Elias and Ava's Story . . .
Ava Lennon’s job as a librarian has become tedious and boring. She is ready for an adventure. So when an unusual invitation falls from the pages of one of the returned books, she decides to sign up for the odd auction at The Breeding Bidders Auction House.
Elias Gatlin, a Kodiak Bear Shifter, has still failed to find his mate. When Novak, a developer, has the audacity to send a team of engineers onto Elias’ land to plan their drilling site, Elias angrily goes to the man’s office to confront him and instead sees a picture of the mate he has been searching for on a flyer for a virgin auction! He will need money if he plans to bid on her in the auction, so he agrees to sell his land. He bids on Ava when, at the last minute, Novak raises the bid and wins. He forces Ava to marry him immediately at the auction and steals her away in his helicopter. Has Elias lost Ava AND his ranch to that dishonest jerk? Or will he and his bear fight for their fated mate? (Is Ava ready yet to head back to the library for some peace and quiet?)
As always, this author has written an action-packed story line that will pull the reader in for a wild ride. The characters are larger-than-life sometimes, but the reader will be cheering for Elias and Ava to find their HEA in what seems like a hopeless situation when the villain keeps snatching everything away from him.

Ava decides to enter herself in an auction. This auction has one specific qualification, the young lady has to be a virgin. As soon as she's standing near the stage she realizes that she's made a mistake but she's not allowed to back out of the deal.
To her horror she's bid upon and won by a horrific man. Then Elias steps into the picture and all hell breaks lose. Will Ava and her mate manage to survive?

🔥🔥🔥 chemistry, insta-love — needs some info added
Part of a series comprised of stand-alone stories, written by various authors, linked through an auction where virgins voluntarily place themselves up for bid to millionaires and billionaires. The stories feature humans, shifters, and aliens that coexist within the same series thanks to the ringleader of the auction, Coco St. James.
** If you have not read the story, the following may contains spoilers, but hopefully only enough to adequately explain my opinion and/or to support my rating. **
⛔️ Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to sensitive readers, such as: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges of depression, anxiety, etc.; steamy adult intimate scenes with elements of dominance, submission, etc.; violence with fighting, threats, betrayal, blackmail, death / murder, etc.
Another fast read. I love the dichotomy between the various stories. For instance, in the previous two stories we had basically a goth heroine paired with an alien hero complete with claws and tusks. Followed by a strait-laced good girl and a mountain man. Fast forward to this story with an innocent librarian of ancient tombs and a Kodiak bear shifter. The story needs some additional information and background on Ava. Such as:
— What happened in the four months between the phone call and auction? There is a brief recap, but that could be used to further demonstrate her introverted nature.
— What happened with her family? The mention made of them just reinforced the lack of information, and why something should have been provided.
This is the type of detail that makes a story come to life and the characters more believable. Yes, this is a novelette in a series that has shifters and aliens … but I still want a well-rounded story.
I mention the following for readers such as myself that visualize a story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow. There are a few grammatical errors with incorrect punctuation with missing commas. I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested.

This book is part of a multi-author written series. Each standalone book is written by one of three authors. Each book is short around 100ish pages. They are all spicy, sexy, no cheating, mostly insta-love type stories. As of writing this review (4/2023) there are 9 books total 3 by each author. The author of this book Olivia T. Turner has covered the shifters of the series. The series is centered around The Breeding Bidders Auction House. Ran by the one and only Coco St. James. I'd still like to know her back story, and the back story of the auction house itself. Maybe they'll write it someday? The whole series is pretty good. They are quick sexy reads. Perfect for clearing your mind after a longer angst filled, tear jerker, emotional rollercoaster book. They're also fun to read back to back. However you want to consume the books. You'll enjoy them I think.
This book is the story of Ava our MFC and Elias our MMC. Ava is 25 yrs old and works in a old rare books library. She thought her life would be so different than it has turned out. She's bored, restless, and yearning for something more. More what exactly and how to get it she's not sure yet. One day she finds a invitation to the Breeding Bidders Auction House. It falls out of a book that was just returned. The invitation is to an auction for young women who are virgins. It says it's an extremely exclusive event for billionaires. There's an insert with some basic info and pictures of a few of the women. There's a phone number at the bottom. Ava's mind begins to whirl. Thinking about the auction. What it might be like to do that. Before she knows it she's calling the number and her life will never be the same. Adventure, lust, love, a family, and the life she always dreamed of may await.
Elias is a 45 yr. old Kodiak bear shifter. Who's been looking for his mate for a long time. He's almost given up hope of finding her. He lives on a ranch in the mountains. It's been passed down for generations. He hopes to one day pass it on to his own cubs. If he can find his mate that is. There's a rich business man that has been buying up all the land around Elias's ranch. He's been trying hard to get Elias to sell his ranch. Elias is out in the forest on his land in his bear form. He runs across some of the rich business man's employees. They're marking sites and surveying the land. Elias runs them off. Then heads to the rich business mans office on the work site. A little ways away from Elias's ranch. Elias and the man have heated words. Just as Elisa is turning to leave he notices the insert to the invitation from the Breeding Bidders Auction House. It has a picture of his mate on it. Elias demands information about the auction. He realizes he's going to be forced to make a hard decision. The only way he can get his mate is to go to the auction. That's in 2 days, but his needs money a lot of money. He's going to have to bid on his mate. The only way to get the money is to sell his ranch. He squares his shoulders, centers himself, and makes his decision. His life will never be the same. You'll have to read to find out what decisions he made and how both of their lives change due to their choices. Hope you enjoy the story. Give this book and some of the others in the series a try.

When I download an Olivia T. Turner book, I know I’m in for a fun, light, STEAMY read. I admit, I had some trepidation at the title, Auctioned to the Kodiak Shifter. I thought that maybe there was trafficking involved (alas, some books with titles like that fetishize trafficking.) But I trust that Olivia will give me a safe, fun read, so I proceeded. Olivia didn’t take away the heroine’s agency; rather, she enhanced it. The heroine volunteered for the auction to find adventure and romance. While that’s not the way I’d go about it, I can respect her choice.
One thing to know about Olivia T. Turner is that her books are Over the Top. Heroes are Alphas who are obsessed with their (Instalove) women. The men don’t have to worry about money and want lots of kids. The love story is epic. The premise is a little (or a lot) crazy. And the steamy scenes have volcanic-level heat. And this is a shifter romance, so the Hero finds his Fated Mate and is singleminded in his pursuit of her. Yowza!
OTT: Olivia T. Turner and Over the Top. This book is no exception.
And all that makes for a FUN book. It may not be Shakespeare, but by golly it’s entertaining!
This book is not based in reality. But who always wants reality? This is escapism at its steamiest. And most fun.
Highly recommended if you want to escape reality for a little while.

Ava decides to contact Coco St. James to be a part of the auction. Ava wants adventure and excitement in her life. Elias is a Kodiak Bear Shifter. He has been waiting for his mate for a long time. He is 45 years old. He is living on his ranch which his grandfather built and his father lived on also. There is a building billionaire who is buying up land and stripping off the trees in the forest. Elias woke up to men on his land so he stormed over to confront Novak the billionaire. Novak has offered to buy Elias’ land for seven million dollars. Elias sees a piece of paper on Novak’s desk, it’s the invitation for the auction and Elias is frozen when he sees a picture of his mate. Elias doesn’t have money to bid on his mate so he agrees to sell his land and truck so he can buy his mate. Of course Novak is at the auction and he knows which woman Elias is interested in. Elias thinks he has won when Novak jumps in with a higher bid. Will Ava recognize her mate? Will Elias be able to stop Novak from taking his mate from him? Will Ava and Elias find out that they are fated mates? Will Elias and Ava find adventure and excitement, love and happiness together?

Olivia T Turner is a trustworthy author, she understands romance and that fated mate romance are one and only/double virgin romances, and that is why I love her and why she is one of my favorite authors!
Elias has been looking his whole life for his mate and finally sees her face but on a flyer for a virgin auction, exclusive to billionaires. He sells everything he owns to this skeevy land developer and with money in hand goes to the auction to get his woman. It is his only choice. There are fights, a chase scenes, sweet love and steamy sex scenes and a hero who cannot keep his eyes off the heroine showing her how deeply in love with her he is. You feel the love and the lust of these two horn dogs. The only reason Ava joined this auction to be sold off is to spice up her life and get out of the rut. She wanted excitement and an adventure, something exciting. Well she got a hunky bear shifter *wink wink*

Whilst in the developer’s office, he sees his mate on a flyer for a virginity auction and agrees to sell his land for the money to buy his mate. But when his mate is auctioned, the developer buys her whilst laughing at Elias. His desperate animal chases them down, determined to save her…
This short novella is dual POV, well written, and a fun, contemporary, bear shifter/human romp in the author’s customary style. I enjoyed that Ava took the initiative to change her life. I enjoyed Elias’ determination. I enjoyed their intimate moments, and I adored the epilogues showing their HEA.

I liked the book. I liked Ava & Elias. The "action" scenes added to the book & if there wasn't an untied loose end I would have rated it better. Warning: not trying to give spoilers but this does have one. The books bad guy Novak is killed & I can't say I didn't think he deserved it. However, the guy is a billionaire & was murdered - point blank. The 4 guards know who killed him. Yet, nothing is ever mentioned about the fact that he was killed by Elias. No cops. No legal issues. No retribution from the 4 grizzly bear guards that their client was killed on their watch. Nothing. Once they were away from it, it's like it didn't happen & THAT annoyed me. There was no Coco St James clean up action mentioned like in the previous book. Also, he had 4 grizzlies guarding him & the house but apparently no other security & no cameras which didn't seem probable. Also, he's a billionaire & didn't have a digital copy or anything filed with an attorney before going to the auction with the proof of sale?! That's stupid. Good for Elias & Ava but not very businessman like.

Honestly, I laughed out loud while reading this and I need it.
I reach over and slap his cheek as Elias chokes him. His fierce eyes snap open and he growls at me.
Elias doesn’t like that at all. He picks the guy up and slams him into the ground, which finally makes me fall off. I land on my ass as Elias pummels the guy with fists and elbows.
“No,” I gasp when I turn and see the second giant grizzly bear approaching. He’s stalking forward on his big paws with his head lowered, vicious eyes locked on me.
I stand up on my trembling legs as he lifts his head and lets out a deep thunderous roar. Elias is busy beating the other guy to a pulp, so I’m on my own. On my own to stop a freaking grizzly bear!
My hand is clutched around the gun, but I can’t shoot another bear!
“Go away!” I scream as I throw the gun as hard as I can. It flies right into his mouth and gets lodged in his throat.
The bear is bent over, choking and hacking away as he backs up with wide eyes. Geez, it’s almost like I planned that!
“I threw the gun at him! I’m sorry!”

This novella is a fast-paced steamy read with an over-the-top alpha male and an innocent heroine. Ava Lennon has been stuck at a dead end job for 5 years when she stumbles upon an advertisement for a virgin auction. She needs the cash and fresh start, so on a whim, she calls the number and enters. Elias Gatlin is a blue collar worker trying to protect his land from being purchased by bigwigs. He’s been searching for his mate for years when he sees her on a virgin auction flyer. He’s determined to win the highest bid and when he doesn’t, all hell breaks loose. His bear wants his mate and he will do anything to claim her. This was fun, exciting, romantic, and super steamy. OTT is the best!

This book is part of the multi-author Highest Bidder series featuring the next Virgin Auction. Ava is stuck in a dead end job so she craves some excitement in her life so when she sees the invitation to the auction she decides to do it. Elias is a Kodiak Bear Shifter who at 45 has been waiting a long time for his mate. He lives on his family ranch which his grandfather built that is being threatened by a wealthy billionaire Novak who is buying land and stripping the trees in the forest. Novak has offered to buy Elias's ranch which he has declined until he sees the invitation to the auction and his mate's picture on Novak's desk. Elias agrees to sell his land so that he can go buy his mate but Novak knows who he's interested in. Will Elias be able to get his mate Ava or will Novak double cross him? You really need to read this exciting steamy OTT story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

Elias is a Kodiak bear shifter and he has been searching for his mate unsuccessfully. When he comes across a flyer for a virgin bride auction, he instantly recognizes his mate on the flyer. He has to figure out how to be the highest bidder and win his fated mate. However, there’s another who wishes to have Ava and he may just get his way.
This was a good read with some suspense and heat. Action and adventure with some over the top alpha males and an innocent virgin mate. Nicely done!

This one wasn't for me. Ava comes off as annoying and dull and kind of vapid. Elias is cute but kind of lacks personality aside from being a "manly man".
Ava is a librarian who hates her job and to liven up her life, applies to auction her virginity off to a billionaire (as one does). Elias sees her on a flyer for the auction, claims her as his mate and there's barely any plot after that. There's a generic billionaire bad guy, some action and some mediocre sex and that's all.
Some of my pet peeves / Cringe from this book include:
- Ava being really dumb
- calling each other "baby" (it's been 2 days guys)
- "constant virgin" references and fixation on " virgin cream" and virginity ( I get it, she's untouched, plz find another way to say that)
I may be the outlier as everyone else seems to love it but I was not vibing.

I really enjoyed the story 'Auctioned to the Kodiak Shifter' by Olivia T. Turner. It was a shifter romance with a slightly different angle than the normal. It was about a woman being auctioned to the highest bidder in an elite virgin auction only being attended by billionaires. Even more unusual, the man that knows he is the woman's mate is tricked by an unscrupulous man that has not only taken the man's land but outbids him even though he knew that the money for the sale of the land was for the bid for the mate to acquire his woman. Though he sees his woman being married off to the horrible man, the woman's true mate does not let that stop him. The race to save his mate is on.

This was another fun OTT romance and I love how dedicated Elias was to winning his mate at the auction...to the point he sold his family ranch to have the bucks to participate. Sadly, he got outbid and the fur sure flew at the sneaky developer, Novak, that bought his ranch and won the bid. Well, Ava, desperate for something good, adventurous and not boring instantly knew that Elias was someone special to her. However, her luck wasn't with her and she got to watch Elias fight for her as she fought Novak, as best she could. I loved how they were so grateful to be together and they sure bonded strongly. The author included a sweet epilogue to finish off their story, making me smile as I finished reading. Good fun!

Elias is the Kodiak shifter of my dreams - willing to sacrifice his home and land to get his mate…and he won’t stop until he has her.
I love his fight and love for Ava so much!

But Elias is not a quitter. Things go a bit wacky after the auction and Elias needs to kill in order to get Ava as his mate. The story will keep on the edge of your seat trying to figure out how he manages to keep Ava. It’s a great love story

I loved Auctioned To The Kodiak Shifter Highest Bidder. Elias knew from her picture Ava was his fated mate. Now he just had to win her at this auction. His bear goes crazy when he is out bid by his enemy. Ava wants the man with the kind eyes, how did she end up with this horrible man. When a bear comes barreling after them he has the same eyes as her mystery man. Will Elias be able to save Ava from his enemy? What about his family’s land, can he save it? This was a great storyline and I loved the characters. It was a quick read. I would definitely recommend this book.

When Ava was doing a return on a library book a flyer for a virgin auction fell out, she called them to get into the auction because she didn’t like the way her life ahead looked like. Elias was fighting to keep Novak from getting his land but when he saw the flyer with Ava’s picture on it he needed money to buy his mate so he sold it. But then Novak outbid him so his Kodiak took over and saved her after throwing Novak off the balcony and they burned the marriage certificate and the papers of him selling the land to Novak. Good book!.

Ava has a dead end job with no end in sight. She finds an auction flyer about the Breeding Bidders Auction House and is intrigued. Since she meets the criteria she joins the auction and is hoping for a HEA. Elias, a bear shifter, sees the flyer too and realizes that Ava is his mate. He has to sell his home just so he can bid on her. But when another wins her from him, well that is not going to happen. After all Elias is a Kodiak Bear shifter and nothing gets between him and his mate. Another great fast paced over the top steamy story with lots of action. Great read.
