Seven Sisters #3

The Bookstore on Amelia Island

Rate this book
A sisterhood saga full of family, faith, and friendship...

Life for widowed Grace Wingate Jenkins has been simple enough these past few years on Amelia Island, running a bookstore and raising a painfully shy toddler girl. But when that simple life is turned upside down, Grace realizes she’s also been given a gift in the form of a friend who has an entirely different perspective. Will that be enough as she navigates the next chapter as a single mother and bookstore owner?

With the discovery that their family isn’t quite what they thought it was, the seven sisters must unite as never before. And with the mix of many different personalities, problems, and perspectives, that isn’t as easy as they hoped.

When the clouds roll over the bookstore on Amelia Island, the Wingate women learn over and over again that the bond between seven sisters is as strong as steel, as gentle as an ocean breeze, and as lasting as their family legacy.

The Seven Sisters Series

The Wingate women are unique and unforgettable...but they all share inner strength, abiding love, a few quirky traits, and the ability to support each other through every challenge. This family is founded on love and laughter and a sisterhood unlike any other.

When their father suffers a stroke, all seven adult daughters instantly come together to support their mother, run the family business, and lean on each other as they always have. But as they gather at their parents' beach house on Amelia Island, the sisters soon learn that some are struggling in life and love, and picking up the pieces of the businesses along Wingate Way isn’t going to be easy.

The Seven Sisters series will consist of seven books with recurring characters, continuing stories, heartbreaking and hopeful moments, later-in-life romance, a touch of mystery, and lots of happy tears.

All of the books will be available in digital, paperback, and audio formats, launching in spring, 2023.

Like all of Hope Holloway’s books, this one has all the feels! I was nervous, excited, frustrated, hopeful, thrilled, and touched. I laughed, I cried, I couldn’t put it down! The Wingate’s are a delightful family who is always there for each other! I like Hope Holloway’s style in including everyone’s story throughout the book, and feel like I am visiting good friends when I settle in to read. The author does a good job in filling in the backstory for a reader who jumps in and starts here, but I highly recommend reading the books in order from the beginning. Take a trip to Amelia Island and feel the love!

My rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🏝📚🤰🎹

My thoughts: 🔖Page 149 of 292 Chapter Twelve Raina - This is even better than the last book although I'm about to give up on Blake's storyline, the only issue I'm having is there are so many storylines the wait to continue them between chapters is too long.

This was so good. If you read Family Drama/Romance these plots and storylines are all familiar but the writing and stories in this series are better than average and so enjoyable. I'm racing to the end.

Recommend to others: Yes. I'm hooked.

I am loving this series. I just ordered book #4 which will arrive the day I return home from vacation (3 days from now).

I tried to order book #5 as well. But it isn't out yet!!! My strong desire for immediate gratification to keep reading this series and not being able to is going to be brutal!!

I was pleased with this book. I was pleased with widow Grace finding her second shot at love with Isaiah. She opened her heart again and God or her husband brought her to exact perfect person for her and her daughter.

It All Leads Back to Home

This delightful series continues with focus on Grace Wingate, her daughter Nikki Lou, and her bookstore “The Next Chapter.” Grace also has a love interest named Isaiah hovering in the picture although she fights feelings for him out of loyalty to her late husband Nick. Grace finally gives in and allows testing on Nikki Lou to see if autism might be the source of her tantrums, unbelievable meltdowns, and unnatural clinginess. Isaiah offers to accompany the two and supports them any way he can. In the meantime Grace was supposed to have come up with a mind blowing idea for a fundraiser for the annual charity drive. What? Her sister Rose covers for her and swoops in with the idea of printing a calendar focused on citizens reading classic books. As Nikki Lou did test positively for being on the spectrum with autism, Grace had her hands full with learning and following all the recommendations for her better life. Rose takes over most of the calendar production. Then a television streaming company comes to town and creates a Christmas in July to film in the small Florida town. Youngest sister Chloe catches the attention of a producer, and suddenly she is off to LA to find her dream of becoming a TV news headliner. More side stories abound in this heartwarming book that is sooooo worth reading.

The Book Store on Amelia Island is the third installment in Hope Holloway's heartwarming Seven Sisters series, and it continues to deliver a wonderful blend of family, faith, and friendship. Grace Wingate Jenkins, a widowed mother running a bookstore on Amelia Island, has lived a simple life with her shy toddler daughter, but her world is about to change. As she faces the challenges of being a single mother and business owner, she discovers a surprising new friendship that provides a fresh perspective on her life.

Leslie Howard's narration brings this story to life, capturing the emotions and nuances of each character with precision. Her voice adds depth to Grace's journey and the relationships that unfold. The ending of this book left me with a huge smile, making it a truly satisfying read.

This series has been a joy to follow, and The Book Store on Amelia Island is no exception. It's a story about finding strength in family, facing challenges head-on, and embracing new beginnings. I'm already looking forward to starting The Florist on Amelia Island!

I love this book and this series. This book is mainly about Grace and her daughter Nikki Lou and Isaiah. Grace lost her husband while he was deployed overseas. Isaiah brought Grace his wedding ring and they've been close ever since.

Rose and Gabe are going through growing pains as have Raina who is looking for their nephew. The entire family is featured in the book, and you get to catch up with all of them. Except for very little about Sadie.

Raina is pregnant and meets a man selling a house that she loves. She meets with him and finds him interesting. She get to list the house through her nephew and wants to buy it but it's out of her price range. She still loves it.

Gabe is passed over for a promotion and Chloe wants to come home. She has been out in California and wants to move home as soon as she can. Chloe still dreams of the man she met and left.

The six sisters get together often and discover their father's secret love.

Some of the sisters find answers and some have questions about how their life is changing. This book focuses on Grace and her journey with her daughter and the loss of her husband. She finds that the way her life was going isn’t the way that it ends up. She doesn’t think that she will find someone to take her late husband’s place but what she finds is so much different and, in some ways, better.

Rose’s life seemed pretty much perfect until her husband’s unsatisfaction with his job makes her question her life. Will she be able to adjust or will it lead to other problems?

Everyone’s life takes a turn when they welcome a new member to the family. Will Raina find happiness in a new house and a new tenant? Can’t wait for the next book!

What a wonderful, heartwarming story with all the feel good emotions running through it! The love of family with the Wingates fills the reader with so much warmth and soul. There is hope, compassion, and peace. There is turmoil and life changes to be dealt with. There is a lovable three- year-old with special needs. There is the perfect family that maybe isn’t so perfect. I can’t say enough about the heartwarming emotions that ran through me as I read this book. I highly recommend it along with the first two in this series. I cannot wait for the next installment of Hope Holloway’s Seven Sisters series!

The Bookstore on Amelia Island by Hope Holloway, wish I could give more then 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hope is my favorite Author and she never disappoints.
This is book 3 of 7, and must be read in order.

Book 3 is about Grace, a widowed mother of Nikki Lou (age 3) and the owner of the bookstore. Although this book is about Grace and the bookstore, Hope always adds what's happening with the rest of the family as well. Grace is one of 7 sisters.
As Grace gets devastating news, she has to learn to cope with it. Luckily she has amazing friends and family to lean on.

I continue to recommend all of Hope's books best they are heart warming, family strong, new budding love stories.

It is Grace's turn to be at a pivotal point in her life after things all started with her Dad's heart attack and continued with Chloe coming to her senses at the last minute about Hunter, Tori finding love, as well as the secret Raina uncovered and seeing the vulnerable side of Susannah.
There is loads going on for the Wingate family and seeing Grace through the last two books struggle made me so devastated for her and Nikki Lou making you wonder how much more she can take before she breaks. In saying that the Wingate's are good at pulling their boot straps up and for Grace to have a man who is genuine and wants nothing but the best for her if she will let him in makes for a great read!

Just finished reading The Bookstore on Amelia Island. This was a very heart-warming book. My heart goes out to Raina. She has faced so much, but still stays as strong as she can. Rose and Gabe are a very loving and caring couple. I just love the closeness of this family. Each sister is their for each other through thick and thin. I love how each book tries to center around one sister, but also keeps up-to-date on the other sisters. This is such a fantastic series about a loving and close family. Hope Holloway you are an amazing author and your books touch the heart of this reader.

I am in awe of my reactions to the Seven Sisters Books so far. The "Bookstore of Amelia Island" was no exception. The author unfold each chapter to capture my focus and interest. Her writing flows and is so easy that I could see myself on the beach or on the street or in the bookstore! This family dynamic is a true blessing to all who read these books.
I has been a while since I have enjoyed reading books as healthy and delightful as this series!

The bookstore on Amelia island

This is definitely not my type of book and I only read it because I had to for the kindle challenge. Not a fan of “chick Lit” but this story does have a lot of characters with the same names as my family and my family is not that big! I stuck with it and it was fine, I guess….

They just keep better

If you like "Chesapeake Shores" TV show, you'll love these books. Each one in the series is better than the last. I love that there's no single focus in each book, but each sister is a part of each story, so all of their arcs are developed in each story, rather than just thrown into one book and barely mentioned in the others.

Again, another “you get exactly what you want” book in the series. The characters are all endearing, the setting is idyllic, the plot is rich enough without being complicated. It’s exactly the easy, low-stakes reading I need to fit in random pockets of time.
