An exciting fun read
I really enjoyed this book. A lot of interesting twists. I hated to see it end. I really wish the follow up would come sooner than is projected.

Good but not great.
Like many sequels, this book was good but not up to the standards of the first in several areas. There were multiple typos and grammatical errors that were enough to detract from several scenes. The storyline was good and some of it was surprising but some was also typically predictable. Spoiler Alert: I was very disappointed that Zed survived, at first I thought the authors took a brave chance killing off a main character but it turned out they did not unfortunately. The story could have been told so much better.

The war with the Paladin continues and Glory is in the thick of it,
Idri’s former bodyguard LT. Warren, finds himself trapped in a Paladin prisoner camp. Within that camp, is a research facility that is working on a very radical space ship. Warren escapes with a fellow prisoner, a researcher who worked on that ship, they make their way back to Terran space and end up on Glory. Drake, Glory’s Captain, sets out on a dual purpose mission, destroy that new ship and free the remaining prisoners. Glory and her crew are on head on collision with the Paladin again.

Nice read except the stupid love story
Would have given it 5 stars as it was a game well played.
But the dumb love thing between Zed and Carroll diminished the impact.
Not sure why good writers often feel the need for this unstable emotion.
Keep it out to keep your stories ... solid.
Paragonians ... now that was masterful move from a race of beings I admire.
The flesh indeed is something to be overcome.

nail biter
Too many space books have endless fighter battles and I can’t relate. But this one had me on the edge of my seat till the end. Well not the end of course. Will follow this one.

It’s a good read if you have patience. The storyline had its moments, but it took a while to get to the point. Some chapters were really engaging, while others dragged on unnecessarily. The characters were interesting, but not enough to make it a page-turner. It’s a mixed bag.

What a wonderful follow up to the first book! Lots of action and a heist. A great addition to the series. Can’t wait for the next one.
