You're always just one decision away from an entirely new life...
Ty Stone is enjoying life in Arizona and his new job with Door Kickers International, an organization dedicated to rescuing people from human trafficking. Then a high-profile raid on a movie mogul goes horribly wrong and Ty finds himself out on the street yet again.
Ty isn’t out of work for long. Some view his disregard for rules and his willingness to draw blood as an asset. Soon, a shadowy group with deep pockets decides Ty is just the man they need for a project they’re starting.
Days later, Ty is seated in a private jet destined for Central America. He's got a new job in a new town. Most importantly, he's got a new mission.
Franklin Horton lives and writes in the mountains of southwestern Virginia. He attended Virginia Intermont College and Virginia Commonwealth University. In his spare time he pursues outdoor adventures with his wife and two children. His interests include camping, kayaking, backpacking, mountain biking, and shooting.
I like the direction this story took. Changes to Ty’s situation make better use of his personality and skills. Several situations felt exaggerated and unbelievable if not physically impossible, but the story was good overall. I enjoyed it and felt satisfaction with the ending. Since it left off on a bit of a cliffhanger, I do hope Franklin Horton returns to this series at some point. Granted, I don't like it as much as his other works.
What I liked least was the audiobook narration. I realize Books 1 and 2 also had different narrators, but this third one was not to my liking. This one has a more robotic sound, with long pauses after every sentence. It broke up the flow. The style reminded me more of an old Dick Tracy, cheesy detective radio program. I almost didn’t make it past the first section, but am glad I held out. The narrator’s character voices were decent, and I got more used to the pacing after a while. Still, it's a long way off from what I would have preferred.
Wow ! The first has set the character of Ty up , this third book we are really into Ty an why he ticks. Can’t wait for number 4! Eye opener to sex trafficking . Drugs can only be sold once , but a body can be sold many times ! Stop and think about that ! Greed steps in business men are on the take as well as Hollywood it’s what’s happening in this world today ! Only we have politicians as well!
I’ve been a fan of Franklin Horton since reading the Borrowed World series and have read all his other books. This Ty Stone series is different and the characters are great. Not post apocalyptic as his other books but tells a good story and exposes the corrupt world we are currently living in. Good read.
This book kept me up all night! I sure hope a book 4 will be coming! I didn't expect to find a series I would enjoy even close to the Mad Mick series. I can't seem to find books I haven't read, to get interested in other than the ones by Franklin Horton, now my very favorite author.
The author is on top of things, with the first two books Just establishing who Ty is. Now the story is in full swing and I love OK forward to more sex traffickers getting their paycheck.
I am ready for the next book!!! When is the next book coming out? Can’t wait for it. LOVE LOVE THE NEW book. It took me about four days to read it and normally it takes me longer to a 📕
I loved this book by Franklin Horton. I also loved these characters. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I would recommend this book and all of this Franklin’s books.
Excellent story especially on the characters and the situations that made them the way they are. I think you find a great story and a good feeling after reading the book.
This book is the best of the Ty Stone stories so far, and obviously there is more to come. After some rocky times things are finally going Ty's way... or are they?
Another great book by Norton, he is an outstanding Author. The book keeps you hopping and looking over your shoulderr. Suspenfull and on the edge of your seat
