Meltdown Madness: What an Autistic Adult's Meltdowns Can Look Like

Rate this book
Are you a late-diagnosed or self-identified autistic adult? Have people told you to "stop throwing tantrums whenever you don't get your way"? In her third public journal, Autistic Ang describes what meltdowns have been like throughout her whole life - but especially in adulthood. She describes the causes of her meltdowns, the behaviors she engages in, and how she started changing how she viewed meltdowns when she learned she's autistic.

Meet Autistic Ang, who found out a week before her 39th birthday that she's autistic. It's only been several months since this realization, and during that time she's been down the research rabbit hole, trying to better understand herself. When she couldn't find many resources by autistic people from her part of the spectrum, she felt called to be someone others like her could see themselves in.

Each month, Autistic Ang will release a "public journal" detailing one aspect of autism as she experiences it. She firmly believes there are autistics out there just like her who want the weird stuff they think said out loud by another human. She has a potty mouth, so this may not be for you if bad language offends you. However, this IS for you

- You're an adult and recently found out you're autistic
- You don't mind conversation-style writing
- You need a break from the academic stuff on autism and want to read something less formal
- You need a laugh (cuz autism can be funny)

If this sounds like it's up your alley, check out this journal and subscribe so you're notified when new journals are released!
