Dad Bod Dom had me two paragraphs in. Kelsey and Logan's meet cute? Hilarious. I had no intentions of DNF'ing and I hadn't even made it a quarter of the way through the first chapter.
Kelsey and Logan had an instant, glorious attraction and I enjoyed seeing the strengthening of Kelsey's confidence as the story progressed. Kelsey was hilarious, and real, and Logan's admiration and support of her was so refreshing; she was a woman who focused on anyone but herself and Logan made her a priority without criticizing or demeaning her.
I will say that a large portion of this story felt like more of a montage of our couple's relationship than an actual immersive experience of it. There were a few strong, detailed scenes that held the humor that grabbed me from the start, but for the most part Dad Bod Dom felt like a speed read. That is not at all a negative thought, considering I found this such an easy, effortless read, the story itself was still well-written and really enjoyable.
Dad Bad Dom had an exciting end that added an anticipatory edge to an otherwise drama-free read, it was a surprising element but a successful one, and I think it was an excellent finish to the story.
Also, the Bonus Epilogue??? For me, it had to be the sexiest part of Dad Bod Dom. It displayed more of the Daddy Dom sexual dynamic whereas most of the novella portrayed Logan in more of a Daddy Dom caretaking role. Both displayed facets of the kink were enjoyable and I'm happy that we got to see more than just the bedroom dynamic.
Overall, if you enjoy spicy, sweet, guaranteed HEA's in a short, heartfelt package, you'll enjoy Dad Bod Dom.

This book has just the right amount of spice, plot, and suspense for me to never know what is going to happen next. This was my first book by this author and I’m definitely going to read some of her other work and hope that it’s as good as this!

This was a really fun short read filled with the perfect touches of humor, a few surprises, and super sexy heat!
After her messy divorce, Kelsey is a single mom who's just doing the best she can. Her days are crazy busy taking care of the needs of everyone else around her. Often leaving her to wonder how nice it would be let someone take care of her needs for a change.
From the moment she quite literally crashes into Logan at their kids school, there's an immediate insta-like between them that turns into an easy friendship.
Logan is hot, sweet, and this Alpha Daddy Dom would like nothing more than to give Kelsey some much needed TLC. He knows what she needs...wants and Logan is about to show her how to be his Good Girl.
This was just another great short and super spicy read that was off of the charts amazing! I loved the sweet flirtation between this couple and how under Logan's protective care, Kelsey blossomed becoming more confident and self assured. This book is short and spicy!
Kelsey and Logan meet when Kelsey stumbles on her way in to her daughters first parent teacher conference and Logan helps her. They goof off in the parent teacher conference together like teenagers and it's all over from there.
Kelsey is coming off a bad divorce with a man who didn't treat her very well. She's hard working but needs someone else to take control for her every once in a while, which she discovers thanks to Logan.
Logan has a very popular social media influence which leads to some issues down the road but he knows he wants to make Kelsey his baby girl from the moment they meet. Logan is an amazing book boyfriend to add to the collection!
Their kids are already good friends so they find themselves thrown together quite a bit and can't resist the pull they feel to one another.
There is some stalking in the book, so please take that into account if that's an issue for you.
Elyse has such a fun writing style and I can't wait to read more from her in the future!

Oh Boy I mean Daddy!
In this novella, we meet Kelsey is a single mom with a lot of people that rely on her. She is the go-to person at her job and works her ass off, but she never takes time for herself. In steps Logan, who is a single dad, whose son, Tommy, just so happens to be Kelsey's daughter, Katie's best friend. They meet cute is at a teacher conference because their kids are in the same class. I loved the bond the kids have. Logan is big on social media and has many admirers but, he only has eyes for Kelsey.
Kelsey and Logan chemistry is off the charts. This novella has a little bit of everything you need. The progression of this story is wonderful with spice, suspense, and a little bit of drama. I believe we all would like a Logan to give us a break and take care of us.

I don't normally read single parent books, but I've immensely enjoyed every book I've read by Elyse, so I took the chance.
Kelsey is a shy single mom with some insecurities after a divorce. Logan is the hot dad of her daughter's friend. So hot, in fact, that he gets harassed often. This lends some danger to their relationship, but nothing Logan can't handle.
The bedroom scenes are spicy, the writing—as always—is excellent, and as I often find with this author's books, I had a smile in my face throughout.
I very much enjoyed this fun quick read, and would gladly recommend it.

I loved Dad Bod Dom Dad Bod 2.0. Kelsey and Logan are getting to know each other after their kids are in class together, they met a year ago but didn’t connect like they are now. Logan knows what Kelsey needs, he’s a Daddy Dom, and he knows she will be the perfect t little girl. Things are going well foe these two, Kelsey is becoming more confident thanks to Logan and their kids get along better than ever. Unfortunately, when things seem to be going well a wrench is thrown at them. Will they be able to get past this unfortunate event? This was a great story and I just loved the characters. I would definitely recommend this book.

The heroine was so real/fun…I almost wished the book was longer (I needed more of their story)! Great novella overall - Definitely recommend if you love single dad with a filthy mouth 😉

I absolutely loved this steamy novella! It had everything and more I look for in an Elyse Kelly book. There's a hilarious meet cute, instant attraction between the MCs, all the spice (especially in that bonus epilogue), a wonderful plot, and amazing characters!
I could not get enough of this fast-paced, short read and I can't wait for more from Elyse Kelly especially if we get more of Logan.

This book is part of the Dad Bod 2.0 Series. The story is definitely a page turner and a must read the characters are lovable and their chemistry is on fire.

If you’re looking for a quick read that will make you smile, swoon, and has steam that will have you fanning yourself, then this is the book for you. I read it it in one sitting. I loved the chemistry between Logan and Kelsey, the cuteness of their kids Katie and Tommy, and the interactions between Kelsey and her best friend Natalie. Dad Bod Dom is a sweet novella length romance with a dose of spice. The romance progression is paced perfectly, and I really enjoy the best friend vibes this couple give off, while still being sexy and fun.
The conflict is written well, with just the right mix amount of foreshadowing. You get some nice little Easter Eggs along the way.

Where can I find my Daddy? Kelsey and Logan are just the most realistic characters that I have read in a while. I love how this story touch’s some bases of mental health, single parents and every day life with social media. This is a small town romance with a a twist. You will love these characters just as much as me!

Plot: Logan and Kelsey meet when they both show up for meet the teacher night and find that their kids are already friends. They are immediately taken with each other, but being a single parent is tough and Kelsey especially feels the difference between her lifestyle and the internet-famous Logan. But he'll do whatever it takes to make Kelsey believe that he is all in on their new relationship.
Commentary: At one point, Kelsey says "It’s not that I’m socially awkward or anxious, but I’m neurodivergent, so lots of small talk is exhausting for me, and I’m hypersensitive to noise and light." At this point, it feels like so many people online are saying they're neurodivergent and it has lost a lot of meaning. When she says this, what does that mean? Because what she describes is social anxiety. But then she says she's not anxious. Does she have an actual disorder or condition, or is she just a little overwhelmed but without an actual disability? Because there's a difference, and as the parent of an actual "neurodivergent" child, it's annoying to have explain to people that he actually has a disability, and no, it's not like the people online who make those videos, and yes it does seriously impact his everyday living, and no we're not all a little autistic. The vagueness, which I can only imagine was intentional, disrupted my understanding of the character. I know there are people who felt seen with that insert, but I guess I felt the opposite - it was obscuring and that felt a little manipulative.
That rant aside, I do like this author and will always read her entries in these multi-author series. I liked the sweetness of the story and the surprising dirty-talking hero.

Stats: CR, MF, open door (kink), part of a series but stands alone okay.
Notes: I'm so frustrated with this book - there were some really good parts - I loved the meet cute, I loved the two MCs being goofballs in the back of the classroom, I thought the kids were actually done pretty well, and although lacking almost any consent/kink conversation which I would have really appreciated (which would have made the MMC's behaviour feel less icky controlling and more hot controlling), I have a big issue with this book - It's got huge NLOG energy from both the FMC and the MMC - almost every other female character is evil, conniving or just so, so hot for the MMC. It felt like it was written by someone who really doesn't like women all that much and totally soured the rest of the story for me.

I LOVED this book. It was real and funishments and Logan and Kelsey. I couldn’t get enough. Logan helped Kelsey find herself in ways she never thought and just it was chef kiss. It was spicy and angsty and just a perfect day read. Maybe this will be a series?!? Give me Daddy any day!!

I loved this book when I first read it and WOW!!!! This audio is amazing! Both narrators did a fantastic job and Stephen as Logan had me swooning…hard. This was an amazing listen not just for content but a quickie and definitely worth it. These characters have had my heart for a long time and I relate so much to Kelsey. I think we all need someone to make sure we take care of ourselves and feel loved. You could definitely feel that throughout this audio.

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Logan and Kelsey met at school when they're going in for their kids parent-teacher conference. When Kelsey spills her coffee, Logan gets the door for her. They both find out that their kids are in the same classroom, then figure out their kids are best friends. Kelsey finds a desk in the back, and Logan joins her. They both have a hard time fitting into the small desks build for their children. Kelsey has to leave to get her daughter Katie, Logan tries to follow her but she runs out. Kelsey goes home and gets her daughter ready for bed, then calls her best friend. The next day Logan picks up his son Tommy to head to t-ball practice. Tommy and Katie are on the same team, and while they practice Logan and Kelsey talk. Kelsey takes Katie to a birthday party where there's loud noises all around her. Kelsey finds out the other parents are staying. Kelsey starts to have an anxiety attack so she goes outside. Logan passes Kelsey but she rushes past him. Logan find Kelsey leaning against her car, so he pulls her to him and hugs her telling her to just breathe. When Kelsey starts to feel better Logan takes her back inside the arcade and they play a few games. Logan messages Kelsey everyday when he wakes up, he tries to get to know her. Logan asks Kelsey out on a date, when they have a free weekend. Logan picks up Kelsey for their date and tries to open her door. Kelsey tries to pay for her meal but Logan tells her he'll take care of her. When Logan takes Kelsey to her house, he takes her to her bedroom and pleasure her. Logan tells Kelsey he'll take care of her, he's her daddy. At work Kelsey calls her best friend and talks to her about Logan. Kelsey finds out that Logan is on social media and he has a lot of woman following him. Kelsey's best friend warns her about a woman who makes comments on Logan's social media. Logan and Kelsey go out on a few more dates over the next few weeks, their children Tommy and Katie even tag along on a few dates. Logan wants to take care of Kelsey and he tries to make her understand that he wants to take the burden off her. When Logan and Kelsey's weekend line up together they make plans to spend it together. Logan. Single father to his son Tommy and social media celebrity best known for his shirtless pics.. He’s something everyone wants both online and in person. The other moms(and even his son’s teacher) don’t hide their feelings for him when he’s around.
Wanted by everyone. Only wants Kelsey.
Kelsey. Previously divorced single mother of Katie- who also happens to be Tommy’s best friend. Kelsey is a Senior Business Analyst that is always relied on, whether it be at work or at home. She’s constantly making decisions for everyone around her, putting herself last. Quite frankly, shes growing tired of it.
Logan and Kelsey come crashing into each others lives. Literally. It’s the night of their kids’ school conference, and they’re both running late. They spend the duration of the conference exchanging flirts back and forth like kids- their attraction to each other is instantaneous and absolutely noticeable. A few t-ball games later, they decide to hit a home run of their own.. 😏
He takes care of her in a way that she could have never imagined and always knows just what to say/do. He takes on majority of the decisions in her life to help ease her mind and ensures she’s putting herself first.. Something she hasn’t done in a very long time. If she doesn’t take care of herself like she should be, she knows there will be reprimands at the end of the day.(are you picking up what i’m putting down?)
This is my first read by Elyse Kelly, and it was honestly really great. Though it contained spicy bedroom scenes, it also delivered very wholesome family moments between the four.
Kelly did a phenomenal job in portraying an imperfect- bodied story. It isn’t often you see the main characters as heavier set and well desired. For that I must say bravo, Kelly, bravo.👏🏼
I was so bummed to see the story finished so soon(I read it in one sitting), but the epilogue AND bonus epilogue definitely delivered. They quite literally iced the cake that is the storyline.
If you want an easier read that has all of the spice, laughs and a little bit of stalking, this is the book for you!
