Oliver and Rowan is hands down my favorite book in this series! The depth of the relationship, the healing of old wounds, and the way the characters grow together made this an absolute winner in my eyes. Oliver Hawthorn’s journey from heartache to love is one you can’t help but root for, and Rowan is the perfect woman to help him heal and find happiness.
Oliver has always felt a bit alone, even though he’s surrounded by family and success. His brothers have found their soulmates, and his father found love again after the heartbreaking loss of their mother. But for Oliver, it always seemed like the connection he longed for was just out of reach. When his best friend’s ex-girlfriend, Rowan, unexpectedly reappears in his life, it shakes everything up. Rowan isn’t just his best friend’s ex anymore—she’s a skilled, determined woman who has a Masters in Cyber Security and a job at Hawthorn LTD, the company Oliver works for. And now, she’s standing right in front of him, ready to take on the world, and Oliver can’t ignore the pull he feels toward her.
The emotional complexity of this story is truly fantastic. Oliver is torn between his lingering feelings for Rowan and his loyalty to his best friend, Trevor, whose heart she broke years ago. Yet, what makes this book so special is watching Oliver and Rowan rebuild their friendship and create a deeper connection—one that’s stronger, healthier, and more authentic than before. Their romance unfolds naturally, allowing both of them to heal from their pasts and grow stronger together.
Rowan is a total powerhouse of a character. Strong, sassy, and fiercely independent, she’s not the type of woman to sit back and let life pass her by. What I love most is that Oliver doesn’t try to change her. Instead, he embraces her for exactly who she is—flaws, strengths, and everything in between. Their chemistry is palpable, and it’s easy to see why they’re soulmates.
The pacing of their romance is spot-on. The surprise pregnancy at the end might have been a little late in the book, but I loved that it came in the epilogue. It gave the couple the time they needed to develop a solid foundation without rushing things. When Oliver chooses Rowan above all else, including his friendship with Trevor, it’s a beautiful, heart-wrenching moment that showcases just how deep his love for her is.
This book is a perfect blend of heartfelt emotion, sizzling chemistry, and a dash of suspense. Watching Oliver and Rowan heal, grow, and ultimately find happiness together was an absolute joy. If you're a fan of slow-burn romance with a deeply satisfying payoff, Oliver and Rowan is definitely for you. It’s a must-read in this series, and I can’t wait to see what comes next!
In short, this book is a solid 4-star read for me. Oliver and Rowan's journey is nothing short of beautiful, and I’m so happy to have witnessed their love story unfold. Highly recommend!
