Our Time is the 5th book in the Studio C series. I didn't realize it was the last book so I felt a bit lost, but that was my own fault for not double checking. There are several characters who are all connected to the MCs of this story.
Ben was born as an Omega but transitioned once he left his hometown. He's working as a cameraman for Studio C, a porn company. His childhood best friend, omega Ryder is a performer at the same studio. Both have feelings that are more than friends, and a road trip back home allows them to confront past issues and realize that they are meant to be together as mates.
I liked seeing how transgender issues can be explored through omegaverse. Due to how short the story was everything moved very fast, and with Ben and Ryder already having an established connection, I was able to accept it. This was a story of second chances and right person wrong time.
It was steamy and tender. Thankfully when they got together Ryder stopped working as a porn star and shifted to working behind the scenes.
Overall it was a short and sweet read! I will go back and start the series from the first book.

The concept of an omega transitioning to an alpha is really cool and is what led me to read this book. Normally I wouldn't jump in on book 5 of a series but it came highly recommended and I decided to give it a shot. I didn't feel like I was missing anything crucial by not reading the other books in the series.
I liked the writing and the clear connection between the 2 MCs. I was a bit disappointed to see that the book was on the shorter side as the concept was really interesting.

The Studio C series wraps up in the author's sweetly steamy style in Our Time.
Best friends, Ryder and Ben, are in love with each other, and a road trip to Ryder's sister's baby shower is just the time to finally admit their feelings.
The pair were just adorable together, and Ben being trans was just perfect. I loved that aspect of the story. That first steamy scene where Ryder uses his mouth, wow!
As it is a finale, there's some wrapping up of previous storyline. However, this could probably work as a standalone.
Sad to see the series end, but they are well worth a re-read as comfort reads

4.5* This was a very cute read by a first time author for me. I really liked the writing style and the general vibes as well as the omegaverse version of trans. I've only read that in one other book before, and I think it's such a cool and fun idea to explore.

This book was full of cute best friends to lovers moments that make you want aww out loud! I've been waiting for Ben and Ryder's story for a long time, through this series we've caught glimpses of these characters circling each other. Each book gave more glimpses of them, which in turn made us readers more curious as to what's going to happen between them.
I firmly believe it was well worth the wait to get their book, this was truly excellent!
Full of tender sweet moments that make you smile, and aww out loud scenes that make you want to do just that. I think this has been the best book in this series, as well as this being my favorite book!
There was so much background detail, and the characters were fleshed out and well written. We got to learn about Ryder and Ben's past, and we got to learn why they've been dancing around each other for so many years. Which can I just say, was done very well! Best friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes, so to pair that with two beautiful characters that compliment each other so well, made for such a terrific book!
This book wrapped up the Studio C series with a nice bow, and as sad as I am to see this beautiful found family go, it went out with a beautiful book!
I do wonder about Alex's character, and I do hope that they'll get their own story at some point.
I highly recommend this book, and while it can be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading the rest of the series for maximum enjoyment.

I always love a great Best Friends to Lovers story and Our Time by Toby Wise is just that. Book 5 in the Studio C Series. Ben and Ryder have been friends forever, knowing what they think is all of each other’s secrets. Ben is finally able to make his big secret a reality when they leave their small town together and he’s able to transition from Omega to Alpha and try to live his life the way he’s always dreamed with one exception, the Omega of his dreams is Ryder. This is a secret that they are both keeping as each has been dreaming of the other pretty much forever. They are put in a forced proximity situation along with a Heat cycle during a cross country journey and Boom! A sweet, fun, romantic story that anyone will enjoy. I”ve loved all of the books in this series, that encompass the found family of the Adult film company, Studio C. Each fits a different story type, but each character has just grabbed a part of my heart for themselves. Highly recommend the whole series. You won’t regret it!

Such a sweetly beautiful story. Friends who have loved one another for years finally admit that their love is so much deeper.
One of my favorite aspects of Toby Wise books is the softness that is always mixed in. There can be a fairly spicy scene but it’s followed up by such tenderness. It really is beautiful. Ryder and Ben were meant for one another. They always stuck by each other even while holding their true feelings back. They have so much history and it melds wonderfully into the future they always wanted.
I loved that we get to visit with other characters from Studio C and I love that we get epilogues that keep our guys together and happy. This book was so sweet and just a great addition to this series.

Ryder and Ben's best friends to lovers story is the perfect way to finish off the wonderful Studio C series.
Though it's a short story, the development of the two men moving their relationship forward doesn't feel rushed. More of a natural progression that was inevitable as they've both clearly loved each other for a long time but Ryder has been patient in waiting for Ben to be comfortable and happy in his body and with his self. It's such a sweet story and Toby is brilliant at bringing all of the emotion and family feels together. There is a lot of tenderness as the two men learn each other in a new way but they still have that strong bond of friendship that binds them together.
This has been another great series from Toby with elements of found family between alphas and omegas who work at an adult entertainment studio.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

This is such a sweet, fluffy story. All the romance. All the feels. Two friends who have gone through a lot together. They stick together, but they also don't want to put their friendship at risk. An original story where the author portraits a trans person in the omegaverse is quite different. UNIQUE. He didn't fit his assignation as omega, not the gender.
Beautiful story who reveals that being vulnerable, honest, and yourselves are the keys to happiness. Sweet, lovable, and smuchy characters. Camaraderie and immature funny remarks included. They are such adorable.

Very sweet story about second chances
This was such a sweet way to finish the Studio C series. I loved that this was a second chances story that didn’t have any real heartbreak to it. Ben and Ryder were solid best friends who just needed the time and maturity (as in, not being teenagers) to be able to be in the right space to have what they were always working towards (whether they knew it or not). Super low angst, sweetness abounds with this one. I’m so happy that everyone has had their HEA.

This book was so good. Ben and Ryder have been best friends for years and each man secretly wants more. They are a good example of the right people at the wrong time of their lives. They both had to get to the right place first. Ben had to find his true self and transition to the alpha he was meant to be. How could he expect others to accept him until he could accept himself? Ryder had to be there and support him and just bide his time. I do wish these two would have communicated but better late than never. This whole series is sweet and steamy and full of found family.

Our Time is Book 5 in the Studio C series and can be enjoyed as a standalone. I really enjoyed this book. It's the first time I've read about a trans character in an mpreg story. Ben and Ryder are best friends that happen to work together. Ben and Ryder are perfect for each other but it takes them being alone on the road for a few days to discover that for themselves. This really is a sweet story with an unexpected addition to their found family. I recommend this book and series.

Loved it!...I think this is my first read with this universe having a character going through transition and it was interesting and heartfelt. A lot of emotions and feels with this one. Ryder and Ben...best friends for like forever and finally they get to live their best life with each other. Sooooooooo much support from the Studio C crew...Book 5 was definitely a delightful end to a great series. "big smile"

This is my first omegaverse story with a trans main character and for me, the author didn't put a foot wrong. I loved following Ben and Ryder on their road trip, getting Ben's full story and seeing these two finally be able to open up to each other about everything and get their HEA.

I've waited for Ben and Ryder's story and it didn't disappoint. The depth of feelings and emotions was beautifully done. I loved them together, and honestly they wormed their way into my heart.

Oh yes, please. Explains everything Ben and Ryder past and present, after hinting and teasing about them in all the other books. Very cathartic.
