The alien warlord triad has one obsession. Tame the planet. Put me on the throne… and sire their crown princes
Ra’al. Orr. Kriz. Three enormous beast of men who command a legion of Aurelians, the huge, marble-skinned aliens who exist to find their Fated Mate and tame her. They were built for war. Kings through conquest, they stamp down all resistance without mercy.
They tell me they will build me a palace. It would only be a cage. But because I took up a rifle and defended the other servants when our planet was under attack, by the laws of their species, I am a free woman…
Unless I trade myself willingly to them. Unless I sacrifice myself to save the life of another by dooming myself to captivity in the hands of the brutal warlords.
But if I give myself to the three warlords who are kings of a conquered planet, I'll lose more than just my freedom. They believe I am their Fated Mate, and if that is true, they will Bond me to them for eternity and never let me go. The dark link between a human woman and an Aurelian warrior changes you. It brings out all your darkest, deepest desires, and when I am alone in a room with the three huge men, I'm terrified by what they make me ache for.
While Bonded Queen is best read as part of the series, it can also be enjoyed as a standalone romance. Over seventy million pages read in the Aurelian Empire - Take a look inside because you will get a feel for the writing style of this sci fi alien warrior romance!
This is the second book in this series and I didn't read the first book in this series, but that didn;t matter at all. This book can be read as a standalone like I did.
I did read some other books from this writer about the Aurelian empire, because of that the way it works with a triad is familiar for me to read about. Especially when they know they have a mate with which they can be bonded, there is no stopping them. Even not the horrors they were going through in the past.
Rachel is almost done with her 10 years being a servant when the baron on other wealthy people escape from their planet. This is because they knew the planet was going to be attacked and nobody would survive the scorps who are coming. Rachel, Kay and Summer won't give up and do try to keep the monsters away from their estate. When it seems they will no longer be able to hold them off they got help from rogue aurelians. When the battle is over to Rachel her surprise she knows a triad, because of a vision she had. She is their mate.
When she makes a mistake, the only thing to rescue herself is offer herself to the triad. The three generals Ra'al, Kriz and Orr have been living and fighting for centuries and now they finally are together with their mate. What follows is them getting to know each other through and through in very explicit ways. Although Rachel has feelings for them, she still can't surrender totally to them.
Not wanting to spoil more of the story, you have to read it yourself. You will like it when you are into hot aliens who certainly can take care of their mate.
So good! I swear each book gets better and better. A triad of generals go to save their mate on an Aurelian Empire planet. The planet is not protected by the Aurelian's and evil Scorp are attacking trying to wipe out the whole planet. Luckily they save their mate and people. They bond in front of the planet and are crowned kings and queen to rule over the planet. Thanks to Obsidian they were able to get to the planet safely. There's another attack on the planet, on the palace. The triad are so scared of losing their mate that they make her live in a large underground bunker. Life goes on and her triad are called to war. They leave and she's a mess worrying about them. Since they're bonded she feels everything. All the wounds they receive. They come home for 4 weeks and have to go to war again. She can't live through it again so she takes a ship and leaves while wearing a bond disrupter ring. Her triad will not feel her. Her men go crazy thinking she was kidnapped but soon realize she left. Sorry for the long synopsis, lol. Great book!! I absolutely loved it!! Already started the next book in the series.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. I thought that this was another good Aurelian triad story. It once again shows us more of Obsidian and his followers. Rachel has the personality and strength to become this triad's queen, but she has to commit and submit. With everything that's is working against them, their bond is still there. I liked the characters overall. The storyline was full of danger, violence, conflict, tension, doubts, loyalty and high heat. It has just a couple a slow areas, but picks up again. The war with Jasmine has been building. I've followed this series from the beginning and have been slowly getting that full picture of their worlds, differences, beliefs and commonalities. Fated Mates are their greatest strength and weakness. I plan on following it to the end because I just cannot imagine how it all plays out. Good and bad on both sides
This war has me on high alert. This may be the second book in this series, but the intensity of the war with Queen Jasmine is really felt. I've followed this universe from the start, become immerse in it. Now I am looking at the other side, the fanatics, and they lived up to their name. But someone redeems them, their fated mate. The Aurelians desire to find their fated mate is the thing that drives them but at what cost.
The author has created a universe where nothing is black and white.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow! This was so good… Generals Ra’al, Kriz, and Orr left the Aurelian Empire to join Obsidian’s troops in fighting for their mates. The triad of Aurelians Generals were led through orb shifts by the War-God Obsidian to their fated mate Rachel. The brutal generals as well as Rachel have a lot to overcome before they can get to a happy ending… I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
I read the first book in this series quite a while ago when it was released. I just came about the series again and was excited to read it! I was slightly disappointed because it was very confusing with Raal going in and out of present time with past situations and not really being told that it was going on so I totally lost interest and skipped parts of the book with him in it! I’m not interested in the other ladies so I probably won’t read any more from this series!
I wasn't sure if I should give this three or four stars. Three stars because of the annoying, "I love my triad, but I want to leave them" trope that seems to play out with almost every fated mate. Four star because the triad was haunted by past failures. Kinda dark.
Read the ebook 2023. Listened to the audiobook 2024. So happy that some of these are coming out in audio. I LOVE the Aurelian books, I have read them ALL and hope there will be many more!
