Bargain with the Boogeyman is dreadfully delicious! Sybil meets the Boogeyman as a young girl when he makes himself known to her as she's going to bed. Sybil's mother made a deal with him for a better life for the two of them and Sybil was the payment. The Boogeyman realizes she is must too young and promises on her 21st birthday he will return to collect his debt.

When the Boogeyman returns and whisks her away, he is unprepared for the woman she has become. She is no door mat or pushover and she demands respect despite the fact that she is the one at a disadvantage. Or is she?

"Be careful, this toy might break you. And what will you do then?"

"Break me? I'm the fucking Boogeyman..."

Sybil is smarter than anyone gives her credit for and strikes a deal with him because there is more at work here than a simple debt to be repaid. Will the Boogeyman be outplayed? Or perhaps the two of them will discover they can be so much more.

This was dirty, kinky, dark, depraved, violent, smutty, and all around a fun read. Even though it was short it packed a punch and I enjoyed the world and the characters Mixon created. I will definitely be checking out her backlist.

This was actually a really fun read. Some of it was cliche but I saw a thing on instagram about it iykyk and wanted to read. Read it in like under an hour so if anyone needs them book goals 😉

Used as a bargaining tool our FMC is unwillingly, tossed into a deal with a demon boogeyman. Who comes to collect her on her 21st birthday. Can you imagine living your life knowing that on your 21st birthday something horrible is coming for you!

Gahhh this was dark and delicious😈, our bogeyman only cares for death and destruction and uses the women. He captures, and then discards their bones into a pit.

Omg I love a good monster book. This is a smexy novella about the Boogman. Sybil and her mom are making a new start in a new town at 10 years old when she meets the Boogman in her room. For the next 11 years is waiting for her 21 birthday for him to come. This book has so much detail and a few omg moments and alot of holy smoke that's hot. I can't wait for the next one.

My first monster smut and I genuinely enjoyed it!

I’m blown away by the way this book flowed and how much story you got even though it’s a novella! I didn’t feel gypped on plot and certainly not on spice 🥵🥵

Thought this isn’t your typical vanilla spice, so you’ll want to check trigger warning because it won’t be for everyone. I loved the story, it felt slightly like a beauty and the beast retelling with its own dark twist.

If you’re looking for a Monster romance with - deals/payment, captivity, forced proximity, curses, spice (have I mentioned the spice?), and a preview into the characters to come in the next books you’ll love this!

Such a fun read! I’ve recently gotten into all things mythical/spicy and this book had it all! I read it in one sitting and couldn’t put it down. I’ve always been scared of the boogeyman but now I think I might want to meet him. You grow attached to the characters and I can’t wait for book two!

This is about Sybil and Master Efrain, a prince of Hell who also goes by the Boogeyman. Sybil's mother made a deal with the Boogeyman to get away from her abusive husband and have a good life for herself and Sybil. Payment is required for every deal made and the payment was Sybil, but she is too young, and the Boogeyman tells Sybil that he will be back for her when she turns 21.

This is a short book that I probably could have read in one sitting if I didn't struggle to get into the book at first. From chapter 7 to the end of the book I did read in one sitting because that is when I started really getting into the book. This is the first book that I have read from K.M. Mixon and the first true monster romance book. I have read vampire and shifter books before, but I have never read a book where the guy does not have a human and a monster form which took me a while to adjust to. Master Efrain or the Boogeyman is described as having red eyes, a forked tongue, horns, and onyx skin. I struggled a little bit with him not looking like a human during the sex scenes. At the beginning of the book, he said some mean and violent things to her that bothered me. I loved how he eventually softened towards her and that everything worked out between them. At the end of this book, we do learn that there is a book coming for one of Master Efrain's brothers and I am excited to read it when it comes out.

Loved both the main characters & the depth you get from them. The FMC is easy to fall in love. She’s fiery, but also very loving.

This is my first monster smut novel and let me tell you, Bargain with the Boogeyman did not disappoint!! I'm not going to lie. I was a little skeptical at first, but man did I enjoy the hell out of it! My only complaint is that I didn't want it to end. Regardless of this novel being less that 200 pages it has everything you could ask for. From gore and action to snarky banter and spice, Bargain with the Boogeyman is a truly smut-tacular book from start to finish. With elements almost Hades and Persephone esque, Sybil and Efrain's story is one to die for. (Pun intended ;)) Ms. Mixon delivered and I for one am definitely looking forward to the next book in the Ombre Monster series.

This was the second book I've read by K.M Mixon. It also happens to be my first monster romance. I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this short novella! I think my only complaint is that it wasn't longer!

The story itself kept my hooked and quit entertained throughout, and I found myself
captivated by Efrain and Sybil. The enemies to lovers aspect in the story was great and very
well done! I'm excited to see what K.M. comes up with next!

I had to DNF this one. The prologue was interesting, and I was curious to see how this plot would move as a novella, but even as a novella, I stopped because the FMC was, for me, a problem. She stomped her foot like a child when she was upset with the MMC, head butt or slap, or yell at and sneer at the MMC....the MMC whos a demon from a hellscape realm. It made zero sense. Like her 2nd time in life seeing a hellbound figure, and that's how you respond. Even though the FMC was annoying in a "she's a brat and a menace" way, I know some people enjoy those types of FMCs. My biggest reason for stopping is the world building. It felt choppy and chaotic but not in a fun narrative way, just in an inconclusive way. The way the MMC, aka Boogeyman, carried himself was a disappointment as well. Like, dude, you are a demon from maybe hell. Why are you acting like this and accepting this 😄

This was the first book I have ever read by K.M. Mixon but definitely won't be the last. As usual, I added this to my tbr and promptly forgot what the synopsis was so when I finally got to it I was so pleasantly surprised by it. I love a good monster romance anyways, but this had the added bonus of being a demon romance with a feisty FMC. Honestly I'm not sure who fell for the Boogeyman first, me or Sybil. This was such an original story and I loved the world building. The spice was top tier and beautifully integrated so that it was part of the story, not just a crutch. I'm notorious for only reading the first book of a series but I immediately got the second one as soon as I finished this book. I am very excited to see how all the Cursed Princes meet their match.

I was pleasantly surprised by Bargain with the Boogeyman. Usually Monster Romances are more porn than plot, but this was well-written and pulled me into the story. It’s a short, quick read that can be consumed in an an afternoon.
There is lots of deliciously dark smut to make your way through.

I would love to see some fan art for this book, too. I feel like you can interpret Efrain in so many different ways it would be cool to see a visual.

The only critique I would have is that the FMC calling the MMC Boogeyman during sexy times through me off a bit. Other than that, such a fun read!

I am really getting into the whole monster romance theme. So, happy to see one of my favorite authors has jumped into this trend. Who isn't afraid of the Boogeyman. Yet now that I know he can do amazing things with his claws and forked tongue, I welcome him to visit me anytime.

Despite Sibyl being afraid of Efrain, I love her spunky attitude that she gave to Efrain. Let's just say that his "punishment" was welcomed. As I stated earlier, he is very skilled with his claws and forked tongue. Just thinking about Efrain gives me "w@t" dreams. So, glad to see that this book is the first in this series as this book left me growling for more.

A maker of deals and cursed by his father Efrain hadn't felt anything for anyone, until he returns for her. But she wont bend so easily and wants a deal of her own. Well written steaming hot, paranormal, desires, drama and more!

This book is well written, fast paced with a great plot with twists to keep in hooked. Plus to spicy is hot and kinky. This monster romance is a great read and I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

Oh boy! Let me tell you, I read this book in just a couple of hours. It was perfection! The plot and chemistry between the two main characters is to die for. I felt the all of the emotions that Efrain and Sybil shared. This book made me laugh and had my heart racing (in a good way). K.M.
