, coffee, sawdust, or manure? I didn’t either until reading this book. Excellent read for someone on a journey to sustainability and looking to expand their growing practices.

Very comprehensive
This book covered all the basics with enough detail that I feel confident I can grow mushrooms at home. A glossary and a list of tools and where to find them would have been a helpful addition.
