This book was full of hot sex. I wish there was more of a backstory to Ben and Dakota. But Olly is adorable and how Ben took being a dad was nice though his strong personality kind of took over. Dakota is such a loving mom who knows what she wants. Definitely give it a try. You will enjoy.

they all need therapy
Oh boy was this a frustrating read. Overbearing, oblivious alpha male walks in takes over and never takes accountability. And our heroine just lets him and then apologizes. She may have trust issues, but his responses held ZERO emotional intelligence. Toxic masculinity was all over and the MC said some REALLY awful, toxic things he never actually apologized for. Absolutely not worth a read. I skipped the last few chapters because this strong single mom turned into a doormat for a man who was too toxic for self reflection and therapy. Nope!

Seeking Sweet Love
College graduation is a time of celebration—appreciating the knowledge, experiences and friends gained over the past four years—but, graduation can be stressful as the college graduates anticipate the future with which their college classes, experiences and travels equipped them. So, it was not surprising that the 3 college friends, Cassie, Nadia and Dakota, would head to Las Vegas to party and to celebrate their achievements and anticipate the next steps in their lives.

I'm so glad this is the last book. The whole series has been so up and down!
Ben and Dakota meet at a bar in Vegas. He wants her straight away so he goes for it. The have a great time, both feeling this amazing connection but when he wakes up the next morning she's gone. She doesn't leave a number or even her last name. He looks for her but she's a ghost.
She finds out she pregnant and tries to find him but she doesn't have any information on him so she cant. It then jumps five years
He stops into her bakery (that she owns with her mum) by chance one day and gets talking to her mum. She tells him they are struggling and her says he can help. He buys half the business and says he will get it back on its feet
They are both so shocked the first time they see each other again that neither says anything. Then they walk away thinking the worst of each other. But they see other the next time and jump each other!
She says he is taking over the bakery when he moves it to a bigger building with better access. He was a bit gun ho but her mum didn't mind, I think she just loved to complain!
He figures out who Ollie is which honestly annoyed me, she should have told him. She said multiple time that she spent years trying to find him so she could tell him and yet when she was right there she said nothing!
Then she thinks he is taking over her child too. He wants him to move to a better school which is fair, he can afford abetter school so why not? But then he buys him the dog he wanted which he should have asked first. Its a sweet gesture but she's the one that will have to look after it, so I get why she was annoyed.
I didn't like her, she was really annoying! She starts sleeping with him then reads that he's a player which I didn't really get that vibe from him. Anyway she sleeps with him again the same day. She overreacts at everything. The bakery, her son and anything else he does. She is mad at him for not been there for the first five years but she's the one that ran off and didn't leave a name or number. What did she expect? He was pissed an rightfully so but whenever she was mad she rubbed it in his face he wasn't there which is not fair!
I don't understand why she breaks up with him. It was stupid and made no sense and then he shows up says sorry and she is back in his bed! She was deeply annoying!
He was fine until he said his son shouldn't want to be a ballet dancer. I didn't like that, he said he was too girly because he only had his mum and grandma and they worked in a bakery. Ruined his character!!

Overcoming Fear For Their Happiness -
The last thing Dakota expected when she went on her graduation trip with best friends, was to have a one night stand and for that one night to change her life forever. Ben didn’t do relationships, so he didn’t understand the connection he felt with Dakota or to realise that one night with her wasn’t enough. Unfortunately, they both only had the first names of each other, which made it difficult to track the other person down.
Fate stepped in and brought them back into each other’s life when Dakota was in dire straights, which may have been great on a business front. However. she was apprehensive about embarking on a personal relationship with him, as she was scared of the unknown and she was keeping a secret from him. Once the secret was discovered, her insecurities and his take charge attitude created friction between them, which nearly cost them their happily ever after, but interference by their families and cooler heads prevailed to get them back on track to their forever happiness.
This was a really moving, sexy, second chance romance, that had interesting characters and a believable storyline. It was a real pleasure to read.

I absolutely loved the way this book started. A chance meeting, a glance across the room, that instant and undeniable chemistry. Love, love, loved it.
Ben and Dakota had an amazing first meet, but the way that meet ended made my heart hurt for so many reasons.
I couldn't connect well with the character of Dakota. I guess I don't do well with characters who seem to self-sabatoge. I kept yelling at her in my head. I just don't handle that well. Guess I'm too old to put up with those types of dramatics. I was however happy that the character of her best friend was a no nonsense kinda gal, and didn't shy away from speaking her truth, whether it hurt Dakota's feelings or not.
Ben was a strong character right from the start. Good heart, smart, charismatic. I really enjoyed his character. He is a true Alpha taking control of everything he can, even when he shouldn't. But that's what made this book so interesting.
Dakota and Ben butt heads a lot, which made for fun reading. He would overstep and she would have to put her foot down. The back and forth was great. And Oliver just sounds like one of the cutest little kids!
Overall, I did enjoy this book. It was a fun read with a great HEA.

Great 2nd chance/secret baby romance. I really enjoyed this story of Dakota & Ben who have a wild night in Vegas, not swapping numbers or even surnames. Unfortunately for LA based Dakota, what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay there and her plans of a business degree & expanding her family bakery have to be shelved in the light of the positive pregnancy test. I liked the way the author doesn’t dwell on this section of the story (which forms a sort of prologue) and fast-forwards five years. The reader feels for Dakota in that she has unsuccessfully tried to trace New York based Ben, in the intervening years, to inform him he is a father. I loved the by-play between them when, the now LA based Ben, shows up and offers her mother assistance in turning the now struggling bakery around, not knowing he has now found his ‘lost love’ and their son. The heat and chemistry soon flares again despite Dakota’s resistance and the snark and arguments between them is very entertaining. Throw in Dakota’s lovely mother and seriously cute little boy and you have an engaging romantic read.

Five years ago, Ben and Dakota met while out with friends. Their night ended with an intimate stay where she left without leaving her contact information. Ben was torn because he knew that there was a connection between them. He reconnects with her when he comes into their bakery, and it once again start them along a journey. Dakota is shocked beyond reason when she spots Ben in the bakery and when he becomes a business partner to the bakery it creates problems for Dakota because of the secret she is withholding. When the truth comes out will She and Ben be able to navigate a course that leads them to a happily ever after. This story kept me glued to the pages.

I quickly became invested in the characters and the story. However, Ben lost points when he did multiple life-changing tasks without consulting the overwhelmed Dakota.

Ok, where do I start???
Dakota meets Ben in a nightclub in Vegas, cue the one night stand and her leaving without a note - 5 years later - she never went on to finish her education because she left with a permanent souvenir.
I couldn't dislike Dakota more - when Ben re-enters her life by chance, she is pissed at him - like WTF!!!
This story pissed me off so much I wanted to reach into the book and bitchslap her she was a walking contradiction. If I was Ben I would have been there for his kid, Oliver, but I certainly wouldn't have given Dakota the time of day after all the bullshit she handed out ---UGH!!!

Ben and Dakota’s story has them meeting in Vegas and it leads to a perfect night of talking dancing and chemistry. Then she’s gone but she takes back home a little extra of him. Fast forward he’s a bakery and the woman was telling him her problems and he brings a contract to buy 51% but he happens to see a boy that looks like Dakota with his eyes but will he find out it’s his son or will these two not get their hea.

Absolutely fantastic read, I couldn't put it down! Dakota and Ben spend an intense unforgettable night together in Vegas, only ever exchanging first names. It's not until later that Dakota finds out she's pregnant and has no way to contact the father. Then 5 years later fate brings them together again. Will she tell him her secret? Will their connection be just as combustible? Can they finally be together? Enjoy this emotional rollercoaster with plenty of passion!.

This is a cute story focusing on Dakota, Ben and her (their) son, Oliver. They meet again when Ben relocates from New York to California and wanders into Dakota’s family bakery. The business is failing and Ben offers to buy into it. As they spend more and more time together, they give into the passion they had from the start. My favorite scene was when Ben was so angry and insulted when he thought Dakota only used him for sex. She treated him like a piece of meat! I liked the gender swap of that.

Great read, what started out as one hot night in Las Vegas. Ben and Dakota both not knowing at the time that they made a very special surprise that night. Only Dakota left without knowing she would need to see Ben again. I thought this book was well written and flowed easily. Had a lot of drama in this book and also some very hot making up sessions. All in a good all round book recommend as I do enjoyed read books by this author.

The title gives it away...
It was however a really good page turner that I found myself invested in from the get go. A one night stand in Vegas leads to a surprise baby. Fast forward five years & the couple meet again when he is involved in trying to save her business. He bonds with her son unaware he is the father. Will she find the courage to tell him & how will he react? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

A woman who wants a cookie for being a parent
Dakota was an idiot. I hate women like her. Her woe is me act through the whole book was tiring. Like we get it! You raised him by herself, no fault of Ben’s, and now you want a cookie. I couldn’t even finish. Was Ben doing too much without asking yes but I probably would do the same thing since she argued about everything. I couldn’t even finish the book and skipped through the majority of it.

Not happy Jan
Ben made me so angry. He continually made decisions without asking and Dakota just kept conceding until she eventually blew up. All her reasons were valid. And then he makes one apology and Dakota rolls over? I get it’s a story but there was very little growth for Ben as a character. Why should he get the happy ever after when he never learned? I finished the book and I just feel angry and sad. No sunshine HEA for me.

I enjoyed this twist on the one-night stand, can't find the daddy now, find out later baby story! Circumstances lined up to get this couple back together again with some big struggles, some great supporting characters and a really precious little boy.

While I enjoyed the book as a whole, I have to be honest and say that Ben and Dakota just didn't do it for me.
There seemed to be so many issues with they two of them, and they just seemed to "solve" them with sex.
The storyline was good, just not a fan of the characters.

What happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. Ben and Dakota when they locked eyes the connection was there. Spending one night changed everything . Now 5 years later they meet again and the sparks are still there but Ben gets the shock of his life when he meets his son Oliver for the first time. The road to their Happy Ever After isn't easy but the push and pull is all worth it in the end.

I was kind of annoyed how easily Dakota flew off the handle at the smallest things. And I was equally frustrated every time Ben would do something without checking with her. They are both stubborn and set in their ways, so I guess they will eventually just wear each other down. Lots of miscommunication.

These two were destined to be together. When they first met, their chemistry was off the charts. Whenever they met again, they had chemistry, but it may have thrown in a lot of other things, too. The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Ben, Dakota and her son, Oliver. The story keeps us turning the pages with connection, secrets, second chances and steam.
