Ellie Masters has such an awesome way with words!!! Right from the start of their off road adventures, I could actually visualize everything from Chase's Jeep to the stars that light up the sky at night!

Nonstop action and suspense that had my adrenaline pumping until the very end!!

Also loved getting a peek at my favorite Guardian Hostage characters!!!

Beyond brilliant writing and highly recommended by me!!!

Wow and wow again!! I would give this book 10+ stars if I could. It starts out fast and just keeps getting better and better with so much action and suspense. Cara and Chase who are the main characters have some amazing chemistry right from the git go and I loved the way they talked to each other, teasing, serious and some sexy banter. I could easily picture them in my mind. Anyway, I really recommend reading this book!! I totally loved it!!

I absolutely love this book! Ellie Masters has truly outdone herself with this story. This is the next book in the Guardian Protector series. Cara is running for her life. She is terrified and stressed out. She landed at the airport and things went slightly sideways. The person who was supposed to meet her was delayed but, Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists were there to assist her. Cara and Chase got off to a rocky start. Cara is definitely not a fan of having orders barked at her, even if it is to save her life. Chase is a former Army Scout sniper and expected Cara to follow his orders, no matter what. They run into several hiccups along the journey to safety. Chase is impressed with the way Cara participated in her own rescue. She became a partner to help him. They have a lot to get through to get the HEA they deserve. Get this book ASAP and find out what happens. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

Cara is a new protectee for the Hostage Rescue Specialist, Protection branch and their new agent Chase...her father was murdered by Artemus Gonzales, a wealthy Nicaraguan businessman who was in league with the Minister of Interior of that country for a human trafficking ring...and as an employee of the US state department, her father provided buyers for the enslaved women, with his daughter witnessing the murder...and Cara's whereabouts has been compromised for the second time...Although she and Chase are attracted to each other, she finds him domineering, insufferable, infuriating and obnoxious with his rules...but as they are discovered deep in the high desert, his sniper skills keep her safe for now...but how are they being tracked??? Cara's Protector is a fast paced, Romantic Suspense. It was so good I could not put it down.
Chase is an army ranger and a new Guardian Protector and he is tasked with protecting Cara, as she is in WITSEC and he takes her off the grid to keep her safe. But somehow the people after her keep finding her.
These two have instant chemistry, and I loved the witty banter between them.
This was such an exciting book, and I cannot wait for Barbi's book and Paul's Book! And I need to find out what is going on with Forest!
As usual, Ellie Masters keep's you on the edge of your seat wanting more.

This was my favourite Ellie book yet. I loved every page. The book was so entertaining I couldn’t stop reading. This book didn’t lose momentum once, each page was as good as the last one. Chase and Cara were perfect together. I loved Forest and Paul’s part in this story. Please please please let Forest be ok! I’m getting more and more worried about him! The Chase and Skye surprise was unexpected! This sets us up nicely for Alec and Barbi’s story and then Paul’s! I just can’t wait. Brilliant book.

This was action packed from beginning to end. So hard to put it down to do adult things, like sleep. I loved the initial meeting and then interaction between Chace and Cara. I so enjoyed the description of the landscape and miles that Chase and Cara covered. Wonderful characters. Loved it when the crew came together. Just an amazing storyline to go along with an amazing series. This series and especially Cara's Protector leaves me wanting more. NOW!

I really enjoy the Guardian books, especially the Bravo team and it's nice to catch up with previous characters. Chase is new to the franchise and Guardians with Cara being his first job. Constant action is a given for these books and this is no exception.

Oh boy, this story will have your head spinning. The bad guys seem to have a way to know where their prey is hiding. How? Cara is on the run for her life. After witnessing her father’s murder the bad guys want her dead too. Why? Cara’s father served as a diplomat in Nicaragua for many years. Sadly he was corrupted by the evil cartel lead by Maximus Angelo and corrupt politician Artemus Gonzales. Cara’s been in Witness Protection but each time the cartel has found her so her last hope is with the Guardian Hostage Rescue HRS Specialists…AND…right off the bat the cartel is on their tail! The Bravo team gets away and delivers Cara to her new protector, Chase Lawson. This is Chase’s first HRS assignment. His qualifications are pretty awesome. This big bear of a guy was an Army Special Forces Sniper, then for a short time he was in the FBI but HRS is a better fit for his abilities. When Chase and Cara first meet Cara is upset, ridged, and angry. They rub each other the wrong way every time they open their mouths…BUT…there is an undercurrent of attraction going on too.
Chase is an outdoor survivalist so that is where they head figuring no one would find them in no-mans-land BUT no matter how far they go the enemy tracks them down! Good thing Chase has the resources of HRS and with all of the team they save Cara.
Chase is attracted to this scared beauty but holds back those feelings to do his job. Smart-mouthed argumentative Cara is about at the end of her rope. Her WHY this! WHY that, is getting to them both. They are about to explode but happily when they do it’s HOT! They deserve the love they find in each other’s arms. There is lots of mystery around Cara! I loved this book! It has the perfect blend of romance and suspense. Cara is a mixture of snark, vulnerability and inner strength. She holds her own against the tough, gruff and determined Guardian and former Army Ranger who is in charge of keeping her safe. Chase doesn’t know what to make of his charge at first. She seems bent on going against him and making trouble although he acknowledges to himself that it is more than just anger she is sparking to life within him. Time alone off the grid lets them both see a different side of each other and sparks up the attraction between them to dangerous levels. Chase can see that Cara is terrified, struggling to find her equilibrium and trying to stay strong at the same time. Cara discovers that Chase is much more than his impressive skills. He has a tender side, has his own vulnerabilities and is fighting to keep his desire for her under control. She starts to feel safe and more comfortable around him. Unfortunately, Cara is still being tracked and pursued, forcing Chase to use all of his deadly skills to keep her safe and then to call on the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists team for additional backup. As the threats escalate and their pursuers seem to grow in number, their relationship grows into one much more intimate and passionate. It soon becomes clear that their hearts are involved, but is a happily ever after even possible for this couple?

OMG things are REALLY coming together with this book. I write this in many of my Ellie Masters book reviews that although this can be read as a standalone story, the reader will get so much more if you read the full series. Think about it like that puzzle where the pieces are animals. Individually the animal is complete and great but when added to the other animals in the puzzle it creates something bigger and better. That's what this is.

This story is Chase who is a Guardian Protector. He works alone to protect one individual unlike the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists who work as a team. Chase has been assigned to protect "Cara" - not her real name but the one assigned to her after her life fell apart. Cara was previously in Witness Protection after witnessing something she shouldn't have but after her handler is killed the Guardian Protectors step in.

The action in this book is off the charts, along with the chemistry between Chase and Cara. The two are on the run and off the grid but somehow the bad guys seem to find them. Cara is a solid female character who holds her own. Chase does what can can on his own but it soon becomes apparent that he needs help when he is unable to shake the people coming for Cara.

This book is mostly Chase and Cara but includes the usual team of Forrest, Mitzy, Skye and Bravo Team. The ending of the book also sets up the next book in the Bravo series - Rescuing Barbi. This book also has a big WHAT moment but no spoilers!

This is book six in The Guardian Protecters Personal Protection Specialist Series and it is Cara and Chase’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Cara has been in witness protection because she witnessed the murder of her father and now the person wants her dead but now her handler is dead and now she is to have someone else take over her protection but Cara is scared, nervous, and anxious and also hoping that Guardian HRS can protect her until she can testify especially after everything that she has been through. Chase works as a protector for Guardian HRS and he is supposed to get to Cara only there has been a accident so Rafe, Hayes, Zeb and Alec are meeting her and taking her to where Chase will meet her especially as he likes to work alone. This book will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and the twists and turns just keep coming and will have you turning the pages to find out what will happen next and if will they all get out alive. Chase and Cara are so perfect together and even though they had a really rocky start as time went on they worked together well and the attraction and chemistry between them was so hot, strong and intense but there main concern was staying alive and eliminating the threat and then hopefully they would get the chance to explore what they are feeling and get the happiness and future that they both deserve. Wow this series just gets better and better with each book written and I have to say that this book in one of my favourite. There are danger, drama, secrets, betrayal, steam, action, suspense, a enemy that just keeps finding them, frustration, surprises, mystery, page turner, addictive, hope, love and a bonus that you definitely need to read. This book will have you on the edge of your seat while holding your breath and I can’t wait to read the final book in this amazing series. Ellie Masters is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her readers attention and engaged in her story’s and her books are definitely worth reading.

Ellie Masters has done it again, another scorching hot, action packed story in which the dark tangled web Ellie has so carefully woven through the Bravo Team series and Protector series of the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists starts to tighten, threatening an innocent women.

Cara witnessed her father being murdered, now her fathers killers are coming after her. When witness protection fails to keep her hidden, Chase one of the Guardian Protectors is assigned to keep her safe.

From the moment Chase and Cara meet, sparks fly between them. Chase might be able to keep Cara safe from the cartel, but who is going to keep Cara safe from Chase? Whilst Cara and Chase dance around each other and that steamy, combustable chemistry becomes unbearably hot, they are also playing cat and mouse trying to stay hidden. The conumdrum is how do the cartel keep finding Cara? The answer to that question you will have to find out yourself.

Cara and Chase's journey is not only incredibly hot, but one where you really see Cara grow so much from an innocent women who found out the atrocitys her father had been involved in just before he was killed. As Cara and Chase's journey comes to a end (for now, purely guessing we haven't seen the end of them yet), we get a glimpse of the final Bravo team member but are left waiting, begging and pleading for the final installment of Bravo team and more so needing to know whats wrong with Forest !!

Oh my gosh! Chase and Cara are perfect for one another!
Chase has been assigned to protect Cara from someone trying to kill her. This is his first op working with the Guardians so he is giving it his all.
Cara just can’t catch a break! How do this people keep finding her and why do they want her dead?
Meeting up with Chase, Cara is going off grid but she had no idea how off grid he was taking her. Just meeting each other, they didn’t get along and it could be because Chase was used to giving simple orders and they be followed no questions asked but Cara always asked questions and was looking for answers.
After running into issues in various locations that no one knew about, they had to determine how they were still being found in the middle of nowhere! Cara has had everything she owned taken from her, well almost. She still held on to her grandmother’s watch but after the last debacle she had to give it up. They needed to know if it was being used to track her location.
The enemy kept finding them and after a few bullets and a train ride, they meet up with Forest and some of the Guardians, together they hope to come up with a solution to keep Cara protected and safe.

Chase and Cara get their HEA and we get an inside look at Forest and what lies ahead for him! Definitely a must read!!! Ellie Masters does not disappoint but if you have read her material, you know that already!!!

Cara's Protector has something of a different vibe to it.There's no team mission instead Chase Lawson works alone. He trained as Scout Sniper and worked in isolation. He still prefers that which makes him the perfect protector. Taking his charge, Cara Jade, off the grid and into the Great Basin where she must rely on his expertise to stay safe and alive was very interesting. Chase is gruff and unyielding in his role as her protector. To say these two get off to a rocky start would be an understatement. Cara is reeling from betrayal and running from a man who finds her no matter where she goes and with whom. But, she's no wilting flower. Chase soon learns she gives as good as she gets. Teaching her to survive and giving her new skills sooths out the rough spots between them. However, the attraction is white hot and giving into temptation is not in either's best interest and yet. No matter how far or how slow or fast they run, Cara's pursuers keep coming. Chase and Cara are definitely meant to be but how and when they get their HEA may surprise you. Fantastic book!!!

Cara's Protector was a thrilling adventure, a dangerous game of cat and mouse against a deadly Cartel who'll stop at nothing to get their prey. 

Cara is terrified for her life, on the run with the Cartel hot on her heels, her only option is to put her trust in Guardian Protector Chase, to keep her safe. 

Chase and Cara don't hit it off straight away, they rub each other the wrong way and throw  snide little jabs at each other, which I found quite funny. 

There are more than sparks flying between Chase and Cara as they race for survival. 
The intensity of their situation ignites the sizzling chemistry between them, and OMG was it smoking hottt!! 

I always enjoy the non stop action these books deliver. I love the danger, the adrenaline rush, the insta lust and the passion. The bond between all the Guardians is still my favourite thing.
They are one big dysfunctional family who will do whatever it takes to protect each other and those who need help, I love them. 

I'm excited for the next adventure and I need Forest to open up and be okay.

Love on the run

Chase and Cara. We met them both briefly in the previous book when part of Bravo met Cara at a plane and took her to Chase after a failed witsec protection. Now we get our first story of the Protectors that Forest mentioned. This is one person protecting someone, not a full team. Chase isn’t solo though as he still has Mitzi, Sam, CJ, Skye and Forest. Cara is a conundrum at first but that fits as she is on the run for her life. There was a nice twist with how the cartel kept finding Cara and I loved the role family played in it and in the storyline the Bravo team has had with the cartel, human trafficking and Nicaragua. Their romance is not immediate, but also not unexpected. Their story is colorful and vivid with the topography, vehicles, buildings and people. I loved the mountain cabin and the revelations that were made there, especially for Chases family. The ending spends more time with Forests health so I am looking forward to more details on that in future books!

Wonderful Guardian Protector Story!!

Cara watched her father die. Unfortunately he was involved in the trafficking, but was about to testify and join the Witness Protection Program. We catch up with her as she loses her Witness Protection handler, who sends her to the Guardians as their system has a leak. A fast-paced chain of events as the experts try to figure out why no matter what they do, a new team comes to take her out.

The bad guys have a long reach, and they are high-tech giving Mitzi and her expertise a run for the money. Totally fascinating, between camping off-grid in the desert and using drones and Rufi (IYKYK).

Completely captivating as we watch the team pull out all the stops, and growing feelings between Cara and her protector Chase. If you have read many in this series, you get foreshadowing on what is ahead. I always enjoy this series, but am more eager for what comes next!

Ellie Masters has done it again. I could not put this book down as it moves closer to the conclusion of the Bravo Team series. Cara is in hiding from Artemus Gonzales who has already killed her father and his handler. Calling in Guardian HRS she is assigned Chase and they do everything they can to stay one step ahead but no matter what they do Artemus' men continue to find them, each time in greater numbers. Trying to avoid their attraction to each other fails and both will do whatever it takes to protect the other. but Cara has information that will bring down Artemus and Maximus and they will do whatever it takes to destroy Cara and the information. Full of action and adventure together with some heat and steam, this book will engage and captivate you from beginning to end. I cannot wait for the concluding book of this series.

Ellie is one author who always writes a story that totally engages you and has flipping pages as fast as you can I always have to make a concerted effort not to start her books late in the day because I know if i do i will end up reading until the early hours of the morning because I won't want to put it down until I turn the last page

Cara's life in thrown into turmoil when she sees her father murdered placed in Witsec she is awaiting the trial of the men who killed him But danger is stalking her how are the cartel finding where she is When her protection officer is gunned down he has enough time to give her the contact information of the Guardians before he dies. Now she is placed in the care of Chase a former Spec Op sniper who has the skills to keep her safe and who is willing to teach her those skills so she can keep herself safe What they didn't expect is that they would fall for one another can he keep her alive and can they have a future You will have to read to see

I’m loving the progression of this series, how the author entwined the underlying storyline whilst giving the MC’s space to have a romance too.

Chase is a typical Guardian Alpha and I loved how he and Cara fell for each other and the journey they went on.

I disliked Cara for about 5 mins early in the book (IYKYK the scene) but I quickly recovered when it went further and I totally got where she was coming from and the stress she was under. I loved how she was quick to apologise and take what she wanted, pushing Chase when she decided they had to do this, but equally being strong enough to say no earlier with good reasons.

A fab read with lots about it - I ask again - WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH FOREST!!!! Enquiring minds NEED to know

Looking forward to Barbi’s story now too.

I have read most of the books Ellie Masters has written. She's a favorite author who writes well with great storylines and wonderful characters. I love how her books and series tie together. I have missed reading a couple of the books before this one, so I know I'm missing some from the overall storyline. This is an excellent standalone as I easily followed without feeling like I'm missing important information. I do plan to go back and read what I've missed though! Chase and Cara have a bumpy start, but their attraction concurs all. Sweet and sexy, they learn to work together to keep both of them alive. The suspense had me turning pages as fast as I could read. I figured some out before the reveal, but had a whooper of a shock elsewhere. I cannot wait for the next book.

When all he can think of is having her in his bed.there are so many twists and turns to this story you will be riveted until the very last page.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

3.5 Stars - Cara's Protector is the newest installment in the Guardian Protectors series by Ellie Masters. I have read some, but not all of the previous books and I had no problems following along with this one. Cara's Protector is a fast-paced romantic suspense.

Chase is assigned to protect Cara when she reaches out to his employer after the government agent in charge of of her protection is killed. Chase and Cara's relationship starts out rocky but it's not long until they gel into a partnership and romance.

Overall, I liked Cara's protector. There were some things that bugged me but I can't get into those without spoilers. The main thing that I didn't care for was the ending. Cara and Chase's story felt unfinished. The book didn't even end on them, it had moved on to other characters and storylines. As it is, Chase and Cara's story has a HFN (happy for now) ending. I wanted more closure for them.

Fast paced intense and action packed, this suspended rescue mission romance was off the charts yummy!
Cara and Chase’s story was so much fun to read she’s in serious danger and he’s assigned to rescue her. Things don’t go as planned as they are both stubborn, independent and dry in their ways. She doesn’t like taking orders or directions, he doesn’t like being questioned and being told no. The result is a unique story with sexual chemistry you can cut with a knife, snarky humor and sensuous chemistry. As they get to brake down their own barriers they see the other in a different light and what happens you’ll have to read to find out!

Cara saw her father murdered, was placed in Witness Protection, and it failed, leaving her in the hands of a Guardian Protector. Chase has a lot of talents and strengths which work well to keep them ahead of the danger. The two characters are at odds but once he starts to teach her how to survive, she has something to focus on and the sparks start to fly. Loved their chemistry, personalities and steamy encounters. The storyline has drama, danger, twists, betrayal, surprises, vivid locales, deception, hidden agendas, and a few background mysteries as well. Terrific ending and looking forward to the next book and possibly some more answers.

I love the Protectors

There is a surprise in this book and more in the bonus chapters that Ellie provides for you. The bonus chapters made me feel better. Can't share anything, because you have to read the book and get the link to the bonus chapters. I am not spoiling it for you.

I really enjoy the Protectors. What is not to love for your fantasy male. Alpha, protector, strong, special forces or equal talents, definitely Dominate. Cara and her yummy protector had plenty of action, tension and steamy sex as they evaded the bad guys, usually by eliminating them, time and again until they figured out how the bad guys kept tracking them. Like I said there is a pleasant surprise in this book.

Looking forward to the last Bravo team member's story..
