The Obesity Unlocking The Secrets of Weight Loss Book SummaryTrying your best to lose weight by eating less and exercising more but not seeing the results you are hoping for?
Don’t Worry!
The book “The Obesity Unlocking The Secrets of Weight Loss” by Dr Jason Fung lets you in on the inner workings and mechanics of weight gain, shedding much needed light on why the traditional teachings on diets and weight loss simply do not work. He shows us through evidence based studies why “eating less” does not necessarily lead to weight loss, and “moving more” contributes less significantly to fat burn than what we had initially thought.

Dr Jason Fung leads you in on the critical factors which contribute to the obesity build up in the population, while clearly pointing out what we have got to do in order to shed the excess weight… for good!
This book holds a detailed, comprehensive summary of the original book by Dr Jason Fung and it succinctly collates all the important facts into easy-to-remember points for quick and effective understanding of the original work, so that you can hit the ground running and start to see the benefits from The Obesity Code in the shortest possible time! This short summary gives us all the key points from “The Obesity Code.” First of all, what we think we know about weight gain may not all be true. Like the book says, calories are not the ultimate cause of weight gain (or loss). Also, inherited factors only contribute to 70% of our bias to becoming obese; the other 30% is all about the factors we can control. But that doesn’t necessarily give us the answers to what we should do to manage our weight. We need calories for energy and bodily processes like breathing. So what do we do? Definitely avoid sugar and processed foods. But always keep in mind that there is no single cause for obesity. There are several factors involved, and we have to be aware of how these factors interact.
Eat less and move more is not the solution to weight loss
I love the work of Dr Jason Fung. He brings the simple mechanisms of weight loss and weight gain to light in a concise manner. Actually weight loss is not simple, especially for a woman where hormones reign supreme! He reminds us that Calorie in, calorie out is not the solution for losing weight. I totally recommend this book and check out all of his other contributions as well! He actually gives solutions that make sense and yields results.
I was actually surprised at some of the content in here. No one has ever addressed the link between obesity and genetics, or even pointing out good sweeteners. Anything aside from what calories you eat and how much you work out is basically unheard of. This summarized book points out a lot of good stuff that probably hasn't crossed a lit of minds yet.
