Too unreal

This looked like a book that I would really like. And it was starting out to be good. Then I saw that this older man with streaks of silver in his red hair was only 36. Number one, red heads keep their color until they are older than brown or black haired people. Also, who other than a teenager considers 36 old?
Then I couldn't find anything believable.

Conner and Claire's love story is amazing. I love them both. Claire is a no nonsense lawyer looking for her best friend who's missing. Unfortunately, said best friend has been taken by the Irish mob. Conner is second in command, but has been longing to give up the lifestyle. The perfect opportunity presents itself for him to be able to leave the mafia, but of course it couldn't be that easy. When Claire goes looking for her friend she runs into Conner and the two have an instant attraction. No nonsense Claire would not be sidetracked and would not stop looking for her friend. Although she gives in to the chemistry, she continued her mission. Though they both had challenges to overcome, they worked together and came out on top. Conner and Claire are a formidable couple. I love it! The story had just the right amount of drama, suspense, and heat, with the HEA. KC has another hit on her hands.

I loved the story arch and all the characters - Claire, the clever defense attorney, and Connor, the right-hand man of the Boston Mob Boss.
I don’t really want to go into details about how they meet and what happens then, but rest assured; this book is a page turner and so worth your time - enjoy reading it!

It's beautifully written with world building characters and an amazing storyline that captures your attention from the beginning of the story until the end. This is Connor and Claire story. It's fast paced, riveting and keeps me turning the pages. Irish King is contains danger, suspense, drama, mystery, lies, action packed, deception, lust, passion, forbidden romance, tension, emotion, angst, age gap trope, friendship, taboo, opposite attracts, insta-lust, steam, passion, kidnap, mafia romance, possessiveness, and love.
Claire Murphy is defense attorney, she and Katherine a.k.a Kiki are best friends. She's looking for her friend after she took a job working at a strip club own by an Irish Mafia boss and went missing. Kiki is in trouble with the mafia's. She can not find any information about her friend but she's determined to do anything to find her even if she put herself in danger to so. Claire went to the club with a plan to find a soldier and flirt her way into the door and save her best friend. However, she was discovered by this handsome man candy who was next in line for the mafia throne, his is Connor O' Leary.
Connor is second in command but he's not happy with his job and he has been thinking about leaving the mob for a long time. Connor had an instant connection with Claire and his determined to bring her down while Claire is determined to give him hell, let the game begin. Claire was looking for Kiki but she had to give into her attraction. It was steamy, intense and erotic. With the help of Claire Connor was able to get out of the mob after they fought through some obstacles.

Claire Murphy was a well respected defense attorney in Boston, but she originally came from one of the poorer parts of the city. Her bestfriend, Katherine or Kat decided to start working at the Pussy Cat as a stripper, but it was known to have ties to the Irish Mob. Claire tried everything to talk her out of it. There was no changing Kat's mind. They spoke daily. Then all silence from Kat not a word for two days. Claire was worried, she started looking for her going to her apartment first. Her roommate was less than helpful. She talked to Kat's ex-boyfriend, Trevor, he had not heard from her, but he wanted to help Claire look for her. They made a grand plan going to the Pussy Cat and see what they could learn there. Claire drew the attention of Connor O'Leary the second in command of the Irish Mob, and she was so taken with him. They planned lunch for the next day. Their overwhelming attraction to one another was a problem for both of them, but they had a problem staying away from each other. One of guys at the club was trying to make time with Kat telling her something he should not have which got her put on lockdown. They did not know what they were going to do with her. The Mob and the Cartel were making a deal, and she could break the whole thing apart. Connor wanted out of the business entirely. He did not have the heart for the violence anymore. He was falling for Claire, and he knew there was no chance for them with him in the mob. She was a brilliant attorney, highly independent, intelligent, extremely sassy, and a gorgeous woman, but she would not be with anyone that was not above board legally. A fast moving story with lots of action that will keep you turning the pages until the end.

Their Unlikely Love Connection -
Claire was beside herself when her best friend went missing, so she took it up on herself to investigate the matter. However, her investigation took her on a dangerous journey, where where she met Connor, who was the second in command of the Irish mob in Boston. Connor felt a pull towards Claire when he encountered her snooping around his club, but he knew he had to be careful and take it slow, as she was unpredictable.

Claire meant for their first sexual encounter to be the one and only encounter between them, but they both realised after walking away that they just couldn’t stay away from each other. Connor decided change his life and live a peaceful life, but his plans were derailed when outside forces decided to use Claire and him mum to try to get what they wanted. Unfortunately, the troublemakers didn’t really consider the consequences of their action and this helped Connor with the safe return of his mum and Claire.

This is a deliciously dark and sinful mafia romance, with great characters and a well written storyline, that had me hooked from the start and by the time I reached the end, I was wishing there was more. I would happily recommend this book to all avid romance readers.

Another great book by this author! Connor and Claire are on opposite sides of the law when they meet, a future together not even a possibility. She is a take-no-prisoners hot shot lawyer intent on finding her missing friend. For all she knows Conner, the very handsome, alpha male Irishman in charge of the club is responsible for her friend’s disappearance. Yes, they both notice how attractive the other is and how much they might like to become physically involved, but both are also very aware that the other will also bring trouble. Both are a threat to each other’s business, but all that is forgotten during the first kiss, again when they are indulging their desires, and very soon put aside completely. Connor is second in command in the Irish Mafia, though lately he has been feeling restless, less enamoured with that life. Could a future together be possible for these two unlikely, but somehow fated lovers?.

Wow this book was so good and I do love a mafia older man drama with a not so innocent female and the trouble they get into together. Claire O’Leary is defense attorney who is looking for her friend Kat who is missing and got a job at the Pussycats Club stripping and so Claire try’s to get into the club to question the other strippers but she doesn’t get far when she is spotted by Conner who is next in line to run the Irish mafia and now with there undeniable attraction to each other they start dating. Conner O’Leary is next in line to be the boss of the Irish mafia but his not happy with the direction his boss is taking them in atm and has decided he wants out and when he meets Claire he knows who she is and there attraction is instant and they start dating but it’s dangerous for them to be together but it doesn’t stop them and together they help each other out. Do they find her friend and does Conner get out of the mafia and do they have a future together or not.

Trying to uncover the whereabouts of her best friend Kat, Claire Murphy, a defense attorney decides to investigate the club where Kat is supposedly dancing. It’s owned by the Irish mob and next in line for the head is Connor O’Leary. Their paths cross at the Pussycats Club where Claire questions dancers in off-limits areas. As the couple begins to become romantically involved, truths are revealed about their identities, their family backgrounds, their ambitions and how their relationship shapes their future. The author does a good job in providing readers with well developed characters, believable family backgrounds, an interesting plot and the culture and habits of the Irish in South Boston. This is an excellent age gap/organized crime romance that is worth rereading. I rated it 4.5 ⭐️, because the silver fox on the cover looks nothing like Connor…a red haired, blue eyed Irishman.

I love reading KC crown, there has not been a bad one yet. And this book just kept my interest throughout the entire book. You always wonder who could fall in love with somebody that is part of the mob, but this book laid it out there for you, Connor is so special, and it takes a special woman to keep his interest. Claire, who happens to be a criminal defense attorney, getting mixed up with the next king of the Irish mob, wasn’t exactly planned. But how the book played out, how the relationship played out, and with parts That just drew you in. And it was easy to fall in love with Connors brother, and of course his ma. This book had it all, and a few surprises along the way. I’m hoping there’s a book coming with Connors brother Kellen in it. Connor and Claire get there happily ever after, after quite a bit of suspense and danger. I also loved how KC Crowne showed you a bit of the future.

When Claire's friend goes missing from the strip club she works at, Claire decides to find out what happens to her no matter how dangerous it may be. Claire is a defence attorney so she knows the Irish Mafia own the club, but she is determined to find her friend. Going there to scope the place out with her friends ex and pretending to be a married couple looking to spice up their sex life, Claire meets Conner. He is the 2nd in command of the Irish Mafia and knows that she is not who she says she is, but who is she really. He is taken with Claire and wants to know more about her and spend more time with her, which is unusual for Conner. He is usually happy to be the love them and leave them one night stand type, so what is so different about Claire.
But can they every truly be together, especially when Conner's lifestyle is so dangerous.

I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

When Claire's best friend goes missing, she will do whatever it takes to find her. A junior defense lawyer she uses what she has learnt to try and infiltrate the last place she knew where Kat was, but it is run by the Irish Mob. Connor O'Leary is the second in command at the Irish Mob and finds himself attracted to the woman he knows is after something. Determined to find out what she knows he tracks her down. Despite her better judgement Claire finds that she can't stay away from Connor. When a power vacuum arises and someone from a cartel tries to change a deal Connor knows he will have to try and keep those he cares about safe. A very hot and steamy read that you will enjoy from the beginning. With intrigue and determination running throughout, you will not want to put the book down.

A great action packed story. Claire’s friend disappears from the strip club she is working at, and she is determined to find her. Claire however, doesn’t plan on meeting a hot mafia leader, Connor, in the club where her friend worked. Claire thinks she can get more information on her friend from Connor so she agrees to meet him, however the sparks between them fly and they give in to the attraction between them. Claire eventually finds her friend, but she knows Connor was involved in some way, but it doesn’t stop the pull she feels towards him. However Claire doesn’t realise she is walking straight into danger by associating with Connor, however her heart knows she can’t walk away. A great story with lots of drama, a few twists and turns, lots of steamy passion and a happy ending.

Loved it! Claire was a total badass. She did not take any crap from anyone. She went as far as standing up to not only Connor, but an even more dangerous man. She was such a great character. I loved Connor too. He was a good man from the beginning. He was just stuck. I loved how he thought of Claire. It was so incredibly sweet. He was possessive and protective of her. The story kept my attention. I didn't want to put it down until I finished it. There was just enough drama and danger. And then we have the chemistry between these two. Holy. Cow. Talk about tablets being on fire. I absolutely loved these two together. And the ending they got was perfect and well deserved.

She goes to club to see if she can find out any information on her friend. When she is in the wrong place she runs into him, the man who caught her eye earlier.

Conner is second in command but he does not agree with his boss and hurting women. When he sees her across the club, he knows she is there for a reason, she is observing everything around her. When he runs into her where she is not supposed to be, he wants to know what her game is.

These two ignite, can she find her friend without getting in trouble.

Great story.
Connor & Clara's story had me drawn in from the start, whilst trying to find her best friend she ended up finding something else aswell. Clara is a no nonsense lawyer & is not worried about standing up to Connor a member of the Irish mafia & he loves it but he knows more about her friends disappearance than he's letting on but the chemist between them is off the charts that although they should be enemies they can't stay away from each other. There is a lot of drama before there is a chance of any happy ever after for these two. Once you start reading this you won't be able to put it down.

She as Trevor her ex-boyfriend if he has seen her and together they go to the Pussycat to look for her and end up stop by Connor who wants to know how she got in the back. He asked her out to lunch to find out what she is up to. They hit it off, but what happen when KiKi is found missing from her catcher? And when Eddie dies what next?.

Love this book from the start it kept me reading til the end. Claire is a great attorney and won't give up when she is on a mission. This one just happens to be looking for her best friend who has gone missing. She has a idea of who has taken her, so she starts her own investigation. Conner has been looking to get out of the mob but hasn't found a good way yet. Running into Claire might have given him a reason to get out. They have this instant connection when she runs into Conner. Will she find her friend before it's too late? Will Conner be able to get out and still be able to protect Claire. A must-read book to see how this all turns out for them.

To anyone who hasn’t read a KC Crowne book before, you need to!
There is action, romance, hot men, chaos, love and for those who like it, a bit of heat too.
KC just blows my mind every time, no matter which category she’s writing in either - mob, mountain men, country, contemporary. She’s not afraid to give anything a go, so should you.

Irish King is book thirteen in the Silver Fox Daddies series, as always Ms. Crowne knows how to deliver! From page one all the way through to the end of the epilogue you just can’t put it down; you as the reader are going through abuse, anger, danger, angst, anxiety, justice, drama, tension, amazing off the charts red hot chemistry that this author has given us throughout the pages. Connor and Claire are exceptional and believable characters plus the supporting characters are pretty amazing and make the story even more enjoyable. This is one I highly recommend! A good read - Silver Fox daddies. This story follows Claire and Connor. Claire is a defence attorney and she’s trying to find her best friend Kat so she goes to the club where Kat is supposed to be dancing. The Irish mob owns the club and Connor is the top guy. He catches here talking to girls in the off-limits area about Kat. They are drawn to each other and start seeing each other. In time they start to learn certain unknown truths about their identities, their family etc. the story is believable and interesting.

This book was really good. It had me hooked from the start and had to keep reading. I just needed to keep reading so I could find out what happened next. This book was well written and action packed, the characters Claire and Connor just fit. Claire normally shy and tries to hide away, but flowers brightly when her best friend goes missing. Claire manages to meet Connor and uses him to try and get clues. Only things don’t always go to plan as there is an attraction that is very strong that neither can ignore. Great read. Recommend.

Conner is second in command yet he is starting to rethink his life. At first being part of the Irish mob was great. Now he is older and things aren't as shiny. Maybe it's time to retire and start a family. Claire is determined to find her bestfriend who is more sister at this point. Claire chose to become a defense lawyer while her bf became a stripper. After hearing something she shouldn't she disappeared and Claire will risk everything to find her. Claire is drawn to Conner despite knowing who he is and what he can do.

"Silver Fox Daddies." A male MC with graying, red hair. He's distinguished. He's Irish. He has to AT LEAST be in his late forties, right? Oh, no. Oh, no, no, no. His birthday? 1987.

1987.

He's 36 at the time this book was published. 36. 36 IS NOT A SILVER FOX. 36 IS PRIME TIME. WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE?!?!?! Seriously, I just couldn't believe it when I read it. That had to be a typo, right? It should have been 1977, right? That would make more sense. But, no. 1987.

The rest of the book was fine. Good story. Suspenseful. Sexy. But like, it definitely got knocked a star because of that age thing. Please, LET US MILLENNIALS HAVE OUR 30S.

This is a great read. Claire is so fiesty, smart and knows her worth, she is great on any situation and I am here for it. Determined to find her missing friend, knowing the Irish mob are behind it, she puts herself in very dangerous situations with humour, grace dedication. She meets Conner and things get complicated, they can't keep their hands off each other, they are equals, but she loves when he takes control.

This is fun, spicy and has a little drama, a great read.
