Mattison Mouse Counts
Wearing his favorite hat, Mattison Mouse is happy to venture outside on a beautiful day. Soon the little mouse hears mysterious footsteps behind him. What started out as a cheerful stroll turns uncertain as he begins to count animals who appear to be shadowing him. In a rush to run away, Mattison trips and loses his hat. It’s only then he learns to refocus and overcome his anxieties, surprised by the special party his animal friends have planned for him.

What a great time your about to have with your toddler, this brightly colored hard covered book is perfect for little hands.
Be ready for a fun time as you see what is following Mattison, you'll soon be counting aloud and then laughing together as you see what is at the end of the line!

I have five grandchildren and a great granddaughter. I have lots of experience reading books to little children. This book is absolutely delightful! Little children will absolutely love following Mattison Mouse from page to page and celebrating with him at the end. The counting lessons are fun to follow and the illustrations are perfect for the age group.

Mattison Mouse begins the day by putting on his favorite hat and going outside for a stroll. He becomes afraid when he hears footsteps behind him. He runs in freight, but trips and loses his hat, only to find that his animal friends have planned a special birthday party for him. The footsteps he heard were of his animal friends, 1 elephant, 2 kangaroos, 3 lions, etc. up to 9 hedgehogs.
The wonderfully written story by Raven Howell is a great introduction for a child learning to count. The book is attractively illustrated by Keeshan Defay. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended!
