UNAPOLOGETIC by Monique Moreau
If you have read Unforgivable you will want to read this novella, and if you haven't it's a great intro into Lucian and Star's Bully Mafia Romance. This story takes place at a large wedding reception where the two clans gather to celebrate as A Lupu clan prince marries a Popescu clan princess. Star tries to leave the event unnoticed but it doesn't take long for Lucian to go after her. These two have so much chemistry but you can see how they get under one another's skin so easily. This was a quick read that I would definitely recommend.

This review is only for the Nicole Banks addition “To Tempt”. This is the prequel to her upcoming Novel “Allure” and to say I’m ravenously waiting for it is not an exaggeration. It contained the perfect amount of plot and spice to lead you up to the upcoming novel and be already addicted. The MMC is a former lover/boyfriend that FMC leaves to get married and this picks up years later when she is getting divorced. This novella is about the past and present with the cliffhanger making you wonder about their future.

For this review, I am talking about Unapologetic by Monique Moreau. It’s the prequel to her book Unforgivable and Star and Lucian. This is a bully romance. This prequel shows you how it all started with them and leaves you wanting more. It was so good.

Rich Rogue
Sensationally written story about an owner of a casino and the sister of the owner of the other casino which was also the casino owner’s best friend. The woman was an event planner who mainly deals Eco-friendly event planning. The owner of the casino was not like most casino owners he prided himself in being one of the only casino owners who didn’t do anything shady, he tries to keep all of his business above board. They have both been wanting each other for a long time.
He took over the family casino after his father past but he wouldn’t do any business with unsavory people. On his father’s deathbed the father informed his family of a daughter that he had from an affair. He was once a womanizer but after his thought started going towards his best friend’s sister.
She has had a crush on him since she was young, even though she has a crush on him she still won’t do anything about it because she thinks that all casino owners are shady. She has thought that since she was young seeing her father and his father beating a man and shoving the man in a trunk of a car. Her brother has put her a short leash so wants to leave the casino, the town as well as the state. She tried to leave when she went to college but she went back to the casino. Now she’s an event planner, mainly for Eco-friendly events and galas. When she gets enough money she’s planning on leave.
He was at the usual poker game with his brother and his best friend, his best friend lost the game and gave up his ticket for the gala that he was to be his sister’s escort to. During the poker game his younger brother was going on about making him the head of the hotel resort part of the business, he thought he should have been given the head of the casino part but he told him that he needed to prove himself.
She stood there at the gala waiting for her brother. When she say him come in she was upset with her brother. He got to her side and when she was to make her speech he took her to the stage. She tried to avoid him but when she was talking to a guy who paid for her event planning expertise at the auction he found her. She had a bad feeling with the guy who got her services at the auction, even so she told him they would meet the following week. He didn’t like this guy that was from Vegas but it wasn’t because of that it was because of the guy flirting with the woman he wanted.
She had the meeting with the guy, she figured out that the people who owned the restaurant that he took her to was from Vegas just like him which she thought was a bit odd. She decided that she was going to go to Vegas and find out what the guy was planning. She wasn’t going to have another casino go into her town to ruin what she has tried so hard to protect, the Ecosystem was hers to protect. So she goes to Vegas to do what the event planning for the guy who won it at the auction, she also decided that while she’s there that she could find out what the guy has in store for her town.
He’s at another poker game with his best friend and his brother. He hasn’t seen her for a while and is worried that something has happened to her but when his best friend asks him to go and check on her he gets upset that his best friend let her go. He gets into it with his brother about being the head of the casino but he doesn’t think his brother can do it at least not right now, he thinks he needs to prove himself and he has already dropped the ball a couple of times and he had to go fix it.
She’s at the Vegas gala talk to the guy when she notices him there with a woman. He notices her with the guy, when he goes over to her telling her that they need to talk, she tries to leave without him but he follows her. They get to her office that the guy gave her to work from, they kiss and when they start having sex he finds out that she’s a virgin, he stopped. Before he knew what was going on she got upset, she thought he stopped because of her being a virgin but he stopped because she should have had something better than her virginity taken in her office. He didn’t know how to tell her how he felt about her.
After the gala she was going to her room, when on the elevator to go to her room the woman that he was with came into the elevator. She finds out that the woman was his sister also his sister told her that he’s really a good guy. She gets to her room and gets her sleep wear on. He winds up going to her room, he tries to talk to her, they have sex. The next morning she tells him to leave. When he gets to his room he finds both is sister and his brother there. Him and his brother gets into it and he tells his brother that he can leave if he doesn’t like what tells him.
She notices the casino owner’s brother and tries to find out what he’s doing there, the brother has her follow him so they can talk with no one else listening in.
Before she could go the guy’s boss came into the office telling her about his plans to take over her town and that he wanted her by his side, she tried to keep her cool but by the end she couldn’t it made a big difference that he knocked on the door and came in. He wanted her to be with him but she just thought that it was another man that wanted to control her.
She gets back to her town and goes to her brother’s penthouse rooms when she sees the brother, the sister of her brother’s best friend and the man was setting. She starts telling her brother about the guy and his boss and the best friend tells him to listen to her. She tells her brother everything the guy’s boss told her and then they all find out that her brother was the one that told his best friend’s brother to go to Vegas and infiltrate the guy’s boss’s place. He tells his best friend about being with the best friends sister.
He’s in his penthouse and his sister’s helping him try to figure out how to talk to the woman without saying something that will get her upset at him more. He has fallen for her and since the first time she has been his even though she doesn’t know it yet. He goes to her, knocking at the door she didn’t answer at first but she wound up coming to the door, opening it slightly before he pushed through her to get in. He apologized to her and then he told her the true about his feelings for her and that he would never treat her like he owned her. She had night cream on her face when he came in so she left cleaned off her face then came back they started talking more. He tells her about taking her to bed and then tells her what he wants to do to her. She had every inch of him including his heart.
Exceptional characters which is easy to read a perfect page turner. A Steamy romance with a bit of suspense as well as some action in the mix, amazing start to a happily ever after story.

IDK why but I thought this anthology was a Mafia anthology. lmao It's not - even though mafia men are rich too - this was about billionaires. I usually do not like anthologies. I pre-ordered this one because I saw a preview for one of the stories (IDR which one) and I HAD to read it. I am actually glad I got this one because this had a few good stories that introduced me to new authors that I can't wait to read some of their other works!!

I didn't like how their first scene together the MMC took care of everything else but her. He didn't release her from the bindings first. It was fkd up. I like it before then though. That felt like emotional controlling type stuff. He apologized but still he could've talked to her to say give me one moment or unbind her, clean her, and move her THEN clean up - something. It was an okay short story other than that though.

I have read other work by this author that I really didn't like. However, I actually enjoyed this one a lot more than her previous work. Although the MMC was so damn full of himself. Talking about how great he is and everything he could do constantly. Other than the MMC sucking it wasn't too bad.

I'm voluntarily reviewing "UNAPOLOGETIC" BY Monique Moreau, Lucian & Zoe at wedding sitting with his mother & sister he sends a bored glance at Luca & Cat their first dance as married couple a Lupa Clan Prince & Popescue Clan Princess.
This is an over the top Romanian Mafia wedding one where both Clans vied to outdo each other, Lucian spots Starlene at another table he's done everything to forget about her their Clans ended their rivalry & started to work together she's the kind of nerdy girl you do things in the shower with her on your mind.
Lucian is reminded of the catastrophic collapse of his family's reputation & its an absolute necessity to crawl his way back up to the top.
Star leaves the banquet hall Lucian stands tells Zoe he's gonna find Anton he lies & follows Star she turns & spots him eyes filled with fear, turns to look at sky ignoring Lucian he chuckles when he's around star his his heart like a blazing infurno what do want Lucian nothing you can't stay out here I'm not your problem OMG!! Lucian I'm not a Popescue so you have no authority over me so this about you & your ego, I want to watch Orionuds meteor shower, I've been going & out all night & no one's noticed her Lucian thinks.
Star is right up be scared because Lucian is a scary guy what does the villuan do when he traps a precious princess ruin her of course, his kiss isn't soft she loves how he takes control of her first kiss, Lucian maybe a bully & she may hate him at times he's a manwhore who's had many women & she in this moment she doesn't care she kisses him back.
I definitely recommend to get this short interesting look into "Star & Lucian's"story but needing more of them & what's to come.

When the bar tender tells you to stay out of trouble, picking a hothead to be your “boyfriend” is not what he meant. That meet cute was so fun to watch unfold from the pages. It was a train wreck of chaos and awkwardness that was much appreciated from a bystanders point of view.
Listen, fake dating is becoming one of my favorite tropes. Especially when one is so “grumpy” that he makes Dr. Perry Cox look like snuggly teddy bear. Chance was written as the perfect playboy who didn’t want to change his ways for anyone. Not even for himself. It was great to hate him while also hoping he let someone in to thaw his icy cold heart.
Drowning your broken heart with alcohol will never be the answer. Has Dakota ever watched or read a good romance story? Girl, pull yourself together. That said, your happenstance pick of Chance to be your new boyfriend to silence your ex boyfriend is absolutely spectacular. The two of them going at it like kindergarteners on the playground not wanting to share a kickball was something tickets should have been sold to.
Something great was how Chance promised here and now. Yes, people want forever and all the lovey dovey stuff that goes with it. With Chance being who he is, the town’s king of one night stands, him being honest about what he can offer, and what he was willing to do to make them work, was realistic. It is easy to forget that someone is set in their ways. Even if someone comes along to make them want to change, changing is hard and it will not happen overnight. Hopefully their future will end in happily ever after. Finger’s crossed.

This was a short and steamy introduction to Zee Irwin and Grace Graham’s new series, told in dual first person POV and leaves you with a HEA after in the love category and wanting more in the storyline category.
Capri and Edward “King” have a history that spans back to their younger years. I love the enemies-to-lovers, second chance aspect of the story. My heart went out to the alpha, determined, Casino owning billionaire, Edward “King”, because Capri hated him since they were teenagers and he had no idea why.
I love how he was so determined to win her over and are crow by apologizing, something he never does, and making it up to her. Although Capri wasn’t a favorite of mine-since she held a grudge for so long and wouldn’t talk to him about her feelings-I love that she had such a passion for her career and city. I love the bravery and strength she showed by doing what she had to do for answers to warn her family and Edward.
I loved the side characters and their banter. I can’t wait for their story so I can see who they fall in love with and what they have to go through to protect what is theirs.

I really needed this! I've been reading some quite dark books and this was a bit of light fluff but well written and with likeable characters. The review is based on Rich Rogue.
Capri is the single minded heroine, who has just the right levels of sass and determination. Born into a millionaire lifestyle courtesy of her casino owning family, she rebels completely wanting to work towards improving the environment and making life in general more sustainable.
Enter Edward, the arrogant, uber rich, elegant best friend of her brother. He too is the head of his family who are also casino owners.
Despite the electricity between the 2, they both separately feel they are off limits to each other due to him being, not only the brother's BF but also because Capril finds his cockiness unbearable.....
Ah but the chemistry....
This is a steamy, fast read with great characters - part of a series called The Rogues - so there's more to come. I particularly loved how Capri pushed back against Edward forcing him to become his true self and it ain't arrogant!

I only read Rich Rogue by Zee Irwin and Grace Grahme and this is my honest review.
This is the first in the series and has a HEA but does end with a cliffhanger. Edward and his best friend Vincent run competing casinos in the small town of Crystal City outside Vegas. Edward has wanted Vincent's sister Capri for years. But Capri wants nothing to do with the 'dirty money' the casinos make. I liked the storyline in this book but I did not enjoy the main characters in the story. Edward was just not a likable man to me. He seemed too arrogant and bossy. And Capri just seemed too above everyone else. But I really liked the storyline, it held my interest throughout the book. It seems some high stakes big time casino owners want to move into Crystal City and take over. I want to know what happens and I'm hoping the next in the series will help explain part of that. I'm hoping the side characters get their books and Crystal City holds firm. Great storyline, not so great characters.

This story alone makes this book worth the purchase.
I loved everything about this book except that it was too short. This was just book 1 in a series and I will definitely be continuing the series. I devoured this in one sitting. It really packed a punch for being such a short book, because all you needed in a great book was there, including strong and likeable characters. The chemistry between the main characters was off the charts hot. I love a good flow of writing and this book delivers. The writer also did a good job of setting the reader up to want the stories of all the side characters. I'm hooked now, so there I go. If you want a quick and hot read with all the great writing skills that brings characters to life, this book is for you.

Wow. Brilliant, the story ,the steam and the whole package ,pun intended. Capri takes a gamble that her business Golden Events may be the saviour of Crystal City itself , the Emerald Lake is one thing to canvas and raise funds for in her environmental crusade but the stakes just got real and Vegas is coming to take them down….. Capri Vitale hates the whole dirty business that is Casinos and gambling , her brother “Shark” and his friend and business rival “King” run the city. She only came back for her environmental project, a certain Rogue Casino boss gets her hot under her collar and her pantyhose . She needs to get away from here but is it just her conscience that stops her from leaving or is it joining in the highest stakes game of their lives , I can’t wait for this series to unfold.

There’s so much story packed into this short read. I loved every minute of it!
I was drawn into the story from the get go and couldn’t put it down. I really felt like this was a much longer full novel with all that happened. It didn’t feel rushed either.
A small lie at a bar on who Dakota’s boyfriend is, quickly escalated into Chance saying things like “my woman.” My heart was already swooning from that but add in a “good girl” and I nearly fainted.
Chance is in need of some good PR and a fake girlfriend would help. Dakota started this fake relationship and he is going to continue it.
There’s a lot of friction between these two opposites. It continues to a passionate boiling point. Only to have Dakota and Chance back at odds. At the end of it all will they realize that their feelings might not be fake anymore?

OMG! I absolutely loved reading this book it was awesome, the story was mesmerising and the characters were absolutely sensational. This story was about Capri Vitale and Edward King Williams, Capri's father and Edward's father owned the town for the gambling and when the father's passed it went to their son's. Capri has had a crush on her brothers best friend, and yet after watching him with other girls she wants to stay away from him and even move towns. Edward has always liked Capri but he was told to stay away until an incident occurred, now he wants to apologise to her and she will not open the door or even talk to him. The chemistry between them was hot but can it get hotter.

It's a good fake dating dual pov romance. The story follows playboy billionaire Chance & successful lawyer Dakota as they begin a fake relationship to impress potential investors for Chance & to get back at Dakota's slimeball ex. Because it's a novella, character development was still needed - like I felt as if there could've been more to Chance's character. For the most part, he was kind of a jerk but Dakota wasn't going to take his words/actions silently so that was fun to read. Also, there was a tiny of bit of angst. Overall, it kept me interested in the story & wanting to read more from the author, which is why I rounded up, & I think others may like this story.

Cruel Love by RG Ángel
My heart! Calypso and Sebastiana get their second chance in this novella after being forced apart. Calypso is a compassionate and strong woman, taking care of others despite having her dreams dashed and having been through a lot of heart ache. Sebastiana is a capo and while he resorts to threats and blackmail (I want to hit him in the noggin for that!), we also see that he has been played by those closest to him and he has a good heart underneath it all. These two pull at your heart strings with their story, having that romantic tension but also learning about what happened. I can’t decide if I want this story to be longer than a novella, because it was just enough as a novella but I definitely have come to care for these characters in that short amount of time. Overall, this was an engaging read!

A good start to a new series. It’s a different direction from other books I’ve read by Zee Irwin and I’m looking forward to seeing where she and Grace take it.
I do like a feisty woman and Capri fit the bill perfectly. Admittedly, sometimes it seemed like she was arguing just for the sake of it, but hey I’m a woman and I do the same thing. King was delicious. All alpha and possessive. I loved the two of them together.
One side character I want to know more about is Elizabeth. She seems the sane one of the bunch. I hope she pops up in a future book, possibly with Shark???.

I don’t think anything could have prepared me when I had the opportunity to read To Tempt. Marco and Syra reconnect, on a chance sighting, after years apart. Marco fights his every urge to be near her- but will he succeed in keeping away from Syra, who ran away with his heart? S many questions lay beneath her sudden return to Lockwood- and her sudden departure years prior.
This novella is absolutely hot, hot, hot🥵 Like hello, cue “breaking the thermostat” level 100 heat- it doesn’t take more than a few pages in to begin either 🤫
No doubt it left me wanting for more!

My first look was into Zee Irwin's Rich Rogue, from the new Rogue Series. Edward “King” Williams, Chairman of Rogue Entertainment Group, is best friends with his competitor Vincent “Shark” Vitale. Both own a large portion of the casino/entertainment business in their Nevada town. Capri Vitale, little sister and event planner, wants nothing to do with her brother BF King, but he wants her. The characters are well written and compelling. There is sizzle, steam, some drama, twists, and great introductions into the other family members that a sure to have stories of their own. Looking forward to more.

This is for RG Angel's Cruel Love. This short book followed Caly (or Calypso, which is the best name) and Sebastiano as he buys her bakery (really her apartment block) in an attempt to get back into her life. Caly agrees to "just one night" in exchange for the deed to her bakery. All that goes to waste when a little six-year-old boy looking just like Sebastiano walks in the door as she's trying to hustle him out the door. While Sebastiano feels betrayed and basically blackmails Caly into returning to Vegas with him, all is not what it seems as he soon learns, but I'll end there to avoid spoilers. If you like R.G. Angel's style of romantic suspense, steamy writing, and throwing in some second-chance romance- you will love this short book!

King and his best friend run competing casinos and King has wanted Vincent's sister for as long as he can remember. But Capri may fantasize about King but she wants nothing to do with gambling and all that goes with it. King knows she's untouchable but that doesn't mean he doesn't crave her. Can he convince Capri they belong together? Can't wait to read the next book!.

Review for Cruel Love by R.G Angel ~~ R.G why do you do this to me! This book was so good!!! I know it was a novella but I didn't want it to end lol. Mafia. Second chance. Fast burn (I was not ready for that lol) The story follows Sebastiano Visconti and the beautiful Calypso 🥰 (LOVE the name). Young lovers, their relationship fell apart and the truths they thought they know are not. Every action has consequences and turns out the actions they took years back are not facing them again. Will they be able to forgive each other or break what's left of their young love. Thank you for this awesome ARC ❤️.

Both of these characters were endearing and reactionary. They had their reasons for behaving as they did. There are secrets, betrayal, coercion, and so much pent up frustration on both sides…I thoroughly enjoyed this short, intense read!! Can’t wait to read the other stories in this collection!

This is an amazing anthology by a wonderful collection of authors.
My review is for Rich Rogue by Zee Irwin
This is the first in a new series, and this is Edward and Capri’s story, Capri has had a crush on her brother’s best friend Edward since she was a teenager, not realizing that he had his own feeling for her. Edward and Capri’s brother are both owners of competing casinos, and Capri dislikes casinos. This is a well written story which has passion, emotions, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy small-town romance.
