Seeking Sweet Love
College graduation is a time of celebration—appreciating the knowledge, experiences and friends gained over the past four years—but, graduation can be stressful as the college graduates anticipate the future with which their college classes, experiences and travels equipped them. So, it was not surprising that the 3 college friends, Cassie, Nadia and Dakota, would head to Las Vegas to party and to celebrate their achievements and anticipate the next steps in their lives.
For most young graduates, the future is still uncertain, but Dakota Jennings, her future was already mapped out by her family’s past. Beautifully curvy Dakota embraced with joy and excitement the pathway already mapped out by her grandparents, her mom, and now, for herself, with her family’s generational bakery—Sweethearts Bakery. And while Dakota’s plan was to step into the family business she also wished to pursue an MBA to further equip her with skills for the business and financial organization of the business.
But before moving forward professionally, Dakota with her long blonde hair and her big brown eyes first planned on a holiday weekend with her college besties, Cassie and Nadia. What she didn’t plan for her last night in Vegas was to meet a big handsome man with dark hair and blue eyes who unexpectedly walked in on the 3 slightly tipsy friends attempting to mimic the routine of the skilled Vegas dancers on an empty stage. And while the friends are attractive, he is immediately taken by Dakota’s curves and attempted dance moves. And when he overhears the curvy blonde’s declared interest in him, he decides to get acquainted, inviting the beautiful blonde to join him for dinner. And when their dinner extends to a night in his room, Dakota chooses to slip out before her one-night-lover awakens for breakfast.
Now, 5 years later, financial entrepreneur Ben McCullough, CEO of McCullough Industries, has decided to replicate his NYC successes in LA. Leaving his friends and family behind and head west. What no one knows is that while Ben’s business acumen has been rewarded repeatedly bringing him great pleasure and contentment, he has struggled to find the same life contentment. And so, he closes down his NYC operation and relocates to LA with an eye to locating small businesses that he can invest in and coach to the next level of success.
So, when he walks into a small family-owned bakery, Sweethearts Bakery in its original building in a less than desirable location but with amazing baked goods, he is interested. And, after talking to the owner, an older woman, Cynthia Jennings, he discovers that they are in need of an infusion of funds to address the problems of an aging building and equipment. Sweethearts Bakery is exactly the type of business that he is seeking in which to invest. Pleased by the possible infusion of funds, Cynthia says that she needs him to talk to her daughter who is picking up her son, Oliver. But, when Cynthia’s daughter walks in accompanied by a young boy with blonde hair and blue eyes, Ben comes face-to-face with the woman he has thought about for the last 5 years.
