The tale of the two donut shops continues. The author continues to keep the storyline fresh even though this is the 28th book in the series. This story is perfect to read in one or two sittings with characters that are entertaining and people you can empathize with. Perfect for binging too!
Well I'll be darned, Maggie didn't go and nearly get herself killed! Well, when she went searching for answers to who hid a body in her basement, she definitely was stupid for going to a house in the middle of nowhere with no cell phone reception looking for a potential murderer and hadn't told anyone, but no gun was aimed at her (although a shooting was involved in the making of this story...)
Orson and Maggie have so sweet words that actually made me tear up. Awwwe.
Ainsley’s book 29 is out! It’s called “Rolling in the Dough”. Must have JUST been released. There aren’t even any reviews yet! I’m too excited!
Maggie sure had a surprise when the workers found bones buried in her basement while doing her house renovations. Worried her family was somehow implicated in this, Maggie set out to do what she did best next to making donuts...sleuthing it out on foot and online. Since it was a cold case, there really wasn't any danger this time (relief!) but the interesting part was finding out who was buried and who might've done that person in! There were a few sweet moments with Maggie and Orson who she looked to as a surrogate dad. Can't wait to borrow the next book!

Lots of twists and turns with a surprise ending. A fun read.
