Disclosure, I read the book as an advance reading copy and I did not pay for this book.
I like the book.
It presents a concise overview of American history within the limited space available to the author and the immense breadth and complexity of the history of America.
This book lays a solid foundation for understanding how America developed. It provides enough information about our history and culture, giving enough to spark discussion and debate and provoke further In depth investigation on the part of the reader.
I did think that the author strayed from the impartial approach when talking about the political situation in America for the past 4 decades, however that didn’t change my opinion of the book overall.
The publishers have promised to review my criticisms, then either ignore my opinions or edit and revise the book as they deem appropriate or necessary.
That is, in my opinion, an appropriate response to my concerns.
After all my opinions are simply that, my opinions.
If you are looking to start learning about the history of America then this book would be a great resource for starting that journey.

I throughly enjoyed reading this! I have love history all my life and get excited whenever a new book is out!
"American History: An Enthralling Overview of Major Events that Shaped the United States of America" by Billy Wellman tells the brief overview of important historical events that shaped the United States from the very beginning to present.

What I enjoyed the most was there were some events I learned while reading that I did not remember reading/learning about in school. That did make me go onto to read more on the subject.

What I didn't like was that there were certain areas that did not go into much details that I felt were very prominent to history. As stated before this was an overview of major events.

I feel like this would be beneficial for students in school to give a brief overview on historical events. I feel that this book would be beneficial for students in middle/high school age in additional to traditional textbooks.

A precise and thorough overview of the major historical events that influenced and shaped the United States. It's accurate and informative and as unbiased as any reader could expect until the last chapter or so, where it is a bit too soon to analyze the most recent events, although the opinions will likely prove true over time. Overall, an entertaining and educational quick non-fiction read for history fans or a good place to start more in-depth research.

As a history enthusiast American History wet my whistle for an in depth look into American History that Covers the exploration of the Americas up to present day history and events that are going on at this present time. I found this book to be thorough in its coverage and the writer to have a thorough knowledge. It is a well written book that was easy to read and follow.

If you advertise your book as a history book I shouldn’t be able to pick out your politics so you failed miserably. It should have been called “one man’s opinion on americas politicians.” The “history” book is filled with this man opinions instead of just stating facts. Spend your time on authors who get the assignment.
