Thank you so much for reading my profile and happy reading!
This was such a sweet little mystery set in 1950. I loved how Tabby was smart and strong (for that era, at least we don't hear about a lot of it unless it's in mysteries) and wasn't putting up with anything once she found out what some people were scheming to do. It was great how any baddie got their comeuppance, and I really enjoyed the epilogue telling how everything wrapped up and what people were doing about a year later. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for more in this series to borrow when they're out! I love the short cozies I've read so far by this author. She doesn't disappoint!
Excited for the first book in a new cozy mystery series to release March 30, 2023.
Tabitha Clive was introduced in a earlier series as a feisty 93 year old woman who likes to solve mysteries, write romance and lives life to the fullest.
Well... In this new series, we meet her as a young woman in 1950 who finds herself unraveling a mysterious murder that has the small town of Kornville on edge and her family’s good name in jeopardy.
This story introduces Tabatha Clive. A young woman at the start of her journey through life. She uncovers a group of ne'er-do-wells that have untoward plans for her lovable 1950's hometown and cracks open their schemes. Nick and Nora the family cats are invaluable in foiling the crooks. I look forward to meeting Tabatha in her next adventure. Highly Recommended.
I really liked reading this book. The story introduced you to Tabitha Clive as a young lady. It’s very entertaining as meet meet the two cats, the bakery that makes the cobblers and other people in the story. I highly recommend this book!
Tabitha Clive, baker, journalist, and amateur sleuth, loves rural Kornfield, Nebraska, just the way it is, but does the dead body cover a con? Promising beginning to a new series.
