Why is dating with eight extra appendages so hard?
Jonas is an author in need of inspiration. After months of writer's block, the octopus shifter finds himself being talked into a vacation to blow the cobwebs away. Stumbling onto a perfect little tea shop feels like fate, especially when he meets York, the supernatural owner who's better than any protagonist Jonas could create.
York hasn't had the best luck when it comes to relationships. After constantly being told he's too much, he's not expecting to find the love he dreams about. But York hasn't counted on fate delivering an author straight to his doorstep, one who could give York the chance to write his own happily ever after.

I adored Tentacles and Tea. This was another really cute shifter story of the tentacle kind by Toby Wise.
We have Jones, an octopus shifter and romance writer who is having a bit of a writer’s block so he is sent out on a vacation in order to help get his creativity flowing again. He goes to a local cafe that seems to have something magical about it. He meets York, the owner who’s a human with fae blood. They are drawn to one another and both soon realize they are fated mates.
This was a streamy insta love story but I enjoyed it. These two were perfect for one another. York wants to be loved deeply and romanced and who can do that better than a romance novelist?
The tentacle sex and mating scene was super hot and erotic. I enjoy egg depositing (?) type mpreg as much as the standard one and I think Toby did an amazing job writing that scene. I do wonder how the DNA of the second parent gets incorporated into the egg.
Overall it was a short, steamy and sweet story which I very much enjoyed. I hope Toby writes more tentacle shifter stories in the future.

The writing really just isn’t my cuppa tea (ha!). The passages of Jonas’ writing is kinda annoying. And I’m an unreasonably annoyed by the fact that “succubus” is used 3x instead of “succulent”… very different things, and one makes more sense in a tea shop full of plants than the other.

This was really cute, but, there were so many errors. One that stood out among the others was that Succulent was seemingly auto-corrected to Succubus TWICE. Despite that, I really liked the storyline and characters, so three stars it is.

A nice, uncomplicated tale of love and shifters, Jonas and York are freaking adorable as they are drawn together. This is my second tentacles tales, I'm still not too sure about it but these two men made the whole tale easy on my brain.

This was previously released in an anthology, so I had read it before, but I think it was better second time around for me.

Tentacles and Tea is a very cute love story by Toby Wise. It is a novella length story with tentacles and eggpreg. It was originally released in the Tentacle Tales Anthology, so you may have read it before. However this is my first read now that it is being released on its own.
Jonas is an Octopus shifter, he is also a writer with severe writers block. When his assistant insists he take a vacation, he heads to a little beach town for some ocean air and finds a magical little tea shop. Once there, it’s like he can breathe and he can write again! It’s in this tea shop that he meets York, the owner, and the attraction is instant just like in his stories. Is it possible? Could he, a very unlucky in love shifter, have found his mate?
With this being my first Octopus shifter book, I didn’t realize the importance of tentacles. Lesson learned, apparently they can be quite fun! This story had eggpreg, which meant the happy couple had babies!! I know that isn’t for everyone, but it made me happy. It really is a cute little story and I find that Toby Wise always keeps me wanting more, more stories, more laughter, and more love.

This book was released in the Tentacle Tales Anthology and is now being released on its own! Toby Wise does it again with yet another octopus shifter romance. I love not only York's character but also his uniqueness and his Tea shop. I loved that the primary place that this book took place in was York's tea shop. I just think that setting was so unique and I thought the name was really clever.
The background was fantastic! The characters were great as well, they all played off of one another and all had a purpose for being in the story. I would say this is a bit of a slow burn with a fated mates aspect along with mpreg.
We got to see characters from Toby's other octopus shifter book, A Sucker For You. Which I highly recommend you read!!

Oh my lord, could Jonas and York have been any more adorable. Jonas, an octopus shifter is taking some time away to try and cure his writers block. He meets York and is drawn to him immediately. York is, likewise, drawn to Jonas. I loved how they danced round one another at first. After that first date, it’s mostly history. York takes Jonas home and basically keeps him. There was some extra spicy tentacle love and the whole concept of Jonas leaving sucker marks all over York was super hot.
Very little, if any, angst here. Just a story of two magical men meeting and falling in love. It was just so lovely. We even get a small glimmer of Matteo and Simon from Sucker for Love and it was such a great easter egg to throw in. I loved this from start to finish and I never wanted it to end.

Another wonderful shifter romance from Toby Wise. Lady Fate brings two men together who quickly realise how much they mean to each other and what they want for their future.
This is an octopus shifter story set in a small town, contemporary and Jonas and York are quickly drawn together but want to take their time as well to ensure each man wants them for them not just any pheromones pulling them together.
It's a fun and flirty romance, definitely hot and perfect for those who enjoy an extra appendage or eight with their fated mates. Easy to enjoy romance that gives mates, mpreg and living their HEA.

What a cute story. Jonas is an author suffering from writers block when his PA books him a vacation to get away to get away for a bit. He ends up at a tea shop where he relaxes and seems to give him back his mojo. He literally bumps into someone the next day who he later learns is York. This is a sweet non angst story that leads to their happy ever after. I really enjoyed it and cannot wait to read more,

York's tea shop is utterly adorable.
When he and Jonas meet, Jonas immediately recognizes York as his fated mate.
Jonas has to work hard to convince York of this but they eventually work things out.
The chemistry between them was scorching hot.
I enjoyed seeing previous characters make an appearance.

Insta Tentacle Love
3.5 stars! This was my first “tentacles” love story. It was very sweet. It’s a quick read with no angst. This Insta love story will keep you smiling. I wish this book was a little more descriptive and honestly I wish the ocean and Jonas’s true nature were incorporated into the story. Other than that…it’s a great story.
