Spring Break. A rite of passage. A ritual. A must do until everything turns on its side. A sociopath amid the revelry. The three J's, their ringleader John. Always together and never apart. The witnesses to his crime or accomplices as he refers to them. "You did nothing to stop me" says John and his friends forever linked to him. A sacrifice made to keep them from prison and their souls forever fractured. The Sacrifice is a psychological thriller spanning three time lines, three murders and souls forever bound by the carnage of their ill-fated spring break to the exotic Cancun in 1989.
This book was amazing. It takes place over three timelines and is told from multiple points of view, and it was done phenomenally! There are several twists and turns throughout that kept me turning the pages! The chapters are no long so it makes it even easier to pick it up and read it for a few minutes.
Loved it! I can’t wait to see what she writes next!
Recommended to me by a friend. It's a psychological thriller well written, the narrative keeps you on the edge of your seat. Hard to put down once you start. The story moves at a great pace and all the characters are well developed. I highly recommend as well
What an amazing read! Flew right by. So many mysteries and twists the ending will shock you. All along I’d play out what would happen next, only to find out the story leads somewhere else. Bravo Caroline!
Congratulations to my sister-in-law on her first book! Lots of twists and unexpected turns weaved through multiple time lines and multiple character's inner voices! Way to go on your first novel!
A trip to Cancún, a chilling murder and three friends who will never be the same feature in Caroline Steiger's gripping psychological thriller, THE SACRIFICE!
