Forbidden Intentions

Rate this book
Four masks. Three strangers. Two words. One night. Zero chance of a future.

Yes, sir.

That was the game. One night of fun, of seeing what it was like to be sexually adventurous and finally have the orgasms I’d never gotten. Masks and wigs kept my anonymity—and theirs.

Or so I thought.

Two days later, champagne in hand, I realize the eyes looking back at me are familiar, too familiar. They are the same shades as the masked men who gave me the strongest orgasms of my life.

And they belong to the three gorgeous men who are, as of today, my stepbrothers.

It’s clear they recognize me as easily as I recognize them, and their new statuses as my brothers aren’t stopping them from seducing me back into their beds, whether together or separately.

The wicked smiles they bestow on me promise pleasure and pain if I’m willing to face the consequences. Consequences even they didn’t see coming.

The husky words they murmur say it all as they back me into a corner.

Family comes first.

3.5⭐️ 2🌶️

This started off really good and I was hooked within the first two chapters. I adored her relationship with Mel and Grace, plus the raw honesty Minnie doled out in the beginning.

I did notice there was a mix up with Miles and Carter a couple times throughout the book, mainly the chapter in which they first met Minnie. Almost like the author decided to change their names and actions but forgot to edit that part? Carters mask was supposed to be blue, while Miles was gold. But the entire scene it was opposite, and then the description for Miles on their first ‘friend date’ wasn’t the same as what was previously written in Carters POV.

The pacing was a bit off in the middle, some conversations felt dragged out and overly explained/repetitive (mainly between her and the girls) while scenes with the guys, when they weren’t getting frisky, felt sped up.

I do, however, appreciate the realness of them having jobs that they needed to tend to so they weren’t together 24/7.

Minnie was a bittttt of a Debbie Downer though at 85+% and still questioning if the guys liked her when it was painfully clear. I know her mom really fucked her up but I couldn’t help roll my eyes 😂

The ending felt rushed and that big dark moment felt… out of place at 89%. I almost thought we were getting a duet at one point because of it. Maybe it wouldn’t have if it was like 65-70%? Then it could give them a good foundation to build from instead of everything moving at the speed of light.

My favorite character was definitely Grace 😂😂 she killed me with that office scene!

Overall, I did like this for the most part! I’m kinda hoping we get another book, but maybe about Grace and Levi? I think they would be a good match.

Not good, not bad. 2.5⭐️

This was not for me, but it’s an issue of preference, not quality or talent.
There is nothing wrong with this. It’s well thought out, and very well written.

However, be warned, there are definitely potential triggers for some. But other than that, there’s no reason not to recommend for those who enjoy the style. I’m just not one of them.

Straight up, contemporary romance. Some kink, RH - 3 male half siblings.
Some violence, some sexual assault, no mystery.
Issues of emotional abuse, manipulation, gaslighting, co-dependency, emotional instabilities, narcissism, and hints of family physical abuse.

It has moments that are a little too easy, a little too unrealistic, but otherwise well handled, especially considering the topics, particularly without going overboard or too dark.
The MMC’s are often are little too ‘verbally perfect’, saying all you could hope, thinking and discussing everything in ways you stereotypically wouldn’t expect, or believe…
Kinda like the new age version of dominant, or the PC interpretation. They even say goodness, instead of god 😅 cute, but not so sexy for me.

Very romance and relationship driven, with the action only appearing in the last 1/4.
All the good guys are very politely likeable ☺️

Best of luck to those so inclined.

I absolutely loved everything about this book, from the characters to the plot. The only thing that disappointed me was the ending as I would have liked to read more about the characters dealing with the aftermath of the attack both together and individually, maybe a longer epilogue or just more chapters in general as the end did seem a little rushed, but that’s just my opinion and the fact I was enjoying it so much and didn’t want it to end 😂

Awe I really adored this read! I thoroughly loved all the characters. The Guys were amazing. Minn was adorable, sweet an awkward. I hope we get more of these characters. I am so interested in Grace and Mel and the two guys that were mentioned. This was a fabulous read.

Surprisingly delightful!

This one snuck up on me. It's a sweet spicy story. I'm definitely going to track down the next in the series and see if Sins and Secrets has another match as unputdownable as this one (read in one sitting!). Five sweet stars and four 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

The perfect combination of sexy and sweet. One star deduction due to some fluff that needed to be trimmed out, but other than that, just a really enjoyable read.

And I will never stop thanking authors that write books featuring childfree characters. Representation matters. Thank you!

Solid 4 stars

Contemporary RH can be tricky. Quinn does a pretty decent job of it. It's not Mt favorite story by her, hence the 4 stars.

Literally read till 42% to know what the plot looks like.
The book seems to be written by someone who is a teenager discovering smut.
