I hate to see this series end. The Tempest were unique, from their upbringing, to how they all lived their lives as adults. With each book I read, I wanted to be someone they included in their inner circle, the chaos of their normal get togethers called to me.
I really hated how this one opened, hated how Sin was being treated and hated that she didn't see it, not even when her family talked to her about things. Then when things went from bad to worse for her, I loved that her family was there for her, all it took was that one call and they had her back 100%, even if they got dragged into a mess.
Blaze, his family and the community he was from brought an interesting aspect to this one. I liked that there was a long standing history of Blaze's family and community with the Tempests and that they tried to help when they could. I loved it more learning that Blaze was in love with Sin before he was 10 years old and that never went away. I really liked that when Sin and her kids needed a safe place he was able to provide it for her and all of the other Tempests too. By staying with Blaze, Sin got to see what she had been missing in her life, by having someone by your side that was there to help you, not cause you more work.
It was fun when Sin realized her feelings changed, funnier still when she called a war council with all of her siblings to talk about it, if she should be allowed to feel those feelings and what she should do about it. About the only thing that was better was the aftermath, both from Blaze and form the women in Sin's family.
I loved how this one ended, loved that we got to see Sin and Blaze living their lives happy, their kids thriving, their extended family all still around and everyone still giving everyone else grief, but all in love.
