One storm of the century. Two bitter exes. Three days stuck at HQ. What could possibly go wrong? Exes (and coworkers!) Rory and Chris must answer that question for themselves when a winter storm hits after-hours and strands them at work together. No power. No food. No heat. Just two exes who got it all wrong and now must work together to make things right.
In the span of just three days, Rory and Chris must learn to trust one another again. But more importantly, they must learn to trust themselves. Easier said than done, right?
Weathering The Storm is a second-chance romance with forced proximity. First seen on Kindle Vella!
"This is a beautiful little story. So relatable, and with a plot just different enough to provide some extra interest. Quick, easy, heart-warming read."
If I ever got snowed in a building and it was with my ex, I’ve braved the storm and probably freeze and die (which I rather do then be in my ex’s company for 1 second, never mind about 3 days)
i feel like people are rating this low not taking into consideration it’s meant to be a silly 55 page short love story…that being said, i enjoyed this cute little read!
Okay sooooo… I didn’t like it, but I also didn’t hate it?? Seems like a good read for a snowy day, but I in the end am reading it during the summer so there’s that. It’s about two ex’s getting stuck in their workplace during a snowstorm and making the best of it and basically trying to work out their problems. Quick read if you’re looking for something with less than 60 pages.
The idea for this book was clear, and cute. However the execution was…interesting.
I think it felt rushed. Especially toward the end when the romance is re-kindled, there wasn’t enough tension or love between them in the moments before that would lead them to fall in love again.
However it was a light, quick, easy read and I enjoyed the varied vocab.
Cute short story. I didn't really feel satisfied after finishing it i would perhaps try to make it into a longer story for it to make more sense. Due to it being shorh we dont get much insights into the characters backgrounds which made it more difficult for me to want to read about them.
I think that, for being a novella is very good but i just think i need more in both sides, from the start i need more context about their relationship and in the end i just need to know how it really went on after the last page. I don’t think i will be thinking about this book anymore so that’s why i rated it 2 stars, but it was a fun quick read
DNF’d at chapter 5 since I’m pretty sure these two are fated to die together due to a lack of survival skills while sheltered in a building full of amenities. 10/10 would push them down in front of a bear to escape in the wild.
Short and simple fun romance read. Good atmosphere throughout. Like the characters. I appreciate that the book was a nice light read. Highly recommended.
This novella was super cute! I’d consider it more of a short story with only the 40 ish minute reading time. Obviously a super quick read but a cute story and it made me smile.
This was a romance book?? The FMC didn't like the MMC for the majority of the book, which might not be the biggest issue but this book is only 55 pages. I don't get why they rekindled their relationship, they didn't have much chemistry and it just wasn't believable that they fell for each other again. Loved the premise, a strong dislike for the execution.
cute cute cute. fun little read & i’d give it 3.5 if i could. needed something to desperately get me out of my reading slump. simple little *53 page* read. ~ forced proximity meets second chance ~
