Updated my review to give a little more insight into my feelings about this one.
I’d been waiting for this one for a while now,and pre-ordered it on Apple Books as soon as i found it.
What i got was a shorter story than i’d hoped, and one that was sweeter than i’d expected.
It’s the story of Ivy, who works at a bank, gets in trouble with bad men,and ends up in a dumpster at The Hangout of the Shadowridge Guardians MC.
Where Steele finds her,and basically saves her.
She immediately feels safe with him,and he immediately feels attracted to her.
Since the bad guys are still at large, and she has a concussion,Steele takes her home with him when she’s released from hospital.
They get into the Daddy/little girl dynamic from the start, and most of the story is about that.
With the search for the bad guys, who are still after her,and a problem at her bank that needs solving,in the background.
Why did the bad guys dump her there?
The risk of her being found before the dumpster was emptied was too great, and there are other ways to scare a girl enough to give them what they want….
The bank manager acted like an asshole, seemed to apologize for it at one point, only to try and bet rid of her when she solved the problems at the bank.
He acted more like a man that was jealous of her achievements, than that of a man that was confident of his own worth….
The MC consisted of likeable men,but i would’ve liked to gotten to know them a little better.
And the same goes for the girls that lived at the compound….they sound sweet, but that’s about it.
She was so proud of being friendly with rough looking bikers, but at the same time she was almost constantly worried what others might think of that.
She embraced being little without a hitch, but at the same time she worried what others would think of things her Daddy did and said.
He was convinced, almost from the moment he found her, that she was a Little.
Based on the fact she clung to him,and took comfort from the bear he gave her.
He didn’t try to find out how old her Little was,and most of the things he did as her Daddy consisted of washing, dressing and feeding her.
There was not a lot of getting to know eachother, not to my experience.
They were “together” from the start, and that was it.
And that in total, was my issue with this one.
It lacked the depth i needed in the characters.
The story itself could’ve been great if it had a little more detail,ánd that same depth.
