This is a great short overview of Kabbalah, a very tricky subject to give an overview on, but Dolnick pulls it off in a way that gives people of all faiths and traditions a chance to understand some of the basic philosophy and concepts behind Kabbalah including the tree of life and the flow of life energy, numerology and the alphabetical codes and symbolism of the Hebrew alphabet, and how to apply this knowledge to "busy" modern life in a workable and helpful way.

Awesome book. I guess looking at my books I also like ones about religion. It is an easy to read book about the Kabbalah! Quite "enlightening" just like the title says. A must have in everyones bookshelf!
