This silver soldier’s anthology was excellent!!!

So far I’ve read 4 of the stories including: Ripples by Delilah Devlin, Seal in Distress by Denise De Marco, Storm on the Bayou by Elle James, and Operation Purple Diamond Sparkle by Brenda Margriet.

Absolutely top notch writing and ohhh the heat from these silver soldiers is incredible! I can’t wait to read more about each of these characters!!!

Five stars all the way! Highly recommended!

They may all be Silver Soldiers but this anthology has something for everyone with an intriguing mix of hero's, from veterans to shifters, Laird's, cyborgs, carpenters and undercover agents but the one thing they all have in common...they are all steamy. At just 99p this book is a bargain that shouldn't be missed.

These are short looks in what's to come of their stories. Love Reina Torres's story (Sarge in Charge) about Sarge and the Broken Arrow MC again. Sarge is hot and all protective alpha male and he's going to protect Tamsyn from the men wanting her bar. Can't wait to read more about this couple. Elle James is another of my favorite authors in this series "Storm on the Bayou. Well Remy and Shelby got it on quick. Hank told Remy to take a vacation at home in the bayou and Shelby works for the Sheriffs dept there. Needless to say they met by accident. More to continue. Delilah's story is called "Ripples". You'll have to read the story to figure out why it's called that. Joe is ex-military and wanted to live on the water, but the cottages and homes were too high, so he bought a used houseboat and is fixing it up. He meets Sherry and her son Jason, who is divorced from her husband and the only thing she wanted to keep was the houseboat. So here starts a love story.

Silver Soldiers, a collection of stories in the Boys Behaving badly Anthologies, is the kind of book I would pick up when I want a simple, no stress read. It's basically a collection of hot, insta-lust stories with pretty decent plots. Warning, these are either super short stories or prequel-like, not full sized. If you can't read short, sometimes abruptly ending stories filled with almost immediate bedroom gymnastics, then don't pick this up. But because the writing is surprisingly well done for this genre, they are fun to read (think gooey chocolate chip cookies-one is never enough). Luckily Silver Soldiers is filled with a whole bunch of available yummy....ahem...cookies. Back to plotlines though- I was actually super impressed with most of the stories and the writing. They are not just erotic reads, but well thought out , albeit short, stories meant-I think- to whet your appetite for more from the authors involved. (sorry, food references just seem appropriate:) There are different storylines that almost guarantee you will find something to appeal to you- from soldier, to cyborg, to MC biker, to Brotherhood Protector, to Highland laird, to alien diplomats. One of my favorites is Storm on the Bayou by Elle James. It's about a retired soldier on a last, mandatory vacation before possibly joining a private ex-military run security group. Let's just say he jinxed it by saying: "I'm here for the quiet solitude and fishing." Full disclosure - I am biased because I have read and loved Elle James' Brotherhood Protectors Series, so this little bite sized story is adorable (and could use a full sized book to follow...hint..hint..) Another story I enjoyed was Snafu (can't give the whole title due to Amazon censoring- but it's commonly known military jargon), by Ava Cuvay.. It was kinda sad, but told the story of a "retired" cyborg soldier created by the government and his brief relationship with a troubled coworker who had her own sad secret. I wouldn't mind an HEA here either... Overall, Silver Soldiers is a worthy pick up. I received an ARC of these stories that I was happy to leave an honest review for.

If you have little time, but want “picker upper” novellas about sexy hunky former soldiers who were not looking for love but find it in unexpected places, these stories are for you.
Here are some of my favorite stories.
STORM ON THE BAYOU- by Elle James
Former Navy SEAL Remy Montagne is back in the Bayou for a week before he starts working with Hank Patterson in Montana. When a storm leaves local police officer Shelby Broussard stranded with him, the kid that used to pester him as a kid, the one night stand leaves him wanting more. This one ends in a sort of cliffhanger and this reader wonders if Remy will be getting his story in the future.

SEAL IN DISTRESS by Denise De Marco
Former SEAL Saam MIller is in Appleton to restore and sell a house he inherited from his abusive father.
But what happens when Elle, the hardware owner grabs his heart? Will he change his mind and find his HEA in Appleton or will the past hurts stop him from holding on to love?

RIPPLES by Delilah Devlin
Joe Tiegan, recently retired from the Army, is happy in his new home, a houseboat. Though it needs work, he’s isolated from everyone and on the water. What could be better than that? Well, his quiet life is turned upside down when newly divorced single mom Sherry Lovett moves to the boat next to him. This was a fast moving and sweet story.

Short stories running the gambit from steamy to erotica. Tales of paranormal, sci fi, cowboys, aliens, historical and contemporary. With middle aged veterans, 40's, 50's - yes! Something for everyone. I did not read the blurb when I signed up for the arc. I saw veteran and Elle James and said yup. I found a few new authors and am excited to investigate them further. Elle James story was Storm on The Bayou. Remy is being asked to take a vacation before joining up with the Brotherhood Protectors. After all Montana and Louisiana are different landscapes. He quickly runs into (not quite literally) his old girlfriends younger sister - who is now a Sheriff. These are novellas, So the insta hot, insta steam happen quickly but I really appreciated the authors who made sure the plot was there, like Elle James, Reina Torres in Sarge in Charge, which ended to quickly and Ripples by Delilah Devlin. Others who delivered and are new to me authors that I want to read further are This Time Forever by N.J. Walters, Broken Trust by Rhonda Lee Carver ,Weathering the Storm by Natasha Moore. These are just some of the new authors who short stories delivered characters to care about and a plot. Thank you for the arc. A well crafted collection of short stories that all include older MCs!

The smorgasbord contains plenty to whet every kind of romance palate! There are insta-lust, love rekindled, 2nd chance, scifi, paranormal and everything in between!

They may be short but they have engaging plots, empathetic characters and plenty of sizzle. Some do end rather abruptly but those are more like prologues for the authors series.

My favourite was from Elle James - which fed into her interconnected series within the Brotherhood Protectors World. Our hero returns to his hometown for a vacation before taking up his new job with Brotherhood Protectors. One daring rescue later and he's alone in the middle of nowhere with the younger sister of his former girlfriend. One who had a major crush on him when she was younger.

The ending is kind of left open ended so I'm hoping that means there will be a book about them in the future.

The others were all enjoyable - especially the PNR and Sci-Fi ones. Well worth the money!

The story I am reviewing for the anthology is Ripples by Delilah Devlin. Joe Tiegan is having no problems being on the water in his house boat with no neighbors. He is perfectly content fixing up his house boat and just doing his own thing. That abruptly comes to a halt when the house boat next door is suddenly occupied. Sherry Lovett is newly divorced and is moving into her house boat with her teenage son, Jason. He is seventeen and a great kid. Joe and Sherry meet when Joe sees Sherry looking in his open window. He gets dressed and hurries over to introduce himself. She invites him for dinner, he accepts. One thing leads to another and before you know it, they fall head over heels in love. This was a fun story to read. I enjoyed it very much. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

Many authors have put together short stories of heroes and heroines that cover many different aspects of romance with older characters. If you enjoy quick reads, then this anthology is for you. Want a quick release then being able to read a quick story by one of these authors will be just right. A great way to discover new authors and/or new genres. Intrigue, suspense, romance, and happy ever after can be found here. Don’t have to read in order. Definitely a 5 Star collection.

If you are a silver fox fan and love alpha heroes, this anthology is an absolute must one-click. These reads are fast paced, engaging and highly entertaining and I loved that there was a wide variety of tropes to enjoy. Each of these wonderful tales is filled with its own unique combination of drama, emotion, humor, action, heat and heart and offers an enticing couple that will have you up in your feels and swooning. I enjoyed all the stories included but my favorites were Rhonda Lee Carver's Broken Trust which was a terrific second chance romance that was very suspenseful and packed with sparks and Storm on the Bayou by Elle James which was lush with exquisite tension and thrills.

Chrissy Taylor Broussard is Shelby’s sister and Remy’s high school sweetheart.

Shelby ha a crush on Remus since she was thirteen years old.
Remy came upon Shelby on his way back to get out of the storm. They had
an Explosive one night stand. Can their be a HEA for them?

I wonder was this a hint of where the next Brotherhood Office will be; we will see what Elle James has up her sleeve.

I really enjoyed this story.

Shelby is a Sheriff’s Deputy who crushed on Remy two decades earlier when he was dating her sister. When he comes to her rescue they spend a steamy evening together however they know that is all they can have as their lives are headed in different directions.

This is my review for Storm on the Bayou by Elle James which is a prologue to Remy and Shelby’s story and I am looking forward to seeing where it goes.

This book is full of short stories that will have something for everyone. There are stories by Elle James who writes Storm on the Bayou. Hank tells Remy to take a vacation before coming to work for him when things happen hope to see more of this story. We have Reina Torres with Sarge in Charge and boy does he take charge. We have Delilah Devlin with Ripples about two people living on houseboats and that's where Joe and Sherry's love story starts. That is just three of the authors. This book is full romance, and fast paced stories to enjoy.

As a reader of a certain age, I really welcomed this anthology of stories with heroes that are not in their 20s and 30s! The anthology covers a huge range of genres, so there really is something (or many somethings) for everyone. My favorite so far (and probably based on a love of her books and writing in general) is Storm on the Bayou by Elle James, which has her traditional mix of suspense and heat, but I have also dipped into Delilah Devlin’s story, plus Reina Torres’s return to the Broken Arrow MC. It’s a gem to keep with you when you don’t have time for a full book.

Sort of torn on my feeling here. I normally really don't like short stories because i want to get sucked into the character development and see a gradual build in relationship and plot. It makes the HEA all the better. However I will say that I really enjoyed the stories here plus this set introduced me to a couple authors I haven't read and now really want to. So I would say if you are ok with reading short stories then I definitely think you will enjoy the ones found here. Perhaps you too will find a few new authors too follow like I did.

I love anthologies!! And this one is no different. Elle James and other authors have come together to give us an addictive glimpse into their magical worlds and short reads.

Each story is fast paced and totally engrossing. I loved all the authors but the ones that stuck out for me are Elle James, Delilah Devlin and Reine Torres.

Absolutely loved these reads and would highly recommend.

This is a lovely collection of short stories. I enjoyed reading them but I have to say my favorite is Storm on the Bayou by Elle James. A chance encounter in the bayou opens up feelings for Deputy Shelby Taylor and ex-SEAL Remy Montagne. I enjoyed reading this story about these two characters. They are both very likable. I hope to get to read more about them in a future story.

An enjoyable anthology that was filled with a lot of heat. The conglomeration of authors was good. I enjoyed every story but one. I won’t say which, because I don’t want to deter you from getting this. It is definitely worth every cent, because even though each story was short, it didn’t read as a short story. It wasn’t hurried. I got caught up in each character. I definitely recommend it. Book gifted to me.

A collection of very short stories with many quickies, some ending on good notes, some you know there is more to the story and hope to see what happens next in a full length read.
Read one or two or all of them, some you will need a glass of ice to cool you down from the heat. If you don’t like steam in reads, you may want to pass on this collection but if you do….you don’t want to miss this read.

Wonderful combination of the best of each story. None of the men involved in any of the stories were young they were all well trained Silver Soldiers. Each story is so unique, sexy, romantic and fun to read. No two are alike. It was my pleasure to read this group of stories. I chose to write a review and look forward to reading future books by each author.

Your will not be able to put it down once you get started. You will enjoy each short story by all the authors.

What I liked most about this anthology was the wide variety of genres all centered around the theme of 'older retired veteran'. Whether you like friends to more, second chances or shifters, you will find something in these pages to peak your interest. Delilah Devlin, NJ Walters and Elle James may be the only authors I have read previously, but now I have a few more to try out.

Silver Soldiers is a fun collection of short stories by 14 different authors. Being such short stories it's hard to write reviews so I'll just say my favorites were Storm on the Bayou by Elle James, Clear to Engage by Sukie Shcpin and SNAFU by Ava Cuvay.

I liked all of the stories but I wasn't familiar with most authors.  I did however love the one from Rhonda Carver. To say Bash and Dacee are explosive would be an understatement.  The entire story was action packed from the first line to the last.  Their story ended much too soon.  I hope we will get more of them in the future.  More to come...

Love this group of stories. Each left me wanting a whole story about the couple in them. The steamy romances and story lines were hot and spicy! Each couple’s story was quick but so detailed that they captured my interest quick!
