I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The story starts with Jasmine on vacation at her parents' house. Jasmine is sunbathing when the phone rings and her mother answers it. After hearing nothing from her mother, Jasmine goes inside and asks about the call. Her mother has received a call that Jasmine's father has been killed in a fire. Jasmine goes to the hospital knowing that she was going to have to identify the body as her father. At the hospital she runs into Marcus, a fellow lawyer from her firm, and discovers that Ava's brother was also killed in the fire. Ava had told Marcus things that her brother had told her and just that easy, an accidental fire has turned into something else. Jasmine now had an idea that something was not kosher. She decided that she would look into it and as a result Jasmine's mother wanted nothing to do with Jasmine.

After the funeral, Jasmine returned to NY and then began looking into the individual that owned the building where the fire had happened. As she began her search she ran into several roadblocks. Working with Marcus and soon bringing Bob, a cop that Jasmine once dated, the started looking into Montgomery, the building's owner, to learn more about him. As things were progressing, both Jasmine's and Marcus's aprtments had been broken into. Jasmine unfortunately ran into the indivual who broke into her apartment where she was warned to drop her hunt on the case she and Marcus were working on. Lucky for Jasmine, Bob arrived at her apartment and scared the intruder off. Because of this incident, Jasmine went back to her mother's house to find out what was going on. Jasmine believed that her mpother was providing information to Montgomery. She learned then that her mother's neighbor Dottoe was responsible. Jasmine was then told about events that had occurred many years earlier.

With information that Jasmine learned on her trip home, she was then able to bring Montgomery to trial. To learn what Jasmine learned from Dottie and her mother, what the purpose of the trial was and how it all ended, then you need to read this book.

The Inferno Case
By
Ellis Keler

The Inferno Case by Ellis Keler is a legal thriller that will draw you in and keep you captivated until the very end. Jasmine Davis is a New York attorney from a small town in West Virginia called Wellton. While home on a vacation from the hustle and bustle of the big city, tragedy stricks Jamine’s family when her father is tragically killed in a factory fire, along with thirty other factory workers. Although the fire was officially determined to be accidental, Jasmine soon learns that there may be a nefarious motive for the cause of the fire, and it centers around the town's benefactor, Charles Montgomery.
The tragedy of the story, most notably the loss of lives, evolves on many levels, some being unpredictable twists and scary scenarios that are hard to comprehend, to the attitude of some of the town’s residents for their failure to recognize that a man they have trusted for years may have betrayed them for his own benefit. The story was a page-turner and engaging to the point I, at times, had a hard time putting the book down.
The story was well-written and the world-building was exceptional, to the point of building a case and bringing it to trial. I do believe, however, that the courtroom drama and attorney exchanges could have been stronger and more challenging.
I enjoyed reading The Inferno Case and am looking forward to reading the next installment of the Jasmine Davis Legal Thriller Series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy.

The INFERNO CASE in the first installment in the Jasmine Davis Legal Thriller series by Ellis Keler. This is a great start ti a new series. The story has good solid characters and a well paced story line. The plot is mostly a search for evidence, followed by an impossible mind-blowing murder trial on just how far will the rich go to be richer

Jasmine is a lawyer working in New York. She's returned West Virginia to visit her parents and for a well needed vacation. She's relaxing, soaking up the sun when her father along with 29 others are killed in a factory fire.  Wanting to know about how and why the fire happened, she starts to believe the fire may not be an accident afterall. With the help of a cop and her investigator she starts looking for clues.

The more she investigates the more warnings to leave it alone she gets. Then things start to get deadly for her and the people helping her. And why is her mother upset with her?

I would definitely recommend it. I received an advance copy of this book from the author and this is my honest review.

What I didn't like: This read would have five stars if not for the grammatical errors, even the main bad guy had his name misspelled.

Also the part at the end of the book where you have to download a few pages to actually finish the book is a painnin the boot. This should be added to the story as an Epilogue. What happens if I'm reading with no internet connection? A real waste of my time.

Jasmine Davis, 37, grew up in a small town in West Virginia with two hard-working parents. She became an attorney in New York and is very successful. When she headed home for a week's vacation, staying at her parents’ house, she will receive news that will inherently not only change her life but will bring about a huge case~ Her father is killed in a fire at the factory he worked at, including 29 others. When she discovers evidence that foul play might exist, she decided to tackle it head-on, even going as far as to become estranged from her mother. Another attorney in her office, Marcus, also from the same town, has a personal interest in the case. They start digging deeper, with the help of a cop friend, Bob, and start hitting pay dirt; only to have a thug threaten Jasmine’s life~ It has come to the key traits of the case, her mother and her best friend, that will give her everything needed to tie everything together. Now, she has to face this billionaire in court trying to convict him of the deaths of the factory workers. He is facing prosecution of other sorts from higher-ups. It is a toss of the dime if she will be able to get him convicted…but if she does not try, she can never live with herself…how will it end? The book eludes there is more to come…

"The Inferno Case" by Ellis Keler

My Sentiments:

'The Inferno Case' was an excellent legal thriller read that featured Jasmine Davis. The passing of her father and Jasmine wanting to know the real cause of his death bring her to investigate what happened to him and 29 other people. This author gave the reader some exciting characters and a well-written storyline to keep one turning the pages until the end. I liked the extended epilogue; that did an excellent job explaining the ending with Jasmine and her mom's relationship.

This is the first Book in the Jasmine Davis Legal Thriller Series. It begins with Jasmine finally going home to West Virginia for a vacation. While she is there, her father and 29 other people are killed in a fire in the factory where he works. When she runs into a coworker visiting his girlfriend in town, the girlfriend doesn't believe that it was an accident. When she starts asking her mother questions, she begs her not to pursue an investigation. When she investigates the owner of the factory, she finds out more than she thought she would.

Great characters and a great plot makes for a great read.

Jasmine Davis is a lawyer who has returned to her hometown in West Virginia. While there, she and her mother learn their father was died in a terrible factory fire. Everyone thinks it's an accident, but one person thinks. That the owner of the factory, Charles Montgomery, was involved in the fire. I found the characters very good in the story, and they were very real life. The plot revolves around how Jasmine has to find out all the clever ways that Charles Montgomery has been hiding how he has been getting this fortune as a billionaire. I recommend this book for all who like crime thrillers.

Grinding out corporate greed

Ellis Keller shoots a bullseye dead center when creating an intense Unputdownable legal thriller. All the elements are set to ignite from page one. Characters are fully developed and the scenes breathe life into the twisty plot. This read would have five stars if not for the grammatical errors. The tempo of the story kept getting snagged by incorrect and missing words, tense and pronoun changes. The final product is still a great read but annoying to get through the errors that are totally avoidable before publishing.

Jasmine is visiting her parents in West Virginia, when her mother gets the call that her father has been killed in an accident at the factory. Jasmine is a lawyer that goes after big corporations to make them liable for things that happens in their places of business. Jasmine thinks something is off with this fire. Her mother disagrees, after all the owner, Charles Montgomery has done nothing wrong, and only good for the town. Jasmine doesn't agree with her mother, and most of the town. Who is right?

Wow, what a thrilling story

Absolutely amazing and thrilling journey of mystery and discovery. This story though sad is indeed very interesting, entertaining as well as inspiring. The characters are absolutely interesting and the story line as well. I was very much enthralled with all the turns and twists and turns throughout the story. Definitely a must read and highly recommended. A wonderful extended epilogue with a bittersweet ending for the town’s losses but also the rewards finally to rid itself of the contemptuous billionaire. Wonderful story. Congratulations!

Good book, but not great

I gave it 3 stars due to the failure of proof reading. Several chapters the proof reader failed to correct the sentence did not make sense. One of my pet peeves is the failure of proof readers. This book contained the most, and very noticeable errors. Sorry for just 3 stars, but the publishers should realize it cannot rely on auto correct. I overlook a misspelled word, but some words have double meanings which leaves the reader confused.

Jasmine home for the passing of her father, to learn he didn't die of natural causes. But she doesn't let it rest. Sticking her nose into things that might get her killed. A fast paced novel with great characters and a heart pounding storyline. This is one of the authors best works. A very enjoyable, twisted read

Don't waste your time

The plot is totally transparent. The writing is juvenile and boring. The legal aspects were not research. No prosecutor would be able to try a case in which her father was killed and the evidence was ridiculously slight. Will never get back the time I wasted reading this book.

Very interesting story

I found this book to be a little slow for the most part. The defense basically said nothing. Keeping what I just said in mind I still enjoyed reading it.
