When the current captain of Boston’s cold case unit comes knocking on Ronan O’Mara’s door he brings with him an unsolved homicide file and Ronan's old police badge. Ronan is intrigued to say the least. The case is the twenty-year-old murder of a high school math teacher. It’s the one investigation Ronan’s partner Kevin Fitzgibbon could never solve during his time on the police force.

Psychic Tennyson Grimm, is happy to have his husband’s days of wearing a badge behind him, but now Ronan wants back in, begging to solve one last case. While Ronan reminisces about their good old days working cold cases for the Boston Police Department, all Tennyson can remember are the times he and Ronan were shot, stabbed, and kidnapped. Never able to deny his husband anything, Ten relents and agrees to join the hunt for the killer, who’s had two decades to cover their tracks.

As new leads and old secrets come to light, the finger of suspicion points in only one direction, but when Ronan and Fitzgibbon show up to make an arrest, their suspect has vanished.

When the killer steps out of the shadows to take another victim will Fitzgibbon get there in time to stop another murder? Or will this case leave Tennyson and Ronan dead cold?

Great addition to the series

I don’t know how she keeps doing it. Ms Pine keeps the stories fresh and interesting. She is able to weave the mystery and keep up the sense of family, and all the issues that come with it. I wish I could balance my real life the way she balances her stories. Anyway Faulkner asks Ronan, Ten and Fitzgibbon to help with a cold case, one that Ronan was briefly involved in when he was a wet behind the ears beat cop and Fitzgibbon was a newly minted detective. Ms Pine takes us back to when it happened and what this poor teacher suffered through, not only when she was killed but what went on before that day. I was certain in everything in me I knew who the killer was. Then things started to unravel for me and I was like okay it’s this other person. No wait it’s someone else. And up to the very end, I was back on this other person and I was wrong. Oh and Everly is going to be a force to reckon with when she is grown.

Ronan is asked to come back to the Boston PD temporarily and work on a 20 year old murder cold case. Tennyson will let him if he gets to help. All their psychic ability and police experience are utilized with their friends assisting when possible. They are such an enjoyable couple, still in love and passionate about each other and their kids, This book is light in the sex department but excellent in the mystery area. I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest opinion. 4.5*

What amazes me is after 21 books and appearances in the Haunted Souls and other spin offs, Ronan and Ten still feel fresh. There's no cookie cutter fill in the killer blank feel to each book. My favorites are when Pine tosses in bits of Massachusetts history. This is a well researched author. But more importantly, this is an author who still enjoys her main characters and their found and growing families. Always a pleasure to visit Ten and Ronan's worlds.

I love this group of people and the re-opening of a 20 year old cold case murder was hard on everyone especially Ronan who was just a cop then and arrested the man suspected of the murder who was then acquitted and for Fitzgibbon who was a new detective whose partner close to retirement didn't want to do more than was absolutely required of them and was haunted by the murder that was never solved. The man who is now in charge of the Cold Case unit contacts Ronan and Fitzgibbon(they were forewarned by Everly who knew Faulkner was coming)about new information about Denise Petty's murder. The mother of a former high school student who was a twisted individual with nasty sick pictures he made of the teacher wants to talk to them and reveals information about her son who raped the teacher and maybe was the murderer. She is dying and Tennyson reads her and sees who her husband was violent and abusive and encouraged his son with his sick fantasies and she confessed that she couldn't tell them about the rape before because she feared that her son would kill her.
They interview another teacher who had brief relationship with the murdered woman and a teacher who was a former student and that she was in love with the woman. I remembered that Denise was stabbed 31 times which they knew was significant but I didn't realize how vital it was and didn't realize who the murderer was.
What was so interesting was that they had to return to the high school to the scene of the crime and how they felt and also that Ronan and Fitzgibbon were temporarily BPD officers again and how they were excited and apprehensive at the same time. Not a surprise that the retired detective was hostile to them when reminded that one of the teachers had called him several times at the time of the murder and he ignored her. The ending is ambiguous because Ronan doesn't seem to want to just return to his life again. Hope there will be new book coming.

Love This Series

Another fun adventure with Ronan, Tennison and the extended family from West Side Magick in Salem.

This story was like revisiting the first books in the series when Ronan was a Cold Case Detective in Boston PD with Kevin as his Captain before he decided to retire and Ronan became Captain and Ten with his psychic abilities assisting him.

Old friend Faulkner Hayes is now the Captain and when he comes calling with two former Captain badges and asks Ronan and Kevin for their help with a cold case that goes back twenty years and was Kevin’s first case as a homicide detective, they forget the reasons they quit, forgot the danger, all the bullet holes they have and the kidnappings and are like kids in a candy store. Ten remembers it all and the fact that they all have young children now doesn’t help but there is no way he isn’t going to help Ronan.

There were not a lot of ghosts or demons in this story, just one annoyed ghost who was angry her family were having to relive the ordeal again but there were psychos, kidnapping and a suspect with a mind so evil that it turned Ten’s stomach when he read him and could see the way he had abused women.

As usual all the chosen family came together to help, Bertha and Erin “popped” in a few times and tried to find the spirit of the murdered woman in the hope that she could remember who murdered her, Ten and Ronan’s baby son took his first steps and their five year old daughter again showed us how powerful a psychic she will be as she had visions of the case they were working.

Do they all come out of this case unscathed? and is Ten happy when the badges are handed back, you bet he is!

Another intriguing case for Ronan and Tennyson as they're brought back into the Cold Case fold to solve a twenty year old murder case, Fitzgibbon's first as a detective. A schoolteacher is murdered in her classroom, only one man arrested and then acquitted. Now information comes to light that calls the team back on the job.
It's tough for everyone, being back in that environment with the intensity and mystery surrounding the case. Tennyson and Ronan also both fear the possibility of one of the many injuries or bad situations that they have both found themselves in before but there's no denying their need to do the right thing and bring a family some peace and answers. There are definitely some dark moments, Tenn especially seeing things that no one wants to see.
It's another great plot that has twists and secrets. I love that we have so many characters involved, Ronan and Fitzgibbon back on a case alongside Faulkner and Tennyson. But to balance it out you have babies Ezra and Lizbet, the happiness that they bring to their families and the huge group of men who are one big happy found family. Yet another recommended read in this favourite series.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

This is a good mysterly but the supernatural is on the light side here.

Faulk arrives, asking Fitzgibbons and Ronan to take back their captain's badges to help and solve a 20 year old case of a murdered teacher.

It was Fitz's first case as a detective and Ronan's arrest of a suspect. The case never really went away from them as the suspect was found not guilty.

Now new information point into a different direction. With Ten's help they investigate into former pupils and colleagues.

I like the case and the way Ronan and Fitz are dealing with it. But I would have loved more supernatural. There is not a lot here and that means it feels more like a traditional cold case investigation than previous books where Ten's abilities played a larger role.

On the positive side, there is less talk about small children and domestic life. I was getting bored and skipped parts of previous books when it felt more like the description of a large family unit than a suspense book.

Ronan and Fitzgibbon get to relive their glory days for one last case. They temporarily get their badges back to solve a cold case that they were both originally involved with.

The whole gang is back, for the most part. No Greeley. Everyone is happily paired up, and there are even more babies, but I am confused about Jace. Nobody seems to like him, he is rarely present when everyone gets together, and whenever he is mentioned in relation to his husband, it’s always said that he works a lot and it seems like they are rarely together. What is up with Jace and Kevin? It’s kind of a bummer that Kevin has an absentee husband that seems kind of aloof, especially since they had their ups and downs and supposedly got their happily ever after. It would be nice to see Kevin and Aurora get some support at home

Even though it took me a bit to get to read this one, I will say that as always... I was NOT disappointed!

The story was not without a dark side (almost too dark for me), but the mystery was well-written and kept me guessing to the end. OK, I will admit it... I WAS WRONG!!! 🤷‍♀️

The killer had the guys chasing their tails and NOT in a cute puppy dog way! But with a little help from... a friend, they got the job done. Of course, there were shots fired and injuries sustained, but nothing new about that! 🤦‍♀️

Not sure what the future holds for this series, but as long as there are adorable kids, a good mystery, and the guys keep trying to hide the fact that they are mushy in love with each other... I will keep reading these books!!!

Did I mention that Everly rocked it, yet again? No? Well, she did! 🥰

I just finished Dead Cold, and it was full of twists and turns, and I loved it! How do you solve a murder from over twenty years ago? Given back their Captain badges and asked to assist the Cold Case Captain brought back memories of feeling they had not done their due diligence back in the day, so Ronan and Fitzgibbon were on board with Ten’s help. The story made my heart bleed at the senseless cruelty, but the shocker was in the end when the murderer was uncovered. Can’t give anything away but I know you will enjoy reading about the journey to finding out who and why. Another wonderful book in this series and it will be very difficult to put down once you get started unraveling the clues to the past.

ARC received from GRR for an honest review.

Roman and Ten are still a work in progress, which is like a real couple is. They have their two kids and are dealing with their daughter's visions. A cold case needs solving and the group of friends are drawn into help. It was a good story. I didn't guess the mystery ending and there was several ways it could've gone. I disagree with the blurb saying no need to read what's come before. There was so many characters and story issues mentioned that I had no clue about. I would definitely not picked this to read if I'd known this. For those that have read the series it probably isn't an issue. Didn't like the cheating in the marriage of the dead woman.

On the Cold Case Again!

Ronan and Kevin find they have some unfinished business with a case they were involved with in the past. With this case being one where the killer got away, their guilt and duty are driving them to give the victim's family the peace they deserve. Ten is afraid having his badge back will give Ronan ideas of going back to the cold case unit, but knows helping solve this 20 year old case is the right thing to do. There are several suspects, and the guys hope they can catch the killer without losing their lives. Another great Cold Case Psychic book by Pandora Pine!

I can't get enough of this series. Pandora Pine manages to keep things fresh and interesting with each new installment in the Cold Case Psychic series.
When Ronan is asked to come back to the Boston PD temporarily and work on a 20 year old murder cold case Ten has some serious concerns Of course he won't stand in Ronan's way but he will also not allow him to go in alone.
As they are thrown back into the world of danger, mayhem and murder they work together to solve this crime.
I love the connection that these guys have. It never gets old!

Back with a book featuring Ronan and Ten but there are plenty of appearances of the gang. I love this whole universe and hope to keep reading their stories for a long time to come. I love how the domestic side is a big part as well as the mystery.
In this book, Ronan and Fitzgibbon are temporary members of the Boston poilce force as they go back to try to solve a cold case they first investigated a long time ago.

Lovely to have Ronan, Ten, Jude and the gang back in my life! Another good mystery, lots of intensity, but the humour was present throughout and certainly made me smile. I love the relationship between this group of friends, who act like one big family. The whole found family theme is one of my favourites. Thankfully, there's still lots of scope for future stories, even though this is number 21 in the series. I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series! 4.5 stars.

Ronan and Kevin reprise their roles as Cold Case detectives in this latest case. The two are brought in when the one case that was never solved is brought back in a most painful way. The two retired captains join up with current Cold Case Captain Hayes to re-open a decades old homicide case that haunts Fitzgibbon to this day. With Tennyson’s help will this tragic death finally reach its climax and will the CCP family survive to share in the details?

This author has done it again. The current captain on the cold case files comes to Ronan and Fitzgibbon to help solve a 20 year old case. As they go about looking for answers, it seems there are more questions than answers. Great action as they figure out who did it to give closure. I loved how you only find out close to the end of the book who really did it. Love this series and looking forward to reading more,

Another great addition to this series. This cold case took 20 years but these men finally figured it out. Along the way the dead speak, the guilty get their justice as does the victim. Some not so kind truths are revealed which add more depth to the book. Another very engaging and enjoyable story where the story is more than just romance but a guns a blazing action packed mystery. Somehow, Pandora Pine keeps writing books that are better than the last; even when the last book was phenomenal.
In this addition to the Cold Case Psychic, Faulkner asks Ronon, Ten, and Fitzgibbon with help on a cold case that Ronan and Fitzgibbon have connections to. What happens next will take you on the ride of a lifetime so be prepared for all the emotions and then some you didn't even know you had!

Another solid installment in the Cold Case Psychic series! In Dead Cold, Ronan heads back to the BPD—but just for one case. It was great to see him step back into that world while still staying true to how much he's grown since leaving. The mystery was engaging, the paranormal elements were as fun as ever, and I always enjoy catching up with this cast of characters.

After 21 books, the series still delivers the same charm and heart I’ve come to love. Looking forward to seeing what’s next!

This is another wonderful instalment in this series. I love the way these characters just look out for each other. They truly are friends and family. The plot was great. Still Love This Series

21 books deep into Cold Case Psychic and it seems like I just love Ronan and Tennyson more with every book. As usual, in Dead Cold, we get a good mystery with decent twists and turns to keep you guessing; familial love between Ten, Ronan and their children, as well as the brilliant found family bond between all the West Side Magick and West Side Detectives crews. I've loved these guys since book one and still can't wait for more. 4.5*

This was an entertaining story for me. I liked the storyline a lot. I liked the idea of the retired police officers returning to the Cold Case Unit to finish one very cold case. It was entertaining and it made me want to continue reading to the very last page.

This turned out to be a favorite in this series. I loved the interplay between Ten and Ronan as Ronan desperately wants to put that badge back on and Ten can only think of all the bad things they've been through. The cold case that definitely heats back up was beautifully done and I couldn't stop reading to see how this ended.

The boys are back!! In this latest mystery we see them working with BPD again as they try to solve a 20 year old murder from their past. This cold case gets everyone involved and I loved seeing all the family dynamics at work. It was so good to see the kids and just overall happy families. The case is interesting and the suspense on point as always just wish it was longer and more heat 😉
