So Nyssa was kind enough to send me an arc for her soon to be released, and i legit ate this book.
The book consumed and it took me less that 48 hours to finish it. I loved every second of it and to be the part of the world Nyssa created with Alexander and Nicole(Also girl crushing over her sassy ass).

The whole relationship development b/w them have my heart. Also can we please talk about Justin(Nyssa would know who i was picturing as Justin in my head) his character development was on point.

Also can we talk about the WRITING, it was flawless and kept me hooked. All in all a must read and i can assure you, you won't be disappointed in the slightest.

Book comes out on August 1 :)

I would like to start off by saying, thank you so much Bubbles for the ARC copy. Really enjoyed reading it, it is one of the best books I have read so far. After dreadful, it was the best gift to readers.*whispering* I still haven't recovered from it. Bubbles has a knack to pull you into her rabbit hole, and we voluntarily jump in.To talk about this book, there are always some books you like or either you don't like. It might be because of the characters or writing in general. But, Bubbles always put everything in consideration. The writing style was different from her other books I have read. It was refreshing, her writing has evolved. The projection and emotions and build was framed so immaculately. If you are looking for a spicy adventure, this book is for you. Who wants to explore their freaky side without any judgment. It dealt with sensitive topics with care, which I really appreciate. Thank you once again, so proud of you bubbles💖

I had the privilege of being an ARC reader for "The S word" by Nysaa Winters.

As someone whose very pro- sex work, the synopsis had me trapped.

I will be honest I started reading this while getting tattooed and that may affect the way I review this story.

The first 30% feels a bit at your own pace. Sorry, tattoo brain..let me explain.

We're following Nova/Nicole whose a cam girl. Very sex positive, her followers are very positive.

An online user called "Guilty Purple" fans over her, turns out Guilty Purple is an online alas of another cam star who goes by "A".

As you guessed..the two intertwine.

As excited as I am to read a positive sex worker story, I feel like it was too quick for Alexander and Nicole to interact. I was always under the impression cam people always VETTED their partners..sometimes partners can be just as bad as stalkers.

Throw in the mix of an ex of Alexander's and the ex of Nicole's, the story plays with "his mine not yours". Sadly it does feel like it's under used with both exes.

As someone whose reading to distract herself from her own pain, I felt like my tattoo pain easily pulled me out of the story.

When I got to page 123 I thought the story had concluded, it felt like everything was tied up.

When it gets to the S word, it almost feels like a different story. Almost as if the first 132 pages weren't needed.

Another thing I noticed with this story is how quick is got over moments such as the leaked footage, history with her dad, exes. It felt like this just wanted to explore the characters kinks rather than the other stuff the author was trying yet struggling to set up and finish.

Nicole/Nova is a character that is relatable. She’s got past trauma, loss, lots of grief. She’s gone through situations many others have. I love her attitude & determination. She doesn’t hold back, even in the thick of things.

At first I wasn’t sure what I thought of A/Alexander. Some of the things he did at the beginning made me question his loyalty to Nicole. However, as I kept reading I ended up LOVING him. His protective/obsessive side. 🥵

Nyssa writes a good story. I’ve read one other book by her, Dreadful, and I’ve come to appreciate her writing. She writes characters well, adds in some great spice, as well as giving a good plot to the story.

The twist at the end. It got me. 😭😭😭 I was on the edge of my seat, worried of what the outcome would be. I would have liked to learn the consequences of said twist, though.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Nicole and Alex are beautiful together and I’d love to read more of their love story.

So first of all, I want to thank Author Nyssa Winters for giving me the opportunity to read an arc of this book.

Let me say that this book hits differently from the last two books she has written, but it's like a continuation. I mean yes, there is smut , there is love and angst, but if we look deeper we discover that each of these characters have their own demons and difficulties that they are fighting and that when they are surrounded by the right people , they look right in the eyes of their demons and smirked at them.

So, thank you again for this new adventure. I can't wait for the next destinations coming soon.

Thank you Nyssa, for sending me the ARC!

One of my favorite things about Nyssa’s books is that they’re all completely different of one another; 280 Days of Blossom is a fluffy romcom, Dreadful is a sad but meaningful story about loss and The S Word is a seductive story about 2 strangers, full of spice (almost bordering on erotica).

Nicole, the main character, is the epitome of women empowerment: she is strong, she is independent, she is witty, she is intelligent, she loves sex and she loves her body (and is not afraid to show it).

Alex, the love interest, will become your new book boyfriend because he’s the perfect mix of possessive and open minded, becoming the perfect match for Nicole.

After bawling my eyes out with Dreadful, this book was a ray of sunshine <3

"The S Word" by Nyssa Winters is a seductive and captivating romance that enthralls readers from the very beginning. I would like to extend my gratitude to both BookSirens and Nyssa for providing the opportunity to read this amazing ARC.

The protagonist, Nicole, is described as seductive, cocky, and a flirt, but she is much more than just the labels society places on her. When the chance to become a cam girl arises, Nicole doesn't hesitate to explore this new opportunity. However, little does she know that this decision will lead her to Alexander, a man with a rule of 'no sex' and the most views on the streaming website they both use. The chemistry between Nicole and Alexander is electric, and their lives become intertwined as they decide to work together.

As the story unfolds, "The S Word" weaves a tale of pleasure, desire, and temptation. The connection between Nicole and Alexander sizzles with intensity, drawing readers deeper into their enthralling romance. The steamy and intimate scenes are skillfully written, leaving readers craving more of their passionate encounters.

Winters expertly navigates the complexities of forbidden desire, as Nicole finds herself irresistibly drawn to the one person she knows she can't have. The tension and emotions between the characters add depth to the narrative, making their journey both heart-wrenching and enticing.

Beyond the sensual allure of the romance, the characters in "The S Word" are well-developed and multi-dimensional, making them relatable and easy to connect with. Nicole's journey of self-discovery and breaking free from societal expectations is empowering and inspiring.

The writing style is engaging, with a perfect balance of steamy romance and heartfelt emotions. Winters' storytelling talent shines through, keeping readers hooked from start to finish.

In conclusion, "The S Word" by Nyssa Winters is a steamy and addictive read that will leave readers craving more. With its enthralling romance, well-crafted characters, and emotional depth, this book promises an immersive and thrilling experience. Mark your calendars for its release on August 01, 2023, as "The S Word" is a must-read for fans of passionate and forbidden romances.

First of all, thank you to book sirens and Nyssa Winters for sending me this arc I am very grateful. Now getting into the review of this book, I really enjoyed it! Nicole is a strong, independent female main character who is very much herself and strong willed which I really enjoyed reading about and its refreshing to see a strong female main character. Alexander is also a likeable character and is a very understanding, loving and strong person in his own right also. Now the book itself has a very interesting concept and the layout is also interesting throughout the first half. Nicole and Alexander both work on a cam site and I found it really entertaining having that played out within the book and having it laid out as live streams and live chats I thought that was a real positive within the book. There is also duel povs within this book which I personally love within any books but especially romance books so that was even better! This book itself is very sex positive and talks about the double standards between men and women not just within a sexual context but in general when having a job on a cam site etc. This book is diverse showcasing different sexualities and also having a trans character within the book and just to touch upon other characters the friendship between Nicole and Layla is so lovely and supportive I loved reading about it! When It comes to the relationship between Nicole and Alexander the tension was there the spicy scenes were there and it was just a really adoring relationship that I thoroughly enjoyed reading about. When it came to the main plot of the book it was very heavy and I would advise people to check trigger warnings before reading this book just in case because there are heavy topics but the plot was well written, even though at times It got a little bit confusing with different characters, and I was hooked and wanted to read more and more which is always good when it comes to reading a book. Overall, I thought this book was very well written and the epilogue was super cute and a good end to the book!

First, I wanna say that I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book.

Second, it's a different book from Dreadful and that was a surprise. A damn good surprise, because I also loved this book.

It follows the story of Nicole and Alex, two cam workers. They meet online and eventually start a collaboration on the site they both stream. Of course, sparks fly and the attraction between them is undeniable.

I don't want to spoil the story for you so I'll just say this is a steamy love story between two people yes, but goes beyond that. It's also the story of two people who have to deal with their past traumas and with the dangers of having an online profile. Yes, the internet is amazing and we can meet amazing people here but there's also danger.

Nyssa, can't wait for the next book... Love you sweetie!

I had read this book when the author had it uploaded online, and it made me fall in love with Nicole all over again. The sex scenes are some of the best I can remember and the party is as perfect as I recall it. She took some bits out, I am guessing for self publish reasons since it was a big book, but it is still very much perfect.

Good job Nyssa, you are still amongst my favourites

After a refreshing and inspiring rom-com (280 days of Blossom) and an emotional second-chance love story (Dreadful), Nyssa Winters covers new territory with her newest release.

Given the author’s eclectic bibliography, there is no surprise in the fact that, once again, ‘The S Word’ really is one of a kind.

For starters, ‘The S Word’ is an undeniably modern piece in the best way possible, because the plot gravitates towards a very smart and interesting concept: live broadcasts on the internet. Indeed, the story follows Nicole, a young woman with a pretty daring personality, a taste for adventurous things, and a need for a new job ASAP. And that’s how the story begins, with Nicole becoming a ‘cam-girl’ on a website.

And what is that? We are at a time when the concept of live broadcasts has proliferated everywhere (people live playing video games on Twitch for others to watch and react; other people simply talking about different topics and waiting for viewers to comment and interact; or even K-Pop stars coming live on a special app for their fans to enjoy their idol’s presence for a little while and get some news from them (that last one’s for those who are acquainted, *wink emoji*).

‘The S Word’ takes the whole concept one step further by depicting a platform where the entire purpose would be for people to go live and basically do whatever they feel like doing, and then just hoping viewers will come and watch.

And that’s actually a very interesting way to introduce the ‘sex topic’ in the story. Because, obviously, Nicole is a woman, and it’s no news that when a woman is being watched (in the literal sense of the word, in that context), people would expect her to make it all about her body and eroticizing it.

But in “The S Word’, the author finds a clever way to deal with online ‘sex-related’ content, but without any vulgarity or sense of female subjection and objectification. Indeed, what Nicole does on her live channel is not porn; just pure sensuality and stimulation of senses. She flirts, teases, and puts on a show within which she alone has control over what is being showed off and performed.

As a starting point for the story, Nicole’s live sessions are very immersive in the way they’re written and described. Viewers’ messages from the live chat do not weigh down the reading, but create a great narrative rhythm and a page-turner effect. ‘The S Word’ is all about atmosphere, so as a reader, it’s like you’re a ‘viewer’ yourself in a way; you can really picture yourself by Nicole’s side in that room with purple soft lights, listening to her and being desperate to know what’s going to happen next, both during the lives and within the main lead’s life.

That’s what happens when a book’s main character is as fascinating and inspiring as Nicole.

All of Nyssa’s books depict female characters with an energy and an aura of their own, but most of all, her women are women in power. In power of their life, of their destiny, of their emotions, of their body. And of course, Nicole makes no exception. She’s sexy, open-minded, smart and funny all at once; she exudes feminine power and confidence, all the while perfectly knowing who she is and not being afraid nor ashamed to show it.

That way, behind the appearance of giving in to the viewers kinks and fantasies, Nicole actually kind of embodies a form of female domination. Because yes, she’s the one in charge, she’s the one leading the dance of interactions with those who watch her, and she does nothing but whatever the hell she wants, whenever she wants it and how she wants it.

And this dynamic also applies to her relationship with the second main character, Alexander.

As an ASMR live broadcaster himself on the very same website as Nicole, Alexander also flirts with that embodiment of fantasy, except that he expressly states he’ll never give in to sex-related content. That way, the relationship between Nicole and Alexander creates a perfect balance in support of the book’s essence. One of them is willing, the other is holding back, which generates an incredible tension.

Of course at some point, they literally break the fourth wall by finally getting into a relationship, after having fantasized about each other for a little while behind their respective computers, which makes the whole relationship development so satisfying.

As a reader, you obviously want them to get together as fast as possible considering how well they fit and complete each other in the way they’re both described in their personality traits. Sensuality and lust emanate from each of their interaction throughout the book, but as the relationship moves forward, you can also sense a true tenderness between them; so as respect, devotion and love.

Indeed, besides all things ‘sexy’ and the quality of the descriptions as an asset unique to good erotic contemporary literature, ‘The S Word’ first and foremost is a true love story. A story which starts in a world of fantasy and image, but then gives rise to an encounter, and a real and profound connection between two people.

Along with the fluidity of the writing, Nyssa always knows how to transport her readers in another dimension, and masters how to create literary worlds with truer-than-life characters inside them. The writing is loving, sincere, generous and gracious, just like the characters that are resulting from it. You can’t help but want to immerse yourself in their world and follow their story, whether for witnessing the love blossoming between them, or shivering along with the complications and twists and turns of their lives.

Get ready for lots of hotness and lots of love sprinkled with a little bit of angst, and go get your hands on ‘The S Word’ on August 1st 2023.

The S Word is an erotic Strangers-lovers romance novel featuring cam workers. Nicole is seductive, cocky, and a flirt. There's no denying that. She is a woman with drive, leading her to meet Alexander. They collaborate on the website they both stream, and sparks fly. Alexander and Nicole bend rules on their streams that push Alexander's no-sex rule to its limits. But they are open to pushing those limits because of each other. The two have chemistry neither understands from the moment they first interact. It's new and strange to them, neither genuinely knowing what to do nor how to proceed, yet unable to stop themselves.

However, not everyone is how they seem online or in person. Whether it's an ex, a stranger, or otherwise. As Alexander says, "Honesty is something hard to find these days. Especially online." He isn't wrong, not at all. Sometimes, we find beauty, genuine friendships, and love online, but danger lurks. People don't realize how dangerous an online public presence can be, and Nyssa explores that danger beautifully well, the ups and downs—the good we find and also the bad. And the bad does come. With a public persona, people can't always separate real from fake, public from private, and persona from the person. Not everyone who follows wishes for your happiness. Some wish for misery. Some can't let go of what they think is theirs.

Through twists and turns of hidden truths and lies, we follow Alexander and Nicole further through their story. Both characters are human. Both make mistakes. Threats follow, as well as more. Rules exist for a reason, and the aftermath of breaking them isn't always pretty, even if it's not the fault of the one who broke them. Sometimes, consequences are damned. Breaking the rules is worth it despite the result. But is it in this case? Alexander fulfills Nicole's wildest dreams and biggest fantasies. They are good together, but after everything, will they make it? Will they end up together?

I absolutely loved this book! The S Word was a great read. I love Alexander and Nicole as individuals and together. I love how human they were and how much I could understand the emotions they were feeling. The story made me want more while I read it, and Nyssa delivered. This story isn't just about sex. It's about the characters, their lives, and their interpersonal relationships, and I genuinely enjoy that in books I read. As I have said before, Nyssa's writing pulls you in and gets you to think. You feel the emotions of her characters, and you can't help but become invested in their stories. You want to know more. You need to see how the story ends. Nyssa may write fiction, romance, erotica, you name it, but her stories always keep her characters human. Characters we can relate to in so many ways. Even though they are experiencing lives entirely different than our own, her stories bring to light real things that happen and can happen while telling us a fictional story. I love that about Nyssa's writing, and I am so glad she writes like this.

I look forward to her future novels because I guarantee that we haven't seen anything yet! More great books will come from Nyssa.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a captivating and sexy story that kept me hooked from the first page to the last. The author did a great job of creating realistic and relatable characters that I cared about. Nicole was a strong and independent woman who had overcome a lot of challenges in her life. Alexander was a mysterious and charming man who had his own secrets and struggles. Their chemistry was undeniable and their scenes were hot and steamy. The plot was well-written and had some unexpected twists that surprised me. The book also had some emotional moments that made me feel for the characters and their situations. I hope there will be a sequel or an epilogue to give us more closure. Overall, this was a great read that I would recommend to anyone who likes romance novels with a bit of spice.

First of all, thank you very much to Nyssa Winters for sending me (again!) an ARC of her book :)

I really enjoyed it. I got into it right away and immediately fell in love with Nicole/Nova.

Her character is very relatable and you cannot help but emphasize with her.

I loved her relationship with Alex and also fell for him after a couple of pages… and OMG, the spice!!!

As usual, the story was really well writen and entertaining. I do not give it 5 stars because it was kinda predictable, but I really enjoyed it anyway.

I cannot wait for Nyssa's next story!

I have enjoyed reading the book, especially the first part where we get to know Nicole and the reasons why she decides to become a cam girl. I have enjoyed very much her first interactions with her followers and with A.

However, it felt like reading two books. After she met A and things progressed, the book took a different turn. I’m not usually a fan of thrillers, so I was a bit taken aback by the change, and it took me longer than I expected to finish the book. But that’s just me, I’m not a big fan of thrillers.

It would be better for readers to check the trigger warnings, as this book is quite explicit, and I very much liked that. Maybe advertise that there’s also a change of plot/genre halfway through the book.

This started off really interesting and then got predictable about halfway into the book.

The "Daddy-kink" that was mentioned should have been used again, knowing it was one of Alexander's kinks as well as letting Nicole explore her dominant side a bit. I understand that this isn't supposed to be full of smut and spice, but in my opinion, if something like that is mentioned, it should be used again, especially given Nicole's character.

The second half of the book felt like reading a wattpad book (not that there's anything wrong with that). To me, it felt overdone and very predictable.

Title: The S Word

Rating: ★★★☆☆

Although "The S Word" held my attention, it fell short of my expectations for unexpected plot twists..

Let me start by saying that "The S Word" was a book that kept me engaged and turning the pages. While not filled with the unexpected twists and turns I anticipated, the plot still held my interest and compelled me to keep reading. It had a solid foundation that kept the story, ensuring I stayed invested in the outcome.

One highlight of "The S Word" was the steamy scenes. The author crafted passionate and intimate moments between the characters, adding excitement and sensuality to the narrative.. These scenes were well-written and contributed to the overall enjoyment of the book.

However, I must admit that I had hoped for more surprising plot developments. While the story was enjoyable, it didn't deliver anything groundbreaking I had anticipated. The plot was quite linear, which made the experience enjoyable, but I was hoping for more unexpected twists..

Despite the disappointment, "The S Word" is still captivating, with a good plot and sultry scenes.. The well-written scenes and solid storyline make it an enjoyable and entertaining experience.

In conclusion, "The S Word" offers an engaging plot and tantalizing steamy scenes that enhance the reading experience. While it may not deliver the unexpected twists and turns I had hoped for, it still held my attention and kept me invested in the story. If you're seeking a book that combines an enjoyable plot with passionate moments, "The S Word" is worth considering. So kick back, relax, and let the story whisk you into a world of desire and intrigue.
