The price of betrayal.......
I was hoping this book would be as good as the first, and i wasn't disappointed WOOHOOO..... i was on the edge of my seat and couldn't put it down, i stayed up late into the night to finish it. Im loving the characters, erin langley, the feisty, no nonsense woman and zane morelli. Well, what more can i say about him!!!!!!!! He has stolen a piece of my heart. Gotta love a bad boy with a big heart and a feisty woman. I was shouting at my Kindle in parts, NO NO NO, that can't happen. I highly recommend this, which is a 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read, shocks galore, fast-paced, exciting, heart in your mouth moments. What more could you ask for? I can't wait for the next book in this series, if there is one??? If there is, i hope it's soon...... if you're looking for a new series in Gangland, this has to be it.

This author never disappoints me.
The scarred series book two.
The price of betrayal costs dearly.
Zane Morelli, he is the true heir, and fights for whatever it takes to get it, while his brother Marco and new sister in law Hazel are away on honeymoon, Hazel's father Trevor Grimes after selling his daughter to the firm thinks he is now part of the family empire and can live his life in luxury, till Zane walks in and Trevor is shot through his skull, all his planning has been for nothing, and nothing and nobody is ever going to stand in Zane Morelli's way. Nobody had better cross his path.
WOW what a slap bang book two, that's full of fast pace pages and leaving you saying just one more chapter, I enjoyed the first book so much and this book two deserves an almighty ten not five.

So good! Gritty gang style action and larger than life baddies. The action keeps coming at you not even giving you time to breathe and the gore certainly isn’t spared. Then there are the ever moving and changing family allegiances and dynamics to keep track of as they fight to remain top dog.
There are many of the moment contemporary crime themes such as sex trafficking and drugs which are tackled head on and with a sense of realism.
There are plenty of heart stopping moments, both in terms of fear and gore but also love and genuine care between some of the characters. This book has it all and left me wanting more. A definite recommend.

Absolutely brilliant book once again by Edie.
Once again we step in to the world of Zane Morelli
We get shocks we get suspense and violence a family at war.
I strongly recommend buying this book as I absolutely loved it.

I really enjoyed this gripping gangland thriller. The first of this genre I have read in a long while and it did not disappoint. I felt so invested in the characters and the story between Zane and Marco Morelli. There were so many twists and turns and now I cannot wait for book 3 so that I can find out how it all turns out.
(It is worth noting as well that this book can be read as a standalone book).

This is my first book by Edie Baylis and I am already downloading the first book in this series. I loved this book and it didn’t matter that I hadn’t read the first book in the series.
Zane Morelli has been released from prison and he is determined to get back what is rightfully his - as the oldest son he is the family heir but his younger brother Mario has taken everything while Zane was in prison.
Mario has changed direction with some parts of the business and Zane isn’t happy. Zane’s girlfriend Erin is helping him to take everything back from Mario but they’ve got a fight on their hands. Mario doesn’t care who gets in the way and will stop at nothing to hold onto the business and the family penthouse apartment.
A fab book and I can’t wait to read the next instalment of the Morelli’s.

The Price of Betrayal by is the second book in the Scarred series and you can read it as a standalone as I haven’t read the first.
Zane and Marco are brothers but that were the connections end. Zane has just come out of prison and wants to take back heading the family Morelli firm from his brother Marco. So, he is trying to reconnect with members of the firm before his brother took over and keeping his head down. He doesn’t want to let his brother know his is out. Until he can get his plan up and running. But that is easier said than done.
Marco is on his honeymoon with his new wife Hazel, who is daughter of Trevor Grimes. Now they are married they think that they are now part of the firm. Until Marco gets a phone call to say, not only his brother is out of Prison, but Trevor Grimes has been shot dead. The cut short their honeymoon and head home.
This is the first book from Edie Baylis I have read and what a great introduction to her book it is. This is a gripping, Gangland crime drama. Full of action from and suspense from the very first page. I really enjoyed this, and I will now be looking out for the other books that they have written. 5 stars from me.

A brilliant 1nd installment of this gritty underworld drama . Plenty of action to be seen here. Zane is back and Marco doesn't like it . Telling the tale of trafficking abuse and all round crime ...Onto the 3rd one now

This book is the second in the 'Scarred' series following the lives of London gangsters Marco and Zane Morelli and the power struggle between them as they fight for control over 'The Firm'. In this instalment, Zane has gained an ally and love interest in Erin, the woman who previously wanted him dead. Zane lost the majority of the members of his firm whilst in prison for a crime he didn't commit.
As far as you can call a gangster of any kind 'good', Zane is the good brother and Marco is the bad one, but Zane has no idea of the depths which Marco is willing to sink to in order to rebrand the firm so to speak, and only Zane and Erin can stop him.
It's another gripping rollercoaster with another cliffhanger making me grab for the next instalment. Overall, this series reads like a soap opera for the underworld.
